I've been taking lessons with Eric for 5 years now and continue to sound better and better! The focus of lessons has changed as I've progressed, including more forward placement and chest/mixed voice (to sing pop and rock after years of liturgical, choral singing with a darker, more head voice sound). Lately we've focused more on vowel modification and embodying the style and rhythm of songs. As I've gotten better, lessons changed from exercises and warmups to more singing through songs. I've gotten more and more confident in my singing and my voice is in the best shape it's ever been, so I highly recommend Eric!

Eric has helped my singing a lot. I could see my range increasing even after the first few lessons, really.

I so appreciated my first Lesson with Nick! We had planned to meet in person, but because of the current quarantine had to have class online - and it was wonderful! He was encouraging and clear and was able to diagnose some of my bad habits and give me ways to get past them. He also generously shared resources and repertoire. I'm much looking forward to continuing with him - just what I needed both musically and to keep my spirits up!

Chris is the most talented guitar teachers that I know. He has played out regularly and has the drive and know-how to prep you to play out. He knows theory and can explain the "why" of how things are played. His style is smooth and fluid. I would recommend him to every level of player as he is extremely knowledgeable and has a great deal of patience.
He books up quickly! Book your time slot before his schedule gets full!

One of the things that I love the most about this teacher is that he makes you trust in yourself. He pushes you until you know that, even though it looks hard, YOU can do it through discipline and practice. And then you become surprised about yourself, and your relationship with your instrument immediately becomes stronger. Chris has years and years of experience teaching music. He is a multi-instrumentalist, absolutely talented and I would absolutely recommend him! Plus his sense of humor makes everything shinier. Wouldn't pick anybody else!

"I took bass lessons with Jason during the summer. Jason provided a thorough assessment of my skills and challenged me to improve with each lesson. He was always well-prepared when the next lesson commenced. I could also always count on Jason to patiently answer any questions I had. He is also versatile in his teachings (knowledgeable about music theory, too) and will do his best to make certain your musical interests are addressed. Jason’s calm demeanor and patience were also appreciated.Jason did a great job of making certain I was satisfied with my lesson and what I was learning. "Very Good Teacher

I took bass lessons with Jon last year, and it was truly a phenomenal experience! Jon worked with me on my level and really broke down music theory in a clear manner. He also was able to pinpoint the areas I needed the most work in, and then developed drills for me to use at home between lessons. His teaching style helped me develop from a below average bass player to a proficient level…in less than 6 months! I highly recommend Jon no matter your experience level."

It is found most commonly in blues and jazz, but as you learn bass guitar, you will hear its influence in almost any style of music. A walking bass line provides a strong rhythmic and harmonic foundation by smoothly moving from each chord to the next using four quarter notes pe …
