Favorably and extensively reviewed and proven to be effective by students, the accent-reduction program developed from Burrkowsky's (1969) multi-media method. I have taught this subject for over five years for public and private causes, such as library, individuals, and language schools. My emphasis for pronunciation is an ecological practice of the various sounds, rhythms, inflections, and patterns the spoken language integrates.

The goal is to develop a comprehensive, systematic sound profile based on lesson/MP3 recordings using audio monitoring software. Also, a crash course option exists based more on broad familiarization than intensive practice-orientation. The course encompasses more than 135 pdf and word files, along with multimedia items.

All ages and skill levels are welcome. Lessons will focus mostly on pronunciation and other areas of speech production. Learning the English language will not be the focus, but I will help to answer any vocabulary and grammar questions you have.

All lessons are individualized and tailored for each student's goals and preferences. The overarching goal of my accent modification lessons is for your speech to be better understood but not to completely eliminate your accent, as it is part of who you are.
