I majored in Spanish at UC Davis, lived in Mexico for 3 years where I completed a Master's degree in Counseling, studied Spanish Literature and Psychology at the University of Costa Rica for 7 months and have traveled around a few other Latin American Countries.

I can do conversation classes and academic ones too. I have a lot of material and activities to facilitate fun learning. My command of the language is almost native. I prefer to work with those who really want to learn, just so we both use our time wisely. About Jason N.
¡Hola! ¡Bienvenido! Hello and Welcome!

my name's Jason and I love Spanish and Latin America.

I'm currently a doctoral student. I majored in Spanish at University of California, Davis, lived in Mexico for 3 years where I completed a Master's degree in Counseling, studied Spanish Literature and Psychology at the University of Costa Rica for 7 months and have traveled around a few other Latin American Countries.

My goal is to tailor the lessons to what best helps you learn. I can do conversation classes and academic ones too. I have a lot of material and activities to facilitate fun learning. My command of the language is almost native. I prefer to work with those who really want to learn, just so we both use our time wisely. I work best with those who already have a base in Spanish but want to prefect their knowledge of proverbs
, sayings, jokes, cultural aspects of Spanish, grammar, vocabulary, conjugation, listening and overall language skills. That said, I can work with anyone at any level of Spanish, and have experiences with students from ages 5 to 67.

Jason inspired me to have a break-through with my Spanish. As a nurse with many Hispanic patients, after only 3 classes with Jason, I successfully triage'd a patient using almost all Spanish. I was pretty stoked about the whole thing. It was a really good confidence boost to not only use it and be understood by the lady, but I understood her too. Not every little word, mind you, but I was able to pick out a lot of the context and figure out what was going on. Working with Jason makes me feel like I'm opening up a whole new avenue in my practice, even after 15 years of repetition. I have Jason to thank for this and it's just boosted me towards learning more.

Jason is a quality Spanish teacher. Not only does he have a native command of the language (as verified by my Latino co-worker), but Jason is also a skilled language instructor. Two attributes of Jason that I particularly value are his attention to detail and the way he highlights language patterns to facilitate learning. It is evident that Jason has a huge passion for teaching Spanish.

I am a mother of two awesome boys. I am married, my first language is Spanish and my kids speak, read and write Spanish. I love to teach specially this great language. Learning Spanish is going to give you confidence and great opportunities to get a job. Spanish is 100% phonetic. Words are pronounced exactly as they are written. It is fun and it's not difficult to learn.

If you are not satisfied with the class, I will offer you a makeup class, because it is very important for me that you feel happy.
I am able to go to your convenience place for you to receive the class.

Thank you for reading my profile. It would be a pleasure to help you learn Spanish. I look forward from you.

About Claudia
I got my bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics in my country Colombia. Since 2006, I have been teaching. I love to be a teacher and I love Spanish. I would like to help others to learn it in an easy way and at the same time enjoy the class. I am very proud of my students specially because they want to communicate with hispanic people and they want to understand the language.
I have a lot of patience with everybody, so take your time and don’t be afraid to ask questions. As a teacher I am very passionate with my work which means I am taking this very seriously. My goal is that my students will be able to speak the language well. Many students initially come to me because they want to learn conversational Spanish so they can more easily travel in Latin America or Spain. Often times, however; they end up falling in love with the lang
uage and continuing their studies.
Most of my students have learned how to read Spanish in a month and most of my students have been able to have basic conversations in three months. . It also depends on the student’s dedication to learn Spanish. I will do my best for my part and the rest is you.

I have been taking lessons from Claudia for almost four months and my experience with her has been outstanding. Claudia is an excellent teacher who takes her student's goals and truly makes them her own. When I told her that my goal was to learn Spanish to a conversational level, she described to me what I would need to do in order to obtain that goal.

Here's what I think makes Claudia unique:

* Carefully planned out teaching method. She has a carefully planned out method for teaching Spanish and uses quality materials. She has garnered the best materials and supplemented them with her own. She teaches Spanish in a logical sequence where each step includes material from the previous ones. This has helped me to reinforce the concepts I learned earlier.

* My lessons with her include a mix of grammar, speaking, and listening. It's much easier for me to understand written Spanish than to understand the spoken word or to speak it myself. Claudia makes a point in each lesson to practice speaking and listening to help with this. This has probably been the biggest help to me so far.

* She provides homework customized to my level so I can practice between sessions. Sometimes the homework is an audio recording that she has recorded herself especially for me. The fact that she does this shows how much she cares about her student's success.

* Her patience. She has to be the most patient person I've ever met. Sometimes it takes a while to get a concept or to understand, but she is always happy to repeat herself or slow down. There have been more than a few sessions where she has done this a lot!

* Her encouragement. Learning a new language can be frustrating at times but Claudia is always encouraging and celebrates even the smallest progress.

It seems like there are a lot of Spanish teachers out there who know how to speak Spanish, but I think there are very few who really know how to teach it. Obviously Claudia is a native speaker of Spanish, but she is also an expert teacher. I feel fortunate to have found her and have referred other students to her. I can't recommend her highly enough!

I am a native Spanish speaker who was born and raised in Mexico. I have been teaching Spanish in schools and language centers for the past 5 years.

You will have the full Spanish language immersion experience in my classes. I will use Spanish to explain grammar and vocabulary instead of English or translation. This way, you get more experience interacting in the language and progress at a faster rate. I also use online tools, like images and the materials, in order to facillitate understanding as much as possible.

My classes are conversational and all levels are welcome. Depending on the level and needs of the student, we will follow a curriculum program so that you are learning new vocabulary and grammar each class, and progressing in the language. And as a native speaker, I can provide pronunciation corrections and natural examples of idioms and phrases that are used every day in Spanish-speaking countries.

Students who prefer the challenge of speaking 100% in Spanish or ...

About Carlos
Before we begin classes, I meet with each new student live to discuss goals and materials, answer any questions and explain how online classes work. By identifying a SMART goal, I can create a more effective action plan and choose the best materials to help students reach their goals - all before they have had to pay for a class. Students can see their action plan so they know what we will be working on 1-2 months in advance. This also helps them see progress after each and every class.

My classes are 100% in Spanish to give students the immersion experience. Don´t worry about language barriers - because classes are planned for your level. I use many visuals on the materials to introduce new grammar and vocabulary, as well as corrections and notes throughout the class. Your pronunciation and fluency will improve quicker with my classe
s. In addition, I am a native Mexican Spanish speaker and can provide guidance on sounding more natural, using idioms and other common phrases, and the use of difficult topics like the preterite/imperfect or using the subjunctive.

I have been teaching for over 5 years in language centers and bilingual schools, as well as online with private students. I have a degree from the Universidad Veracruzana in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (Enseñanza de español como lengua extranjera). Currently, my wife and I both teach online and create self-paced courses and Spanish language materials.

To make the online classes as effective as in person ones, we will use Zoom as a videoconferencing software and an online whiteboard to collaborate on the materials together. This allows us to communicate in real time and all of your materials are automatically saved, in order, so they are easily accessible from any computer, smartphone or tablet. You can even take classes on any device if you need to!

Ongoing speaking evaluations are done on a monthly basis and recorded so that students can see their progress over time. Additional assessments are available if requested, as well as DELE exam preparation.

If you have a question or want to meet live to discuss your goals and how I can help, please don´t hesitate to contact me.

I have volunteered at a center for a little over one teaching English to Spanish Speaker. I have also taught a few friends how to speak Spanish. Although I am not a native speaker, many people have said that I sound fluent and they even thought that I was a Native Spanish speaker. I have taught myself Spanish reading books, listening to music, and talking with some of my friends. I enjoy speaking. I accept anyone willing to learn Spanish. I will be teaching vocabulary and grammar. I would call myself a efficient teacher, because I teach at your speed, if you don't understand, I won't leave you confused and unprepared to speak Spanish. I also prefer to keep my teaching alive, even I believe that a boring teacher can be difficult to learn from. Most importantly: don't be afraid to ask questions (I don't judge, I just want you to learn) and don't be afraid to speak (It is important to be brave and speak, don't worry if you might be wrong you're learning. About Lonnie
I am a non-Native Spanish speaker, but I really enjoy speaking Spanish. I have volunteered and taught several people how to speak Spanish and English. I have taken a Spanish Conversation class at University of South Alabama. I have an abundance of material that I use to enhance my own fluency in Spanish. All of the time that I have taught, I have learned to stay with my students. I prefer to teach slowly so that they will understand and learn. My goal is to teach my students to become successful. Honestly, I enjoy teaching. My dream is to become a licensed interpreter and travel to Spain, Mexico, Puerto Rico, etc. I am currently working on my dream by enrolling in University of North Alabama so I may earn a license.
Whatever your goals may be; being an interpreter, traveling, or even teaching as I am now. I encourage you to achieve your
goals. Put your mind to it and you will achieve. I look forward to working with you and helping you achieve your goals. Who knows you might enjoy speaking Spanish as much as I do.

Start speaking Spanish today!

About Luis
My name is Luis Urrego and I was born in Colombia South America. I came to the United States when I was 7 years old and was raised here for most of my life. I am bilingual with my first language being Spanish and my second language English.

I currently work as a Web Designer for the Hall County School District in Gainesville G.A. and have been with them for over 8 years. I have been doing Web Designing for over 20 years though.

I am also a church minister and missionary and have done quite a few and extensive trips to Spanish speaking countries where I have had to both preach, interpret, and translate between English and Spanish. I have also done interpreting work for hospitals and am certified as an health care interpreter for the state of South Carolina.

One of my past time recreations is playing the game of Chess. I love the game
itself for the fun factor, but mainly for the social and behavioral developmental aspects of it. I believe it is a very beneficial game not just for adults, but especially for children to help develop their brain at an early age.

My main goal is to serve others in the best way possible and to see that my students become stronger and are satisfied in the area that I'm teaching them in.
