I had the great fortune to be in the original cast of SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK LIVE! on Broadway as well as many other Off Broadway musicals such as the It Girl. Here in Dallas I perform in plays and musicals on a regular basis and I love it!! What gets me excited now is teaching kids, teens and people of all ages to sing or play the piano! I teach in several schools to groups of children and I just love teaching privately!

Though this is only the first piano teacher we've ever worked with, Melissa has set a very high bar. Her passion for music really shines through during her lessons. She adapts her lesson plans to my 7 year old daughter and moving at a pace that keeps her engaged. She even helps her learn some songs outside the lessons that my daughter started learning on her own! If there are any scheduling conflicts, she keeps the line of communication open and we are always able to figure it out together. We couldn't be happier. If you read through her positive reviews...they're all true! It's only been a month, but we look forward to having her around for a long time.

We love her passion for music and teaching. She came well prepare. Melissa started my daughter off on a lesson that was fun and challenging. We are excited for the next one!
Gabriel is a fiery and passionate vocal instructor proficient in the fields of acting, singing and vocal development. A professional singer, actor and teacher with a BFA in Theater Arts.
Gabriel doesn't just possess a formal college education, but more importantly a real world education based on his experiences on the stage, on the road and in the studio. His approach is direct, simple and to the core, getting straight to the heart of the matter: developing the voice from the inside out by breaking things down to the essentials.
An expert at creating vocal warm-ups, vocal exercises, and vocal cool-downs, he is also deeply passionate about psychology, he is your guy for learning to keep your voice and mindset in tip-top shape. Beyond improving technique, Gabriel can help you cultivate a healthy attitude and help you to survive and t
hrive in a career in the world of the performing arts.
With a kind and compassionate, yet stern and honest tone, Gabriel will work with you to develop the focus and dedication necessary to get your voice beyond what you even knew possible.
*** Lesson Details *** Regardless of the genre you sing, developing your voice with Gabriel's help will improve your tone, range, power and overall ability. You can expect to become a much better singer without losing any of your personal and unique traits.
His approach isn't overly technical or mysterious. It's about re-learning the facts about how the voice functions best and the application of this updated knowledge.
Expect to clear away many confusions about how the voice works thus taking away the guesswork from the vocal development process.
If you want to improve your voice quickly, being guided by someone who understands how it all works and by someone who was where you are today and is now closer to where you want to be in the future is the best way to go. Gabriel is that guy!
Gabriel's approach is quite simple, yet very effective at developing the entire voice.
"There are two basic levels that every singer must address. The first one is addressing the condition of the body and voice and the second one is addressing the functioning of the voice and body."
I - Silent Foundation
The silent foundation refers to the condition of your instrument as it is silent. If we are looking at the body as an instrument that sings, we first have to make sure that our instrument is in good condition. How healthy is your instrument? Is it well rested, well hydrated and loose? Or is it tired, dehydrated and tense? As you could guess, the condition of your instrument will have a significant impact on the quality of the sounds you make. So the first thing to be addressed is how your instrument is before it starts making sound.
II - Conditioning of Singing Behaviors
This is when we get busy. Once we have a well rested, healthy, hydrated and relaxed instrument we can start working it out. The goal is to condition our singing behaviors to be reflexive, reliable and strong. The way to do this is through a series of vocal exercises that will condition your voice to respond to the desires of your heart. Whatever it is that you want to express will be possible once your instrument is conditioned to the point where there is no gap between what you want to express and your ability to do so. Learning to sing is all about learning how to express yourself without barriers. You should be able to develop enough range, power, control and skill so that you can express your heart without feeling like you're incapable of achieving what you pursue. To achieve these abilities training is often necessary.

About Improv: Improv is a form of theater where everything is made up on the spot. Nothing is scripted, everything is made up in the moment using random suggestions. Improv allows every person & idea to have value. I use the principles of improvisational theater to create better humans! I'm committed to creating an environment safe to make mistakes and providing a very safe and courageous place for people to have fun, learn and play in. You’ll be happily surprised with the outcome.
About Christine: I have been improvising since 2001 and in 2003 began directing students from ages 5 to 84. My passion is to share the incredible art form of improv with excitement and humor.
Improv is a great learning tool for team building, spontaneity, listening, being present, speaking to groups, communicating one on one, saying yes, respecting one
another and so much more. It helps that each game played builds upon the next to reinforce the learning.
What you get: One-on-One - 45 min - 1 hour of discussion / rehearsal with Christine - working on improv performance skills or personal communication skills. At the end of the session, you will be armed with new tools.
Improv Troupe Notes - 1 hour - for improv troupes needing an outside eye for notes, direction and ideas for marketing your troupe. At the end of the session, you will have new games and ideas to move your troupe forward.
Custom Course - 45min - 1 hour or weekly - Tell me what you would like to improve. Character choices? Initiations? Storyline? You tell me.
Working with Christine has been nothing short of an amazing experience. I have learned so much about the industry and have received so much insight on what it takes to be a great actress/comedian/etc. When I first started out, I had no idea what direction I wanted to take or where to start. Christine was extremely patient and came equipped with a roadmap to getting started. She takes every lesson at the pace that works best for me. She has helped me to set and define clear goals of what I want to accomplish and has made excellent use of our time together. I chose Christine because of previous reviews and she has lived up to every word of what others have said. It's been a blast and I plan to continue developing my skill set with her help!

Christine is the BEST!
As a beginner improver, I am so lucky I found Christine! She has taught me so many valuable tools that have improved my scene work and my decision making. In addition, she always addresses my specific issues during each lesson and even emails me with advice and fun GIFS! (no, not "gifts", but graphic interchange formats! :D Every class is fun and lighthearted and I look forward to it each week.
My lessons are virtual, but she is still very effective at participating in scenes and even encouraged my fellow classmate to join me during our lessons. We can't say enough great things about each class!!
In all my work, I achieve high-quality results by striving for perfection, but remaining light-hearted and flexible. My flexibility allows each unique student to find their niche, and my light-heartedness makes learning fun! I give students many opportunities to share their unique progress; recently, some of my students performed in my Master’s degree lecture-recital, which included all original compositions.
Fun and flexibility are important, but so are credentials. I received a master’s degree in piano performance pedagogy at Arizona State University (ASU), and a bachelor’s degree in piano performance and music education from the Crane School of Music at State University of New York Potsdam. Apart from degrees, in the past ten years alone, I have taught private lessons, piano masterclasses, ASU group piano classes, ASU Prep Program s
tudents, K-12 music ensembles, a collegiate jazz choir, college vocal students, and more. Currently, I work for the internationally renowned Faber Piano Adventures, arranging pop hits for the PreTime to BigTime Hits books.
As a member of Arizona State Music Teachers Association (ASMTA) and Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), I can offer students performance and competition opportunities, and I can participate in professional development activities. At organization conferences, I present frequently on music technology and innovative teaching. Recently, at the 2018 Collegiate Piano Pedagogy Symposium, I placed in a “best idea” competition, and the organization invited me to repeat another presentation at the 2018 MTNA National Conference. Currently, I serve as the ASMTA Honors Recital Chair, organizing a competition which occurs during the ASMTA state conference.
As a musician, I am forever learning to be a “jack of all trades.” In my performances, I perform difficult classical piano works, sing Billboard Top 100 pop songs, feature guest student performances, and perform original compositions. Separately, I have placed in classical competitions, produced a Pop Song album for iTunes, played and sang with a variety of bands, and composed piano pieces for students of all levels.
If you are looking for a unique, quality education, then look no further! I'm very excited to begin a musical journey with you.
Chris is a great teacher, who not only teaches the technical and literary skills needed, but also focuses on artistry and expression. He really connected well with my 11-year-old son, and challenged him to be his best.

Christopher is wonderful at adapting to each of our childrens' personalities and being patient and kind with them, while encouraging them with an expectation of success and appropriate practice. He helps our children love music.

My son, Jack who is now 11 has been taking piano lessons since he was 3, but was starting to plateau in his learning. About a year ago we switched instructors, and Chris has made a world of difference. Chris' lessons are challenging and fun. Even I can hear how much Jack has grown as a piano player since we made the switch. Chris is personable, professional and great with kids. I also love the fact that he holds recitals, which gives the kids a chance to showcase their hard work and talents. I highly recommend him for this age group. Also, you should hear him play the songs he composes himself! Very talented individual.

Hi! This is Serena. I have two bachelor degrees in filmmaking and media studies and history from the University of Minnesota. I have been working in digital filmmaking and live studio recording professionally for over 4 years. As of my second history major, my focused area of study is in Europe and I've done multiple research studies in the Middle East. I scored 5 on AP World History, AP European History, and 4 in AP American History. I will make history such an interesting subject for you to learn!
I have been learning Dutch at the University of Minnesota for 4 years and have a Dutch minor degree. I'm also certified in Dutch proficiency through the Department of German, Scandinavian, and Dutch at the University of Minnesota. I've lived in Amsterdam from 2017-2018. I know how to efficiently and systematically teach the Dutch la
nguage based on my own experience.
Ballet has been my passion for almost 18 years. I started when I was 3 (now I'm 22), and I only love ballet more and more each day. I was trained in the Vaganova style of ballet (Russian) until I was 14 in Minnesota. When I moved to Ohio for high school, the dance school in my area taught in the Balanchine style of American ballet. When I returned to Minnesota for college in 2015, I started dancing at the Minnesota Dance Theater. I recently moved to Florida and run my own home dance studio.
Serena was a wonderful instructor/tutor to my 12yr old son. He was able to absorb the material easily and retain the lessons learned in order to improve his performance at school. I would definitely recommend Serena if you are serious about learning a specific subject you or your children may be lacking in.

Amazing instructor, learned to dance properly with beautiful grace. Definitely worth the time and money, I’m very happy with my instructor, Serena made it a great experience
Originally from North Carolina, I moved to NYC in 2011 to pursue a career in the arts. I was trained by Broadway actor Hal Davis and several local (but brilliant) directors and performers from the North Carolina area. I have worked in every department of the theatre and several departments in the film and tv world. I’ve been a Broadway stagehand and a professional actor, I’ve directed short films and even taught my colleges improv program while still an undergrad student. For 17 years my life has been centered around the performing arts. 3 years of musical theatre training, multiple years of film and video training, improv training that has led to over 200 paid performances, and a number of niche performing arts training (including professional wrestling training) led to me to a point where I felt comfortable enough in my knowledge o
f what I had learned to begin to sharing and educating other, less experienced people. I spent the last 3 years giving private lessons that has seen significant growth from those I’ve tutored. I love the intellectual complexities of our business as much as I love the sheer fun of pretending and living a few moments as if I’m someone else. I specialize in character acting, the type where you walk, talk, and react different then your core self. I also find it very important to stay in touch with your own personal humanity in the process of pretending to be others. You’re a wonderful person and it would be a shame to lose you and the things that make you special to fiction.
Together we can master this complicated craft and make you a director’s best friend!
"Great first class! High energy, friendly instructor with attention to detail. I fully expect to see lots of growth in my daughter's dancing with Brianna

"Stephen is the best! He was able to turn sides I had for a short four line audition for an episodic into a taped audition that booked me the job. I try
to book him for every important audition I have."
"First session was basically a meet and greet, and I must say, she's got a pretty awesome personality as well as a very open and free flow vibe."
"She is the best"
"I sought Randy's advice for sounding like/being a more confident speaker. Within the first lesson he gave me excellent, concrete tips that I could try an
d that had visible results even in my every-day conversations. I was wary at first of online lessons, but I am so glad I gave it a shot. Highly recommend!"
"I am a professional speaker and I decided to pursue some speaker voice coaching. This was my first lesson and Vanessa was friendly and great personality.
I felt comfortable with her immediately. She provided education, demonstration, observed me apply the techniques, and offered constructive feedback. After the class, I was excited to practice what I learned. I will definitely continue to go back to Vanessa. I highly recommend her."
"Such fun! This was my fifth lesson with Andrew. I have learned soooo much. I appreciate how he not only breaks down the physical movements but also bre
aks down the music and instruments so I better understand how it all comes together! These lessons are worth every penny!"
Being in the entertainment industry is not much different from being in the sports world. In addition to some natural talent and interest, a huge overlap with both industries is the time spent honing your craft. Of course regular practice is a necessary evil, but come race or audition day, our minds and bodies still need to be prepared for what’s about to happen. Just as we see athletes spending time stretching and warming up before a performance, it’s mandatory that actors warm up before …
