I lived and attended school in Dominican Republic for many years. I also studied Spanish in the US for few years. Most importantly, what would differ me from other instructors is that, I enjoy keeping sessions fun and interactive while making sure the lesson is comprehensible.

As a speaker of four languages, I have discovered many approaches through research that promote better learning experience. These approaches almost guarantee learners to better adapt to a language.

I'm a native English speaker who learned Brazilian Portuguese on the streets, as I like to call it, while I lived in Brazil for a couple of years. I have attained full command of the language, with intimate knowledge of the grammar structure as well as an extensive vocabulary. I've been speaking fluently for close to 5 years now. In that time, I've successfully convinced many Brazilians that I too was a Brazilian, meaning that I've completely gotten rid of the American accent. I did this in both Brazil and the U.S. I still consistently speak with native Brazilians and always am seeking to expand my own vocabulary. To add on, my girlfriend is a native Brazilian, and her father is currently seeking his master's degree (well, the Brazilian equivalent) in Portuguese (like, somebody here in the U.S. receiving their graduate degree in English). Each lesson is catered to the individual's needs and goals. So, as Ice Cube and his crew, NWA once famously stated, during lessons with me, you're ...

I wrote 5 star review (would give more if could) But showing as 4 stars... not sure why. So writing another one! But I can't say enough great things about Andrew. After 1 tutoring session my son had so many "ah ha" moments. I am so thankful and full of joy. My son is actually "getting it" and may even see how math could be fun...lol.

"If you are looking for a caring, friendly and very experienced learning facilitator in the German language and culture, then you need look no further than Wolfgang Soldan. Mr. Soldan was my instructor in a conversational German class at the former UTB Language Institute in Brownsville. I liked him as a teacher so much that I later sought him out for additional private lessons, which he provided to me in his home at a very reasonable price. I was very impressed with Mr. Soldan in both situations. Mr. Soldan was always extremely well prepared. He challenged me with a variety of interesting and fun learning activities. He tailored the lessons to my level of experience. He was even reasonably available for additional assistance outside of our arranged meetings. With a lifelong passion for teaching and the arts, Mr. Soldan has also accumulated a wealth of knowledge about additional learning resources to supplement your individual experience. Mr. Soldan built on my existing level of German and left me with a stronger foundation as well as desire to continue my studies. Mr. Soldan has my highest recommendation to provide you with a superior learning experience that will be well worth your time and money. You will be in good hands with Mr. Soldan. Contact him now!"

"As someone with no previous history of or propensity for learning a foreign language, let alone a tonal language far removed from the Germanic/Romance languages of Europe, I can not recommend Thầy Châu enough. All current progress and any future success in Vietnamese that I should enjoy is a testament to not only his propensity for Vietnamese and philology, but his mastery of pedagogy. Simply put, with his experience, uncompromising standards, and uncommon patience, the student’s own effort is the only hurdle to be overcome in order to accomplish one’s goals in this language."

"Two things really impress me about Amani. First, I love to practice speaking, even though I know I make frequent errors. She's patient and lets me get my ideas across, without over-correcting. She engages in real conversation which is a huge confidence-booster. Second, she's knowledgeable and willing to engage in a wide range of subjects in current events and Arab culture: real, human topics. She's very open and professional and does not shy away from issues that are sometimes sensitive or controversial. I always look forward to my lessons with Amani."
