I have been tutoring geomertry for over 5 years. During that time, I have helped students achieve the results that they were looking for. One student in particular was attending a private school wanted me to help him get ready for his test in geometry. I talked with his fatther and we arranged lessons at a library. During that time, we went over the concepts and practiced until he understood them. When it was time for him to take the final, he passed it and ultimately passed the class. Awesome tutor! Breaks down concepts to make it easily digestible and works with your schedule. He gives you great tips that you can't learn from a book. He is very laid back and that helps with the crazy chaos of MCAT studying. Overall, well rounded in the subjects of the MCAT and would work with him again in the future if I needed. Aalok Shah's in depth knowledge of admission testing, coupled with his easy demeanor, made all the difference for our son as he prepped for the college process. In addition to advising our son on the proper material to study, Aalok taught him to strategically tackle each section and manage his question answering time accordingly. He set up realistic weekly goals for our son to meet as well as providing many study guides and materials for his reference. We found Aalok’s advice on college planning extremely useful and he was always readily available to answer any questions that we had. I can't say enough about Aalok. His wealth of tutoring experience is certainly a major advantage, however his dedication and work ethic was what impressed us the most. What started out as just a few tutoring sessions for physics evolved into a wonderful relationship, guiding my son through his SATs and ACTs. Unlike many tutors' rigid availability schedules, Aalok went out of his way to work with my son's demanding high school schedule.
