Hi everyone! I'm so excited to announce that I'm going to be teaching private or group Violin, Viola, Cello, and Ukulele lessons!
I'm a NY certified music educator and I absolutely love teaching music. I graduated in 2018 from Houghton College with a degree in music education. Last year I taught middle school orchestra and general music at a public school outside of Syracuse. This year I'm really excited to be coming back home and working with homeschoolers. Having been homeschooled myself I understand how important it is to recognize every child's individual needs and learning styles. I try to learn each child's learning style very quickly so I can teach them in a way that makes the most sense to them utilizing lost of "games" and fun activities in my lessons.
I understand that it is difficult to commit and buy an expensive instrument for a child that doesn't even know if they will like music lessons. I have rental violins available so you can be sure your child enjoys it before you ...

Danielle was a very intuitive teacher- she listened to my goals, and helped provide me with a clear path toward them, conquering some of the basics, scales, pentatonic, and such... but also some of the more advanced nuances like harmonics and vibrato. If you are trying to learn violin or fiddle, I'd recommend Danielle.

The violin showcases a player's talent more than any other instrument, some say. It's the hardest instrument of them all, others say. Whatever your goals, I am happy to play a role in your musical journey with this instrument. Follow a classical, traditional method of my own development that incorporates the most common repertoire sought after in festivals, auditions for orchestras, and auditions for colleges.

About Tasha

EDUCATION Began playing violin at the age of 11, in 5th grade with my school orchestra. Was quickly told to seek private instruction due to aptitude. Played at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp for 2 summers. Played at Interlochen Summer Camp for 2 summers, concertmaster in 2004. Played in the Symphony

Besides being a concertizing artist, I am also an educator and influencer. My passion for teaching has been a big part of my career. I have been teaching violin professionally for 10 years providing individual and group instrumental lessons in music schools and serving as an Adjunct Faculty Member in violin performance at Boyer College of Music and Dance, Temple University. These have provided me considerable experience teaching one on one and classroom settings discovering and enhancing of their inner natural knowledge through an individual approach to each student.
I believe that each person has talent in music and I strive to motivate and inspire, and I use every chance I get to reach to a broader community and encourage people to go out there and make things happen for themself, believe in themself and not be afraid to be creative. I want to drive audiences to the classical music field, because it strengthen the soul and teaches self-discipline which ultimately makes us a better

"Jonathan has been great with attention to teaching proper technique front the beginning before forming bad playing habits. In week 3 I have already felt an extreme difference. The lessons have been very straight foreword and not overwhelming at all. I look forward to learning to play the instrument well with good form."

It's one thing to experience stage fright.  But imagine being up on stage, trying to hold your violin steady and place your bow correctly, when your arm is shaking like a leaf during the fiercest Chicago winds. The mind is a powerful thing, and the physical effects that nerves can have on the body are sometimes overwhelming. Let one negative thought slip, and you might find your heart racing, your palms sweating, and your shoulders tensing - none of which are good for your playing. So how …
