d many others. She has written, recorded and performed songs in several different languages for a variety of films, television shows, and commercials such as Nickelodeon's Hollywood Heights, The Natalee Holloway Story, Spike Lee Productions, Barbie, Ponds, Target, Ford, Mazda, Pontiac, The Guiding Light, The Young and The Restless. Fawn is a very fun, yet honest and straight-forward coach. She loves working with adults and children, and considers lessons a 'team effort to reach her students' goals. Being that music and the entertainment business are her career and life, she is current and relevant, yet has plenty of old school training to be well rounded and help students build a strong foundation. Music and the entertainment business are her life, and she loves helping people reach their goals and meet their dreams. She has released 5 albums, several singles, won numerous awards and worked with such talents as Grammy winners Lalah Hathaway and Paula Cole, Meredith Brooks, Vampire Diaries Kat Grahm, BT, Jeff Goldblum, Right Said Fred, Ed Townsend, QD3, Club Nuveau's Val Watson, Robbie Benson and shared the stage with Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Carol Channing, Kevin Sorbo, Pink, Joss Stone, David Guetta, Katy Perry, Moby, Dionne Warwick, James Torme', David Foster, Thelma Houston, David Pomeranz, War and countless others. Over the years, Fawn has been known to bring students into her inner circle, so they can gain more experience and exposure, taking them to red carpets, events and even putting them up onstage to perform. She remembers having piano, voice and songwriting coaches, and being frustrated in voice because instructors were not addressing issues that needed to be addressed. This is why she creates a positive and comfortable, safe environment so students can open up and progress quickly. Fawn moves straight to the heart of the matter and gets whatever needs work figured out, so students can move on to what their goals and dreams are. She has helped actors be able to sing parts for their TV shows, helped popular bands be able to have good stage performances and presence with precision dancing and singing and has helped vocalists find their true voice. She is able to get piano students as young as 5 to a high-level Concerto level of playing with in 3 years, completely reading the pieces on their own. The youngest person she has ever taught was 3 years old and blind. The oldest person she has ever taught so far taught was 89 years old, after suffering a stroke. She was able to help her get her voice back within 20 minutes of her first lesson. Fawn also does vocal rehabilitation, vocal therapy, and music therapy. She has worked with special needs children with Downs Syndrome, ADHD, ADD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Pit Hopkins Disease and more. As far as being a songwriter, Fawn generally writes words and music at the same time but she has also written lyrics and music separately, as well as composed instrumental pieces. Fawn trained with Pat Pattison and Grammy winning Lyricist Marty Panzer in lyric writing and she is a master at producing, recording and editing vocals, and is happy to help you with your recording projects, as she owns Terrace Recording Studios in Los Angeles, CA.

My girl loves music. She has a great ear, timing and perfect pitch. Hence, I bought her a piano and she's been taking lessons from Fawn for a few months now. She's even practicing without being threatened or forced to. And now she is making something that sounds like music, professional music. It's its own reward. I like Fawn's style of teaching and so does my child. So I've got nothing but good things to say! Fawn is a superior coach and even though lessons are a sacrifice for this working single mom, I'm grateful to have found Fawn who keeps my child motivated, fascinated, happy, content and filled with the joy of music!

I have been teaching for more then 20 years and my main goal is to develop deep love and appreciation for music.

About Daniela
Hi ! My name is Daniela and I can't wait to meet you!
I have been teaching piano and theory since 1994 and have loved helping my students discover the beautiful world of music. Seeing my students grow into well rounded and educated people that love art, are able to recognize different styles of music, express their feelings and emotions on this wonderful instrument makes me really happy. My students range from people who simply want to learn how to play proficiently as a hobby to students who are considering making music their future career.
I strongly believe that a chance to go on a big stage and play on a great Steinway piano in front of people, makes a big difference in children's lives: teaches them self control, gives them great sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. Taking part in festivals and piano competitions helps
with building high self esteem even more.
I look forward to helping you and your children to reach your goals!

She is a great teacher and musician. I really enjoy our lessons and she has really helped me see progress.

I have over 25 years experience teaching beginner, intermediate and advanced piano students. With a Master's Degree in Music Education, I have a passion for inspiring the piano learning process in others of all ages.

Whether you have an interest in folk, classical or pops the basics in the beginning are the same. However, learning your first songs in the genre you love is the way I will teach you.

I look forward to teaching you soon. Let's begin!

About Jan
I am a professional piano teacher and music educator. I graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Master's Degree in Music Education.

Piano students can expect to improve week to week in their piano technique. Every student needs a unique teaching style for their personality. I can help any student to learn to play piano with freedom, confidence, and expression.

I teach piano students of all different ages and experience levels. I studied classical piano for 19 years, and contemporary keyboard for 7 of those. I can teach students to read music and perform classical repertoire, to learn how to play contemporary music using chord sheets, or both depending on the goals and preference of the student.

My personal passion is classical music but I firmly believe that great technique is essential to any and every style. I
look forward to meeting you and helping you to become a better musician!

If you’re reading reviews I bet you’re kinda curious how someone can help you learn Viola online. Let me tell you it really does work!! I am a 26 year old adult who decided to learn viola and Mimi has been helping me fine tune my notes and read music and theory to get better! I wouldn’t recommend online in the very beginning. I feel it was best to go to a shop, get tape on your instrument to know where the baseline for your fingers go. How much rosin to put on your bow because that is tough to tell via a camera, but once you have the basics taking lessons online is great! Mimi is very patient, she can hear my notes and tell me if it’s flat or my bowing is crooked. I send her sheet music I’m interested, we work on basics like scales then we work on sheet music! And if you’re not happy with it they offer a full refund. I would definitely give it a shot if I were you!

Having played both the piano and violin in the South Shore Youth Orchestra when I was a child, I have gained a deep perspective into the world of musical performance. Having played piano for over 16 years now, I've been able to acquire skills in many of the different styles, and have years of experience with improvisation. I've learned from my former teacher the importance of building a good foundation in musical theory, but to me the most important thing is to get my students playing as soon as they can - sight-reading is important to this, so I always put a strong emphasis on students being able to read musical notation with ease. While many teachers will try to hammer their own style upon you, it is my wish to cater to the musical interests of my student, particularly giving a heavy focus to the genre that they enjoy the most. I do not promise students going from beginner to maestro in a few months, or even years - however, I guarantee that you will be playing on Day 1, and every ...

About Christian
I have more than 16 years of experience playing the piano, and around 10 years of that has been spent either playing in the South Shore Youth Orchestra, church events, and private functions, as well as the occasional tutoring. I'm currently a college student finishing up an Associate's degree in teaching, and it's my goal to move on from there and get a Bachelor's in music. Having been certified in Teaching English as a Second Language (TEFL), I already have had non-paid teaching experience during the course of my studies, and am familiar with different methodologies in order for students to succeed. While I have not yet made a living teaching music, any student of mine going forward can be assured to gain a balanced grounding in musical theory and practical piano-playing skills. While the Classical genre is a favorite of mine, I have mor
e than dabbled in other types, such as ragtime and jazz. Since I have played in bands for different performances, I've also gained the improvisation skills necessary to play well in that kind of environment. It's my belief that music shouldn't be hammered into students, and instead be allowed to flow with their interests. If you should so decide these attributes are a good fit for you, feel free to obtain my services, but I have one condition - while I am easy-going, something that comes from my great enthusiasm in regards to music, expect to show me some dedication! A skill like piano-playing isn't something to be learned overnight, so I ask that you come with an open-mind, truly knowing that this is going to be worth it for you (if you're unsure if it's worth it, take my advice - it is!).

Music is a part of everyone. Yes, that means YOU!

Too many people say they "wish" they knew how to play an instrument, as if it wasn't up to them. As if those skills fell out of the sky and landed on people luckier than them. Well they don't.

The ability to play is a skill that YOU CAN LEARN. Music Theory is knowledge that YOU CAN LEARN. You want to learn these things, and I want to help you!

I've taught private and group piano classes in San Diego for 2 years, and it truly has become my passion. I'm constantly looking for more opportunities to grow and spread the joy of music to those who seek it.

My ultimate goal as an instructor is to inspire confidence and provide my students with the foundational tools necessary to be musicians in their own right. I want to leave you with the drive, curiosity, and tools to continue learning on your own, if and when our relationship comes to an end.

Lets get started! I look forward to meeting you!

About Perry
A little about me:

I grew up in Portland Oregon and attended Oregon State University, majoring in Economics with a minor in Music.

I moved down to San Diego in 2017 seeking a change in scenery. I absolutely love it down here, and have been fortunate to surround myself with great people.

For two years now I have been teaching private lessons and group classes at a local music center, and really enjoy the work that I do. With students of all ages, I'm comfortable in any setting and can adapt to handle any students' specific needs.

I'm easy going, I'm a self-proclaimed goofball, and I like to joke around and have fun! I honestly believe that's what makes my teaching style so effective.

But make no mistake; when it comes to teaching I'll be as real as you want me to be. I want to take your curiosity for music and turn it into knowledge
and appreciation.

Let's get started!

She is not only a truly patient teacher but also very detail-oriented instructor. I went to her apartment to take the class. It’s a very nice space. We start from very basic musical knowledge to elementary level cello practice.
