About Sabrina
I've been banging on the piano since I was 3, but piano became more structured when I turned 7 and I've loved piano so much since then! I've been classically trained in the US and then later in Italy so all together I have 17 years piano playing experience. My favorite genre is Modern Japanese Classical music (fancy name for anime and video game music). While studying abroad with my Maestro in Italy however, I was only allowed to play classical music so I became even more proficient in that musical genre.
I have been teaching Children and Adult students for 7 years. People aren't' intimidated when I'm around and I believe students benefit greatly when they are comfortable with the teacher and can feel natural around them. The teaching process is most successful when the students share their ideas, disagreements, goals; when th
ey are challenged and test their abilities.
***Lesson Details***
I am very laid back and love to laugh, but I do expect the students to be prepared and practice, this way they benefit the most from each teaching session. I believe students should be involved in their curriculum, so I encourage all to bring in pieces THEY WANT to play because this will make the learning process overall more fun and enjoyable. My trust is, if you practice regularly you can accomplish much in a short period of time. Whatever you put into learning piano, is what you will get out, whether great or small.
***Specialties***
- Modern Japanese Classical : Yoko Shimamura, Nobuo Uematsu ...
(Video Game and Anime)
- Classical : Joplin, Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff ...
- Italian Technique Training

When music is done right,it transcends language and words. That is one of my favorite quotes. Being able to express yourself through singing is like a religious experience if done right.

My passion for music goes beyond the technical aspect, but rather the personal experience, and the personal connection. It is like taking listeners on a journey without visuals but just a melody. That is what I try to instill in my students.

I have a background in opera and gospel singing. I have a degree in music. I also taught children's choir at a public school as well at a church. I am currently the music director of my church, leading the musicians and praise team.

My goal is to teach students how to maintain and strengthen their voices metaphorically and physically. I have a set lesson plan for students that are offered weekly to studen
ts that will help with pitch, rhythm and breathing.

Along with the weekly lessons, I teach basic music theory as well as some music history to students. Students will learn songs from a set list of songs and will work on their own songs.

I've been with Monika over a year now. I've learned so much from her. She is an awesome teacher. Very patient and caring and is always building her knowledge and passing it on. She makes you feel so comfortable. I've always been afraid of singing in public but with her guidance and confidence building I was able to get up on a stage not once but twice and look forward to the next time. You can't go wrong with Monika as your coach. I would recommend her to anyone.

About Ha-eun
I have been surrounded by music my whole life and have played violin for 19 years. I went to high school at the Interlochen Arts Academy, obtained a BM in violin performance at Oberlin Conservatory and an MM at the Boston Conservatory. I have won competitions, played in professional orchestras, performed with college faculty, soloed with orchestras, and won the Jack Kent Cooke Young Artists Award.

I have completed a pedagogy course in college and at the graduate level. I have taught children, teens, and adults alike. I had the fortune of studying with wonderful teachers and strive to be like them and pass on their wisdom.

I am passionate about teaching out of a desire to help people express themselves and appreciate music on a deeper level. I am very enthusiastic and adapt my approach to each student's level, personality, and needs
while seeking to build a good rapport. I make creative analogies to keep them engaged. I am positive while critiquing because I believe negativity is counterintuitive to effective learning. I have experience working with elementary school kids, having spent three years employed at a Boys and Girls Club.

Just as I believe in culturing love of music in children, I truly enjoy working with older and more experienced students. I am very eager to help them develop their musicality and good technique. I have an extensive repertoire list and thus am able to aid students in learning challenging music such as show pieces and concertos.

I predominantly teach classical music but have helped students in other music activities. With older and more advanced students I am willing to teach music of their own choosing. I have also helped a student prepare for college auditions.

On practical matters, I require 24 hours advance notice before rescheduling or canceling a lesson, barring emergencies. If a student is late by over 1/3 of the lesson time (leaving less than 20 minutes for 30 minute lessons, 30 minutes for 45 minute lessons) I will count it as missed and the lesson will be forfeit. I inform students 24 hours in advance for scheduling changes and always do makeup lessons if I am sick on a scheduled lesson day.

I really look forward to meeting new students and to inspire them to be at their best!

Ha-eun is fantastic! She is helping our 10 year-old daughter master a new piece she needs to learn within the next 2 weeks. Can't praise her enough! We do in person as well as internet lessons. During the lesson, Ha-eun is focused on the student and her passion for music and fondness of teaching others truly shows. Listening to her playing the violin to show how it should be done is a delight. We consider ourselves lucky to have such a great teacher.

I offer songwriting, singing and piano lessons, as well as writing and composition. My first rule is that there isn't any! Each student is unique and different, and my goal is to teach in a way that's fun and interesting and keeps people engaged.

I teach all ages, young and old, novice to experienced, and take great joy in meeting new people and getting to know them and helping them learn.

Coaching can take place at your home or we can sit outside in my apartment by the pool, we can even go to a park and sit in the sunshine! I'm really flexible and want this to work for you at your own pace to help you reach your own goals.

I received one of the highest marks ever in the country for Grade 8 pia
no when I was 14 years old and I haven't looked back! I've performed all over the world as a singer, and have always incorporated my piano as much as I can. I have had a joint number one in the UK, as well as other singles in the charts and have done arena tours throughout the UK and Europe. I have masses of performance experience and a lot of industry contacts as well.

Get in touch and we'll go from there! I'm excited to meet you and chat about what you want to achieve.

About Clarissa
Hey there! I'm passionate about the arts and I think you'll really enjoy taking lessons! I have over 17 years of performing experience and 5 years of teaching experience. As a spunky three-year-old, I would sing and dance to my dad's piano accompaniment at home. In my childhood, I would perform with my family at church functions. I had my first solo in a choir concert at school when I was 12. And since then, I have continued to perform solos at various athletic events, graduations, restaurants, and in competitions. I enjoy songwriting and recording covers of songs from a variety of music genres—including Pop, Christian, Adult Contemporary, R&B, Jazz, and Country.

Some of the neat opportunities I have had as a performer include: winning the top 10 in a national vocal competition in 2015, where I was featured as a soloist on artist Jenn
y Phillips’ studio album; winning 2nd place at the American Idol Experience competition at Disney World in 2014; playing “Eve” in the musical Children of Eden, at BYU-Idaho in 2010, and "Sister Mary Robert" in the musical Sister Act, through community theatre in Montana in 2018. I had a callback film audition two years ago for the role of "Beth," in an adaptation of Little Women, but instead had the fun experience of being an extra, as well as playing the lead actress's double. I submitted my original song, "Believe," written for the movie, in a competition the movie producers held--and made the top 10. Also, in 2012, I was able to be an extra in a music video starring Alex Boyé and Carmen Rassmussen--and in 2017, I was a musical theatre judge for a high school regional drama competition in Utah.

I'm currently in my fourth year of teaching music part-time at a K-8th grade school in Montana, which involves directing the Christmas musicals each year.

As a teacher, I will tailor my lessons around you, at your own pace, and will do my best to meet your individual needs as a student and performer. I am loving, creative, and meticulous--and great with children! We're going to have so much fun and I look forward to sharing my knowledge and passion for the arts with you!

I believe that music is for everybody, not just professionals. My many years of teaching beginners, teenagers, and adults of all levels, beginner, intermediate, and advanced, has shown me that, with practice and time, virtually everyone can attain a high level at the keyboard and play the piano and the incredible music written for it from the inside, not just from the outside looking in. If this challenge sounds like fun, I would be happy to help you (or your child) on that musical journey.

About Max
Hi, my name is Max. I have been teaching for over 15 years, teaching a range of instruments from saxophone, clarinet, and flute, to jazz piano. I also teach music theory, ear training, song-writing, and electronic music production. I teach students of all ages and skill-levels and hold a Masters degree in jazz saxophone performance from Manhattan School of Music, where I am currently on faculty to teach Music Theory and Eartraining at the Precollege Division. I also direct the jazz band at Gill St. Bernard’s School in New Jersey.

I love helping students achieve their goals, and I think learning music should be something fun and enjoyable. I also believe every student learns in a different way and at a different pace. With this in mind, I tailor my lessons towards each individual student and help them set achievable goals, making sure
they are having fun in the process.

Besides playing and teaching the saxophone, I also teach the clarinet, and flute, as well as music theory and electronic music production with Ableton Live. From my wide experience as a performing musician I can teach in a variety of genres, including jazz, classical, pop, and World Music.

I have been fortunate to have taught students all over the world, including Singapore, Africa, and the UK, many times performing along the way. I have led my own band for many years, with performances around the world, and with which I have recorded numerous albums, which can be found on Spotify and iTunes.

When I am not playing or teaching music I love to hang out with friends, be outdoors, and travel to places I have never been before.

I look forward to meeting you and helping you realize your goals in music.

Max is a fantastic teacher! As a parent I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a very experienced, kind, and fun teacher. Max is all of these things plus more. What I really like about him, besides that he is very knowledgable and amazingly talented, is that he always has a positive attitude! Lila loves to go to her lessons and she learned so much during her time with Max.

Motivation to practice is the key. Working with the parents, I like to make the lesson fun for the student, while getting the student to work hard and to keep them focused on success. Both current and former students and their parents are eager to provide references.
I've taught all ages; in music stores, online, in private homes and my home. Focusing on technique and theory, I also provide historical context for modern music, and help the student to discover our wonderful culture.

About Codi
Hello! My name is Codi, I play cello and viola, and I compose. I attended Stephen F. Austin State University for four years and graduated with a bachelor's degree in music. I've been playing cello since I was eleven, and I picked up the viola in the last two years. I decided to major in music because, when it came time to graduate high school, I couldn't bare the thought of a life focused on anything but music!

I started composing in 2017. I've written several pieces for solo instrument, solo instrument and piano, and string ensemble. I love to write music, specifically for cello ensemble. Four of these pieces have been performed by faculty and students at SFASU. I would love to see my students gain interest in composing, even write and perform their own music.

When it comes to learning an instrument, I strongly believe in letting stu
dents tell me what they want. If there is a certain style of music you like, we can play that. Interested in music theory? We can discuss how we build and examine music in order to understand it in a deeper way. If you don't know what you like yet, then we can search for it. I want my students to always be excited to come to lessons and eager to go home and practice afterwards.

At the end of the day, it's all about what you, the student, want to learn. Please feel free to contact me and see if we would be a good fit. I look forward to working with you! :-)
