Ballet has been my passion for almost 18 years. I started when I was 3 (now I'm 22), and I only love ballet more and more each day. I was trained in the Vaganova style of ballet (Russian) until I was 14 in Minnesota. When I moved to Ohio for high school, the dance school in my area taught in the Balanchine style of American ballet. When I returned to Minnesota for college in 2015, I started dancing at the Minnesota Dance Theater. I recently moved to Florida and run my own home dance studio. Serena was a wonderful instructor/tutor to my 12yr old son. He was able to absorb the material easily and retain the lessons learned in order to improve his performance at school. I would definitely recommend Serena if you are serious about learning a specific subject you or your children may be lacking in.

I took a film production history with Serena and to my big surprise the course was quite interesting. I needed help with Film production history so I wont have to retake the class and I'm glad Serena was able to help me. she made the class that was actually dreadful to me to something less challenging. An appreciation of Avetik, the Teacher



I have had the good fortune to watch Avetik in international ballet competitions in which he has consistently won medals, so anyone looking for a coach could not find a more experienced and competition wise individual.



Anyone who has watched his Avetik's Workout cannot have any doubts that he has a knowledge and control of the human body which is unmatched by any dancer I have seen. I base my opinion on 80 years in the profession of classical ballet.


In my professional opinion he has the most secure and strong classical technique unparalled by any dancer, anywhere today. This as a result of the training which he received some the greatest male teacher of his time.


He understood then, and maintains now, that great tradition in his teaching. It would be hard, if not impossible, to find better training anywhere now.

He also will has the very rare qualities that make a great teacher. Without patience, understanding and gentleness combined with discipline, no teacher can expect to get results.

Anyone who has the chance to study with him must consider themselves the most fortunate student.
