About Michael

Hello future rockstars! Now is the time for you to unlock your potential and take your interest in the guitar to the next level. Whether it is for a future career, a hobby, or just to be able to play a song for your friends, I can develop a personalized plan to get you the results you desire.

I have been able to get a recent student of mine (9 yrs old) play a song on the guitar by the end of the first lessson. Another student (7yrs old) could play their favorite ukulele song after 2 lessons. I teach students how to learn faster and practice better, which leads to better results. I teach with enthusiasm and patience, and keep students engaged and excited about learning an instrument.

About Me: I just graduated from Cal State Fullerton and have been a performing and recording musician since the age of 14. I have played in restaurants,

weddings, bars and other venues all around Orange County and LA as a lead guitarist, rhythm guitarist, and bassist. I specialize in playing electric guitar in R&B and Pop music.

I believe in creating a positive and exciting work environment where we can have you develop at your own pace in a productive way. A great teacher is one that customizes their lesson to fit the student's individual needs while making the lesson educational and fun.

Being that I am one of the younger guitar teachers out there, I am able to better relate to younger students to understand their sticking points.

Do you still have some questions before you try the first lesson? I am available to answer your questions! Just message me through this website and I will respond within only a few hours.

About Jeffrey

Hello! I'm excited to all of you who have made it to my profile. I am a classically trained cellist from New Orleans who is ecstatic to teach anyone who is interested and loves the cello! I started playing cello in the 4th grade after a reading a book about a blind man playing the cello. I joined the Greater New Orleans Youth Orchestra and progressed through all of the orchestras after attaining principle chair. While in High school I attended the best art school in the city and started teaching for the New Orleans String project to begin sharing my knowledge.
I am excited to learn from you as well as teach you if you are interested! We can start with the basics or get right into the juicy stuff. Feel free to message me if you have any questions! I would love to walk you through the process and get started.Chao!

I met Jeffrey after one of his performances at Loyola University and hired him to give my son lessons. He is really passionate with his teaching and seems quite knowledgable on the subject of classical cello. Would definitely recommend him to any individuals or parents looking to hire a cello teacher out there.

About Al

Hey there,

I'm Al. Born and raised Houstonian. I love my wife, my dog, and my guitar. In my spare time I enjoy playing videos games (my favorite being Super Smash Bros.), learning new skills (I'm currently taking an online computer science course through Rice), and creating and producing original music by myself and with friends. I have an album out on Spotify and all streaming platforms called Oceanside of Someday, and a second album and collaboration in the works. I am a core member of the Friendswood Friends Church worship band for which I play guitar and bass.

I am musically inspired by prog-folk titans such as Justin Vernon and Sufjan Stevens; country folk legends such as Townes Van Zandt and Johnny Cash; song-writing heroes like Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Cat Stevens (Or Yusuf). I enjoy contemporary artists like Julien Baker,

Khruangbin, Kurt Elling, and Polypha. I also Like Childish Gambino, Kid Cudi, and Kanye West. My old favorites are Coheed and Cambria, Dream Theater, and Manchester Orchestra. Like a lot of folks born in the 90s, I grew up listening to post-punk bands like Green Day, Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, The Used, and My Chemical Romance. And there were the NuMetal groups such as KoRn, Slipknot, Linkin Park, Mudvayne, and Disturbed. My guilty pleasures include Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande.

I've been teaching guitar for years now, and I've been playing since I was 12. It has been a constant source of joy throughout my life. The guitar is an instrument that will challenge your discipline, mind, and strength; students that are persistent will be rewarded with a life-long skill and friend in the instrument. I am humbled by the positive feedback I have received as a teacher; I am very proud to say I was a Student Favorite on TakeLessons for 2 years running before I went on hiatus. Now that I'm back, I'm eager to earn that title once again.
I have students of all ages from all walks of life, from toddlers to CEOs, and I can teach you too. No matter your level of expertise with the guitar, I work very hard so my students might come away from each lesson having learned something. Around 60% of my students have been beginners, 20% having prior experience, and 10% having many years of experience.

I firmly believe that anybody can play the guitar if they set their mind to it. Heard the name Django Reindhart? The man was a legend. He had 3 fingers on his left hand and is remembered as one of the greatest guitarists of all time. It comes down to practice, the will to learn and improve, and consistency, and above all the love of music. My curriculum is designed to reinforce these values.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm always happy to help.

If you're looking for a challenge, developing a skill with lifelong payoff, and are ready to begin your musical journey, pick up where you left off, or need some coaching in the right direction, then let's begin. You book the time, and I'll take it from there.

I'm looking forward to meeting you.

Bgcheck Background Checked

About Clayton

I am currently a church organist and have over 20 years of experience in teaching children and adults piano and organ lessons. My methods are traditional and contemporary. I received my Bachelors of Music Degree from Marygrove College located in Detroit, MI, and also an Associate Degree in Music Composition from Oakland Community College located in Farmington, MI. My music concentration is classical, gospel, R&B, and jazz. I love all genres of music and enjoy teaching them. I also teach electronic music through software for those interested in learning about music workstations or DAW (Digital Analog Workstations). I also specialize in teaching by ear training if you want to get away from the traditional method of learning to play by music notation. My method of teaching to play music by ear is unique and comes from over 20 years of

personal experiences with teaching individual students who wanted to get the ball rolling apart from learning in a traditional manner.

About Mikke

My musical journey has led me to play with so many amazing musicians and incredible bands over the years. You may find a list of recordings that I’ve played on under my discography at Better Beats Music. There’s also a selection of videos of live shows and prerecorded music videos, all of which include me on drums. Playing international festivals and tours on the big stage has been a dream come true, but teaching has also been an equally important part of my musical journey. My teaching practice helps me continue to be a better drummer and musician. More than that, I just love witnessing my students build confidence and gain a wider musical, rhythmic vocabulary, developing better skills playing the drums. I want to help my students find their musical voice by consistently working on musical goals, whether playing simple exercises, sophist

icated arrangements and everything in between.

One interesting benefit worth noting is recent scientific studies have shown that drumming reduces anxiety and stress. Now that’s therapy we all need! Rhythm is woven with in all aspects of life. Nature is full of seasonal cycles and macro/micro-rhythms. The art of drumming is an ancient practice with a fascinating history that has evolved over the ages. Drumming is also a primal expression we can all relate with. Everyone is a drummer in the dance of life. Consider the life pulsing rhythm of a heart beat or the rhythmic rise and fall of the chest from the respiratory cycle. Even while resting the lungs and heart continue to breathe and pump to a syncopated rhythm through the night. Rhythm is life.

Daniel E.

Bgcheck Background Checked

About Daniel

Daniel Ely is a musician, performer, producer and songwriter living in Nashville, TN.

About me: Growing up, I had a natural love for music. From church choirs to almost a decade of classical piano lessons, I was blessed with a host of opportunities to grow as a young musician.

In high school, I started songwriting and playing pop music, discovering a deeper love for music as an expressive craft. By the time I graduated high school, I knew I wanted to grow as a producer, songwriter and performer. These desires led me to the College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, where I studied music composition, production, and jazz piano. It was during these years I started teaching piano, and I found that I loved helping students grow as artists, as well as people!

Now I am continuing to write music, and give whatever instr

uction I can to my students. The world is a better place with more people in touch with the arts, I hope to continue to foster a love for music in my students for the rest of my life.

"Elise is an incredible teacher, with real attention to detail and experience working with many different levels. She is patient, kind, and comfortable to

"We enjoyed working with Sara. My son’s first lesson went great. He was nervous but she put him at ease. Looking forward to more lessons."
"Regina has been very patient teaching my 6 year old daughter. She is sure to take the time to answer all of her questions."
"Great teacher. I have zero music experience & his style of teaching allows me to learn without getting overwhelmed. Highly recommend Zachary."
"Excellent; exaclty what I needed! Thanks Rina

I am an older adult who had always wanted to play some of the popular and older songs for family and friend
s. I had tried to teach myself but had only limited success and very slow progress. As much as I tried to understand the theory behind playing piano I continued to get frustrated. I decided to look for someone who would understand my objectives and be patient enough to help me actually be able to play piano. Rina was perfect. She understood what I was looking for, was excellent in mixing piano theory with playing, and presented a very comfortable learning environment. She also was patient with my ability to learn and never made me feel uncomfortable in our practice sessions. What a difference having a great piano teacher makes in learning a skill like playing piano. Highly recommended and was exactly what I wanted in a music instructor. I plan to continue my piano lessons with Rina; she has made me realize I can do this!"
"Tanisha is a wonderful teacher & I recommend her for anyone who wants to inhance their vocal abilities!

Since I've started my singing lessons with Tanish
a I've become vocally stronger and more confident in wanting to pursue singing as a career. She's a great teacher and very gifted at what she does!"
"Melody is a wonderful piano teacher. She taught my daughter for 2 months before she moved. My daughter learned several pieces of music which she performed
at the recital. It was her first recital and she was nervous but Melody encouraged her and gave her the confidence to perform!"
"Excellent start and a hugely enjoyable experience. Really gave me confidence to keep going and get back into singing!"

Do You Have The Right Strings On Your Guitar?

By Suzy S.

Each year the CMT honors country music stars at their Artists of the Year celebration - 2011's honorees included Brad Paisley, Jason Aldean and Kenny Chesney.  Before they were stars, however, they had to work up their guitar skills from the very beginning. Of course, if you'd like to be the next musician in line for country stardom, you'll need to keep your guitar at your side.  Ideally, you should have already found the perfect guitar (or even better, maybe one of these.)
