My in-laws are from Ho Chi Minh City, so at the beginning I was not sure about studying with Trang because she mentioned she has a Northern accent. I have been taking class with Trang for a few months now and I must say she is amazing. Classes are very organized and you know exactly what you are covering and where you left off from the last class. She is very enthusiastic always makes class fun. Professional, patient, and teaches in a way that allows a student a better understanding of a very difficult language! If it wasn’t for my new work schedule, I would have done many more lessons but I feel like the lessons I have had with Mr Nguyen has given me the foundations of the language! 5 stars!

"I have had three Vietnamese teachers in the past year and Chau is definitely the most professional and organized. He has 30 years of experience as a Vietnamese/French/English teacher in Saigon and has taught Vietnamese to numerous US government employees (including myself) since moving to the US. "In the three months I started taking Vietnamese lessons from Mr. Chau, I have made a lot of progress, especially in my reading and speaking ability. Mr. Chau is an excellent teacher. He is very methodical in his teaching and meticulous in his preparation before each session. For example, for speaking lessons, the topics he chooses and the series of questions he asks during classes reflect clearly on the thought he has put into in his preparation before each class. "I was a student in Mr. Chau Nguyen’s beginner Vietnamese class. Trying to speak a new language can be embarrassing, but Mr. Nguyen created an encouraging atmosphere and was very patient. He gives ample opportunity for students to ask questions and provides thorough explanations. Mr. Nguyen did a great job of breaking down the lessons in manageable segments that were appropriately challenging. He also used various teaching techniques so that each class was fresh and unpredictable.

I put in the time to complete the homework and review the vocabulary and sentence structures that we'd covered each week. After a handful of classes, I went from practically zero language ability (aside from a few food terms) to being able to articulate some simple questions and answers in Vietnamese. I looked forward to attending the classes and found them to be rewarding."
