I have been playing acoustic guitar for over 20 years and teaching for about 10 years. I'm happy to share my knowledge and expertise with students of all ages and skill levels - beginner to advanced.

About Gio
I studied music at UCF (Orlando), focusing on classical and jazz guitar, but I also have years of experience playing rock, blues, folk, hip-hop, and musical theater on both guitar and drums.

I have been teaching guitar, drums, and piano for about eight years to students of all ages. Music is what I'm passionate about and it's what I enjoy. I want to inspire that same passion into the hearts and minds of others.

*** Lesson Details ***
I am a laid-back teacher, fun, and I focus on the needs, abilities, and ambitions of the student. In turn, students must realize that learning an instrument takes a lot of work and dedication. One can't expect to learn very much if s/he only practices or thinks about the instrument during the lesson. If the student is willing to put some time into practicing, then I will help them go far!

*** Studi
o Equipment ***
I have several guitars, a drum kit, djembe, mandolin, clarinet and full-size keyboard.

*** Specialties ***
Guitar: Classical, jazz, American or Irish folk, rock and pop; lead or rhythm.
Drums & Percussion: All genres
Piano: Classical (includes sight reading)

About Benjamin
I grew up in Glenside moved to Pittsburgh for school and came back because I love it here...I've been playing for 17 years and have a smorgasbord of influences from Zeppelin to the Beatles to Phish to Radiohead to the dirty projectors to Jay Z to Kurt Rosenwinkel & John Scofield. I have been composing and working with original bands for some 11 years and play regularly in the city and up and down the east coast. I have also been teaching for the past 11 years all over the Philadelphia area. i teach from a method I derived myself from years of learning both in and out of school. I think teaching music is both aural as well as visual and encourage students to listen to music a lot. most of all i feel that music is fun and the students should enjoy learning so i incorporate their favorite artists and favorite songs into our studies. for seri
ous students I love theory and love sharing what I've discovered over the years.

*** Lesson Details ***
I'm a very laid back guy but I take my playing seriously. music is my life and there's nothing I enjoy sharing and expressing more. I learned to love playing guitar when I was 12 from the coolest guitar teacher ever. he had a vibe that i gravitated toward and encouraged me in just the right ways to get me believing in myself. I try to encourage my students the same way. music should be fun above all and sculpt my lessons to each students individual needs so that they are better equipped to succeed.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I expect them to provide guitar/bass/piano

I have been playing guitar (self taught) for about 25 years, just not very well. I was looking for a teacher that could help me fill in the music theory gaps. As well as help me formulate a meaningful practice plan that will get me over my hump. I gotta say Scott has hit the nail on the head every lesson. He first listened.. and as a result has delivered an eye opening and inspiring lesson every time. I highly recommend Scott for guitarists of all levels. He knows his STUFF!! Better yet, he knows how pull what YOU need from what he knows and deliver it effectively.

Want to impress all the girls with your skills? Do you get envious every time a guy named Chad starts strumming Wonderwall at Suzy's backyard bonfire? Well then I've got GOOD NEWS for you! You can be better than Chad with a few simple steps, and I'll show you how!

Want to just learn chords and play simple songs to impress your parents who have never been proud of you? I'm your guy!

Want to learn in depth music theory and become a huge snob that can't enjoy anything on the radio? I'm your hook up!

Whatever you want to learn, I can give you the tools to succeed! (At least, more than Chad...)

Fair priced lessons with a hint of comedy, what else could you ask for?

About Brody
Music has always been a huge passion of mine. I attended the Ohio State University, playing guitar in the Jazz program.

Most of my time is spent either composing and arranging songs for my online content, or performing in venues with my band. Performance is a huge part of my life, and I think learning to perform in front of a crowd is just as essential as learning the notes themselves. It builds character and helps to provide confidence to a person in lieu of nervous, anxious thoughts.

If there's one thing I would want to see more of in this world, it would be people performing what they love. I've always felt that music can create an unspoken bond between people that can't be felt through any other medium. That's why, more than anything, I want to be able to share my love and knowledge of music with as many people as possible so t
hat the world can become more harmonious.

I have been playing guitar as my main instrument for almost 20 years. I am a multi-instrumentalist who writes, records, and produces his own alternative/indie rock music (check me out on Spotify, Apple, Soundcloud, Amazon, Google!).

We can develop a lesson plan specifically for what you want to accomplish: covering your favorite songs, writing original songs, improvising, reading music/tabs, and "shredding".

About Taylor
Hello! My name is Taylor and I have been playing guitar since I was 10 (that puts me around 20 years experience at this point in my life). I have picked up singing, drums, piano, and bass since then. I write and record my own music in my own “studio” during free time from work. I occasionally will play cover sets at venues/events for $$$.

I have had 3-4 students in my life and I believe each has met their goals partly from my teaching, but mostly by their own commitment to put the time into practicing what I tell/show them. I have 1 student that just graduated ASU for guitar performance, and another student that writes/records/plays out with his band.

If you are willing to listen and put time in to what I ask you to practice then we should be able to accomplish what you are aiming for in music!

I started with Peter when I was 13 years old and continued taking weekly lessons until I was 19. In those 7 years Peter helped take my playing from an intermediate level to a near expert level. Our weekly meetings ranged from just learning new songs, music theory, or just jamming over backing tracks we would create. Peter is knowledgable in every form of music. In our years of lessons we enjoyed playing classic rock, blues, jazz, classical, and gypsy jazz. Peter was able to walk me teach me through the beginning levels of Music Theory.

Most importantly through our 7 years together, became was able to take me from a very shy musician to someone who was very confident on stage playing at different bars. Peter went from being a teacher to a very close friend as he helped me grow. Although I do not take lessons with him anymore due to being away at college, I keep in touch with Peter every time I am home.

I would highly recommend Peter to anyone at any level guitar playing. He has the patience someone needs if you're just starting out and the expertise to help take even some of the best players to the next level.

I taught myself how to play acoustic guitar a summer ago and I'd love to show you the ropes from my own experience! I'll teach you the basics of chord making and strumming, after which you can pretty much play anything you'd like.

About Kelly
I'm a student biologist, chemist, writer, violist, violinist, pianist, guitarist, and music arranger (not usually at the same time). I primarily play viola in symphony orchestras and chamber ensembles; occasionally I'll jump to violin in pit orchestra productions for musicals. I'm currently pursuing a major in Molecular Biology and a minor in Music. I've had an effusive passion for learning and an ineffable desire to share it with others for as long as I can remember. I hope to go into science education after graduate school, while still maintaining my strong ties to the music programs I'm fortunate to be around.

- Youth Music Monterey Pam and Chuck McGowin Award for Outstanding Contributions (2019)
- Central Coast Section Honors Orchestra (2018, 2019)
- California Orchestra Directors' Association Honors Orchestra (2017, 2018)

Recently, I was named Most Inspirational and given an Outstanding Achievement award for my work in my school's music program. I was incredibly lucky to be able to arrange and orchestrate 'Ripple' for the string orchestra, in honor of a late teacher. For the same teacher, I later arranged five more campy 70s tunes--among which were Mr. Blue Sky and September--for a benefit concert that I helped lead.

I'm unfortunately unable to give advice to advanced students, since I'm always learning myself. However, if you're just starting out on the viola or violin, I'd love to teach you using what I've learned! The memories of my own journey are fresh for me, and I know it can sometimes be discouraging or aimless. My goal is to guide you towards the blinding light at the end of the tunnel and to help you out of whatever plateau you're in, whether you're in a transition period to a higher-level orchestra or if you don't know where to start putting your fingers.

I've been playing guitar for almost 15 years, and now I want to spread the love! For me, guitar is all about expressing yourself to the fullest, and lead guitar is the epitome.
You see, lead guitar is as complex as the English language. There are tons of different dialects, words that sound similar but mean something completely different, different ways to pronounce the same word, but don't let that scare you! I'm not your traditional guitar teacher, I will take time to get to know you and your skill level, and then tailor your lessons accordingly. I won't give you all the technical lingo unless you want it, and my lessons aren't your typical, boring, "here, take this sheet of paper and play things". Expect to bring a smile and have some fun! Too many teachers make learning guitar too serious, and that can destroy natural talent and will. Don't let a bad teacher steal your joy!
Learning guitar can be easy and fun, and it's one of the most incredible ways to express yourself. Let me ...

About Joel
As you might already know, my name is Joel, and I've been playing guitar for almost 15 years. Guitar is my number one passion in life, and helping others is a close second.

I have a beautiful fiance, Hana, an adorable dog named Pryor, and two cats, one named Pierre and the other is Petri! We live in an RV and plan to travel the country experiencing some of the most beautiful scenery in the country! I love cars too, and own a 1997 Mazda Miata, although I don't get to bring it with me very often. My guitar is custom built, and I got a heck of a deal on it. The guy who built it payed around $1,400, and he never played it, so I scooped it up for $500 and it's been my perfect guitar ever since. I play it every single day, and it's even my favorite color! What's even cooler is that six months earlier, I had used Warmoth's design tool to pre
view a guitar that looks exactly like what I have. It was a blessing from God! He knew what I wanted and took care of me.

I love working with all kinds of people and helping them express themselves through guitar, and I would love the opportunity to give you the tools you need to find your guitar voice and explore your inner creativity. I'm not your traditional teacher, and my lessons aren't the uninspired "take this sheet of paper and play things". Be prepared to smile and have fun! I'd like to take time to get to know you and your skill level, and tailor your lessons accordingly. We can work together on setting goals so you can see your progress and achieve what you set out to do. If you aren't quite sure what you want to achieve, we will work together to find out exactly what you want to get out of your time with me.

Every friend I meet will receive a custom goals/homework sheet, and will have the ability to contact me any time with questions or concerns. In addition, I'll pick two friends every month to receive a Guitar Goodies box! I sincerely look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your dreams!
