I am using a different approach with every student of mine based of their level and unique strengths. My goal is to motivate and inspire my students so they can achieve the highest level desired. I play with each student at every lesson and use many of the finest trumpet method books such as: Arban, Clarke, Stamp, Schlossberg, Cichowicz.etc.. As a result my students are winning Palm Beach- All County Honor Band, Florida- All State Honor Band as well as going to semi-finals and finals on National Trumpet Competition.

Hello and welcome to my studio!
In my studio, all trumpet players feel welcomed and I will do my best to keep you/your child happy and having fun while taking lessons.
Your first lesson begins with breathing exercises as we need air to play trumpet. Proper posture, embouchure for playing, and making a nice sound will come next. I have several method books depending on your trumpet experience, but if you already have a book we can use yours. We will also work on the more detailed aspects of trumpet playing such as articulations and range (yay high notes!), while learning new songs!
If you are already a more advanced student, we will work on music that pushes you to a higher level (Clarke, Arbans, Real Book etc.). I will also give you more detailed and advanced concepts to remove excess tension, play more musically instead of robotically, and overall make playing feel much easier.
I'm glad you have decided to take trumpet lessons and look forward to helping you make great music! ...

I believe that it is very important to have a good musical foundation in addition to playing the trumpet. We will go over aspects of music theory such as scales and key signatures. We will go over the fundamentals of playing trumpet and use exercises from various different method books. We will also go in depth into any styles that you are interested in. I will ask you to listen to recordings of great trumpet players so you can model their sound. Lessons will be rewarding and fun!

I am a professional trumpet player and an experienced brass teacher. I moved to the UK in 2014 and have been working with orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, and have also performed as a soloist with the New Mozart Ensemble and the Verbier Chamber Orchestra in Switzerland. I graduated from the Juilliard School in New York in 2012 and spent one year with a contract with the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra as assistant principal trumpet. I have also been a member of the Verbier Festival and Chamber Orchestras since 2012, touring with them all over Europe and Asia. As a teacher, my experiences have been diverse. I was the trumpet coach of the pre-college program at the Juilliard School during my time as a postgraduate student and have taught at workshops in Rio de Janeiro. I am currently the brass teacher at St George’s Ascot, a brass tutor for both Lambeth and Sutton music services, a brass coach for the Chineke Orchestra, and the sabbatical cover ...

Have you hit a roadblock in your trumpet playing? Is your child not seeing progress from playing in their school band? Need help with your All-State audition? Picking up a hobby for the quarantine? Look no further!
My approach to the trumpet is one that starts with the sound of the music playing in my head. Once I can get you to hear beautiful trumpet sounds playing in your own head, you will find that playing the trumpet is as easy as blowing spit wads through a straw!
My students get a weekly dose of fundamentals that include long tones, flexibility, and articulation. Once those are in place, we can apply those skills learned to a musical etude. You can expect to cover as much material (or as little) as you want in a given week; I will pace your lessons according to your ability level and desire. But with the right amount of deliberate practice, I can help you become a truly great trumpeter.
Let's get this fired up!
