For the last few years, I have been teaching at schools in the Boston area, as well managing my own private vocal studio. In my lessons, I place an emphasis on teaching healthy vocal technique through contemporary music. Where as many voice instructors rely heavily on Italian art song (which is in my play book), I find jazz standards and well-curated pop and musical theatre to be a more modern and approachable genre for students to explore their own voices. My curriculums have been based much in my student’s interests and tastes, and I shape each individual student’s experience around them. These include: world music, RnB and musical theatre. For example, one of my past students was very interested in Whitney Houston and the “diva” sound, but was having trouble being that they were a tenor. For their development, we focused mainly on healthy belting placements, as well as working through their “break” and connecting their belt to their falsetto.

My teaching philosophy is very much ...

I always look forward to my lessons with Sam! He has so much enthusiasm and patience and it really feels like he cares about my progression. He pushes me to try harder and that has truly helped me to become a better singer. He has amazing knowledge and is able to convey it in a fun, approachable way. Honestly, through my lessons with Sam I have rediscovered my love of singing that I thought I'd lost long ago.

I have been studying Broadway singers for years. I have been a Musical Theatre performer for years and I am still studying singing, acting and dancing. I am still young and know what it feels to want to better yourself everyday, so I can relate to most learning students. I put a lot of importance to vocal training, technique and warm-ups.

About Jennifer

Lehman College, Bachelors of Fine Arts, Graduate! I am a Musical Theatre Performer. I perform all the time and believe that warm-ups are a big importance when it comes to performing. Technique is something I have been studying for a while, and I am consistently learning what new techniques work for

My singing lessons are backed by 45 years experience. My students see results in just one lesson. My kid/people skills have evolved over the years to be totally student oriented. There is no more ego involved in the teaching/coaching....been there and done that.... and I 100% especially like the way I interact with my clients.
My education includes a Masters Degree in Vocal and Choral Technique, but the most valuable information I have to offer is through success and failure, triumph and disaster in my own career as a singer/actor/director. I LOVE TO SHARE WHAT I HAVE JOYFULLY AND SOMETIMES PAINFULLY LEARNED!

About Patty

My name is Patty Parsons. After graduate school where I studied voice, classical and opera, I ran away from home and joined a rock & roll band as lead singer. After 15 fabulous years on the California west coast, appearing with such artists as Tina Turner and the Everly Brothers, I moved on to act

I am passionate about cultivating the "total package performer". I will help students build a solid foundation of music theory, sight reading, technique, and most importantly ear training while tailoring to your unique style and goals. Most importantly, part of my lesson plan includes allowing the student to discover their unique voice, be confident in performing, and most importantly enjoying every lesson performance.

About Gellimy

Hello! Welcome to my page. A little bit about me. I started singing at an early age. I began voice lessons at age 6 in her hometown in the Philippines. Then I moved to Sacramento in 2010, and continued singing throughout high school and college. I recently graduated from California State Universi

I've been teaching Classical Singing for three years and was trained as a classical singer for seven years. The curriculum I use is based on the wealth of music in my personal music library that is available for students to use. Students are also welcome to bring in their own sheet music. My teaching philosophy is content-based. I like to demonstrate the songs for students, and then let them fly with their own ideas.

Corinne is a wonderful teacher! She is patient and has such a positive energy. I always leave my lesson feeling better than when I came in. She's very knowledgeable and wants the best for all her students. She can teach any age! I'm a 25 year old beginner and thought it would be difficult to learn and keep up with playing the piano, but Corinne supports and inspires me. I can't recommend Corinne enough.
Vanessa
I have been wanting to play an instrument for such a long time, but never had the motivation to try it, until recently. Wanting to play Piano was a spur of the moment decision for me. I googled piano teachers in my area and Corinne was one of the first people to pop up. After reading all her rave reviews, I decided to give it a go. I was so nervous for my first lesson, but she made me feel comfortable and at ease the minute I walked through the door. She is educated and passionate about music. Also, she is extremely patient. I have been going to her for Piano Lessons now once a week for almost 6 months and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I absolutely, without a doubt, recommend Corinne. She's amazing!
Ashleigh
We love Corinne!! My daughter started taking piano with Corinne when she was 5 and she absolutely loves her! Corinne is so patient and kind with the kids and goes at exactly the right pace for each child. My daughter has learned so much and is reading music as she plays - amazing!! Highly recommend Corinne, she's the best!

It is eminent that he is knowledgeable and great at what he does. Without a doubt, I would recommend anybody seeking to become a better singer to have a lesson with him. I've already learnt so much from him, and I look forward to all the lessons to come."

"There are two things about Sammy that struck me as unforgettably impressive. One is how kind he is to his students and the positive learning environment he creates for his students. I wasn't afraid to make mistakes and just go for it---a MUST if I'm serious about improving. The other was the breadth and depth of his knowledge on singing, down to the tiny details. Seriously, folks, this guy knows what he's talking about."

"Betsy has private space in her home for lessons. This is important for level of comfort. Betsy starts the first lesson with what I would call a consultation. She doesn't just dive in and say ok, you asked for this type of lessen, so this is what we are going to do. She actually asks what your goals are, and checks in on those goals as you progress and master techniques. Another reason I gave her 5 starts is because, unlike a previous vocal coach, she doesn't just have you do a warm up, then practice singing. She actually teaches you techniques to master to improve your tone. As you get a handle on one technique, she teaches you another."
