I teach music the way music should be taught: fun, interesting, patient, and without intimidation. I teach the music YOU want to learn and will learn new music specifically for you if that is what you wish to study. In your very first lesson, you will start learning to play a song. Instead of only focusing on drilling scales and techniques, I will teach you how apply these in a musical context. I teach musicians of all ages, using the same proven approach. My students range in age from young children to middle school, high school, and college students, as well as working professionals and retirees. I bring my own enthusiasm for learning, my love of music, and a desire to pass on my knowledge into every lesson!

We'll work on guitar fundamentals, sound, technique, combined with learning music from the artists that inspire you, but most importantly have lots of fun! We'll decide on a couple short-term and long-term goals, which will help you see your progress and keep you motivated!
I can also teach you the fundamentals of music theory and ear training upon request; perfect for someone planning on applying to music college.

Hello! I’ve been playing guitar for over half my life and teaching for five years now. My love for music has played a huge role in my life, and I love sharing this passion with my students. Whether you are wanting to learn how to perform, compose music, or play your favorite song, I promise to help you achieve your goal. I’ve taught a variety of ages, and I truly believe it's never too early or late to learn an instrument. Every student is unique in what they are wanting to learn, so I promise to structure each student’s lessons to fit their individual goals and interests. It's also very important to me that my students enjoy each and every lesson, so the student is in complete control of their learning.

I have been teaching electric guitar for the last 5 years. I can help you learn more about open/bar chords, finger picking, palm muting, scales, power chords, tone shaping and soloing/improvisation. We can also work on learning your favorite tunes and maybe writing of some of your own! I am here to help you achieve your goals as a guitar player.
