Elizabeta is very pleasant and patient, she puts me at ease. It is a pleasure to be in her company. I'm enjoying my lessons and I am motivated to practice at home.

My daughter adores Elisabetta, and with good reason. Elisabetta is an expert in the fine art of balancing warmth and gentleness with rigorous instruction and an insistence on the importance of technique.

My daughter has been playing piano for several years, and she wants to be treated as a mature tween, not a small child who must be praised for simply getting through a piece. On the other hand, she can also be hypersensitive and react badly to criticism; she will think someone is angry with her on the slightest provocation. In other words, she is a very tough customer! But somehow, miraculously, Elisabetta gets it perfectly right, and my daughter feels respected and encouraged.

I am extremely grateful to have found such a gracious and skilled instructor, and I'm very pleased with the progress my daughter is making.

All ages are welcome. I am an experienced musician and educator with a B.M dual degree from Berklee College of Music, as well as a Master of Music Theory and Composition Degree in Scoring for Film and Multimedia from New York University.

I encourage learning with creativity and curiosity, which makes the lessons both fun and productive. I mainly teach voice, piano, music theory and composition lessons for all ages.

Besides these subjects, I also give lessons for ABRSM exam prep, college-bound musician prep, music theory placement exam, music history placement exam, ear training, arranging, orchestration, counterpoint, classical harmony, jazz harmony, Logic Pro, Sibelius and Pro Tools.

Formerly, I taught voice at City Music Mentoring Program in Boston, and worked as a music tutor at Berklee College of Music Learning Center for subjects such as harmony, ear training, arranging and counterpoint. As a music tutor, I was responsible for helping students, who were having trouble, ...

My 6yr old just took his first lesson and is hooked. Gigi is very sweet and stirred up an excitement in him. My son definitely liked the "idea" of learning the piano but is now confidant and actually writing his first song! Who knew, 5 notes and you can become a composer! BRAVO GIGI:)

I love to bring the wonders and joy of playing music to my students by learning the proper techniques of playing the piano. Lessons will be rooted in the classical tradition as once those fundamentals have been mastered, all other styles will come more naturally and easily. In addition to piano training, we will explore music theory basics, ear training and how what is learned on the piano can translate to other instruments or voice. Once or twice per year, we will have an optional group recital combining all students and skill levels. This provides a goal for the training and exposes the student to live performance - an invaluable skill on the road to mastery.

About Robert

I have 40 years of experience playing piano with a degree in music from Williams College. Living in New York City for 30 years in the Flatiron District I love to bring the joy of playing to students who are eager to learn and maintain an open mind. The art of being able to play an instrument leads

My daughter was initially sad to hear that Elizabeth would not be visiting in-person (thanks coronavirus!), but now that we have moved to remote lessons she has been able to continue her learning and still looks forward to her online lessons every week! The transition was so painless, and Elizabeth helped us along to make sure things went smoothly. Her professionalism is truly unmatched!

We recently switched to online lessons due to the current circumstances, and I have to say that it is working out great! The transition was so easy, and Elizabeth handled everything so we didn’t have to worry at all. Her feedback is always prompt and insightful, and my son has been able to stay motivated and on track with no interruption whatsoever to his learning.
