About Jeremy
A Berklee College of Music graduate and a professional music instructor for over ten years, I can help you to reach your musical goals. I tailor lessons to suit your needs covering everything from skill development, music theory and musicianship, to expanding your repertoire and composing original work. I am new to Seattle, having just moved from San Francisco where I performed regularly at a wide array of venues such as Great American Music Hall, Freight and Salvage, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Bimbos, Bottom of the Hill, Savanna Jazz, Amnesia, Ashkenaz, Mystic Theater and Cafe Du Nord. I play many styles of music. Jazz, rock, funk, punk, blue-grass... you name it. I can show you how to play what you want to play.

Any style, any level!

I'll help you reach whatever your goal is. I've had SO MANY different students over the years and I use my training from my Master's Degree to design a perfect curriculum just for you. If at any point you want to move a different direction, just let me know and we'll shift gears. I'm uniquely proficient in many styles and am not a one-trick pony, so I'm a great teacher for you if you want to dabble in many styles from an expert, but don't want to keep switching teachers.

About Jaxon
*See further below for lesson details!*
Jaxon the Guitarist: I am a Doctoral Guitar Major at USC studying classical guitar. I have been playing the guitar for 19 years and teaching for 10. My main style is classical, and due to the technical training I have had since I was very young, it has been very easy for me to learn and master other styles such as Rock, Jazz, Blues, Pop, Country, and other styles of guitar. I have a passion for performing and have played hundreds of solo and ensemble concerts. As a classical performer I was the Oregon State champion in their guitar competition for both 2005 and 2006 and won 4th prize at the Sierra Nevada International Classical Guitar Competition 2014. I have played concerts all over the United States as well as in Spain and Mexico. As a performer of other styles I have played in many bands an
d have won high school battle of the bands competitions and recently placed 2nd in BYU's battle of the bands 2011. I was a regional finalist in Guitar Center's "King of the Blues" competition as well.

Jaxon the Teacher: I really love spreading the knowledge I've learned over the years about the guitar, bass guitar, songwriting, music theory, and everything music related to my students. I find a huge sense of fulfillment in seeing my students understand and enjoy learning and making beautiful music. I have a high level of knowledge and skills that I am very willing to use to teach students from the most beginner to the most advanced. Former students of mine have achieved lofty goals ranging from making it into a music program at the college level to winning their school's talent show to being accepted into their school's jazz band.

*** Lesson Details ***
My curriculum is based around YOU. I push my students hard, but I make sure they're always having fun and enjoying playing. I like to get my students playing real songs as fast as possible so they can see results immediately and get excited!

Note: I am trained and specialized in teaching children fingerstyle guitar. I have taught hundreds of kids in schools, privately, and in groups over the last two years. The method I use is proven to give kids the best possible start to music and maximize their potential. If you have children and you want them to learn good technique and music principles through guitar, you don't want to look any further, I promise.

*** Studio Equipment ***
I have stools, music stands, and an amp here so all you need to bring is your guitar!

*** Travel Equipment ***
I do not provide any equipment.
Student must have their own guitar and amp if they play electric.
I do have guitars available for rental.

*** Specialties ***
-Children's fingerstyle guitar
-Proficient in Suzuki method
-Specialist in classical guitar, though proficient up to highly advanced in any guitar style (blues, rock, country, jazz, pop, etc)
-Also very experienced teaching songwriting and music performance

I can offer students the beginning blocks for laying a solid foundation to learn guitar and inspire their love for the instrument.

I currently work with kids from 6-8 y/o who want to learn guitar but want to try it out before making the full commitment. I can teach all ages chords, songs, and developing finger dexterity.

About Enrique
I truly enjoy teaching and have many years of experience teaching students of all levels and ages.

I try to teach my students how important it is to listen to themselves play. When appropriate, I bring a guitar or bass (depending on the student's need) and help the student learn how drums relate to the rest of the music. I want all of my students to enjoy playing and to have music as a tool for life: one that helps them express themselves, think creatively, learn specific and technical skills, and grow musically. I believe all people can benefit from learning to play an instrument. If you or your child believe that music can provide a new way to find meaning and joy in life while learning a valuable skill, please contact me.

In addition, I have successfully taught many students who have had trouble in school due to lack of motivati
on and/or learning disabilities. Drum/percussion lessons have reawakened these discouraged students' desire to learn and I am happy to adjust my teaching style for any disabilities or difficulties a student may have. I am happy to provide references from parents whose children were struggling in other areas of life and who looked forward to a music lesson when all else seemed to be a chore.

More information: My recent recordings include top-selling Mexican pop artist Yuridia's newest album, Entre Mariposas, produced by his longtime collaborator Javier Calderon, and I have shared credits with Kenny Aronoff and James East.

Winner , San Diego Music Awards with the band Skelpin.

Percussionist of Manolito Gypsy (Gypsy Kings).

Classes are 30, 45 or 60 minutes, depending on age and ability. I give lessons at your home or in my home studio.

I will start by talking to the student and/or parent about what the student would like to accomplish from the lessons and what, if any, musical background the student already has. It's OK if you don't have any experience at all.

The first class is when I focus on understanding how the student learns. Everyone learns differently and is motivated differently, so I make it a point to get to know what makes the student tick. During the first lesson, we will do some basic exercises so I can pinpoint where they are, and I'll assign skills to practice for the next class.

If the class is taught at my home studio, I record it for the student to refer to during the week. I assign exercises for every class, so please plan to practice at least 15 minutes per day while you are taking lessons.

Finally, I offer a recording opportunity for students who are writing songs and would like to learn recording skills. This is an option for advanced students, students who are looking to record a demo, or for young students who would like to preserve their new accomplishments on an audio file that can be given as a gift.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Roland TD-6 and Yamaha stage custom and acoustic drums. Full in-home studio. Machudo Cajons (Drum Box) Yamaha acoustic set, Sonar recording software,Box) Yamaha acoustic set, Sonar rec software,

*** Travel Equipment ***
Will bring appropriate lesson materials to your home and we will work together to get the right practice materials for you within your budget.

I offer contemporary music instruction for 6 string acoustic and electric guitar, and focus on theory, technique, sight reading and tablature, ear training, and improvisation.

About Jeffrey
"Music is the catalyst that helps to enhance the quality of life.We as musicians and educators MUST pass it on."

I am a 27 year practicing professional musician, songwriter, arranger, and music educator. Music is my passion. I currently teach guitar, piano, and organ, and serve as minister of music and staff musician for two Chicago area church congregations. I have played guitar and keyboards for local bands, and am well versed with a variety of musical styles.

*** Lesson Details ***
I specifically tailor my lessons for each student....I do not use a "cookie cutter" lesson style. To achieve the best lesson approach for the most positive student outcome, I conduct a student assessment during the first lesson (first lessons are free for a limited time) to determine student skills, goals, and objectives. After the assessment, I
structure a comprehensive, contemporary lesson plan that includes fundamentals, technique, theory, and songs relative to the lesson in a fun and productive manner that engages the student and promotes his/her creativity.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Acoustic piano (A 440), Yamaha Digital Piano, Hammond X-C3 organ, 6 string acoustic guitar, 6 string classical guitar

*** Travel Equipment ***
My expectation would be that all students I visit in home would have an acoustic piano properly tuned, or a digital piano or keyboard with 88 weighted keys. Guitar students should have a 6 string, acoustic or electric guitar (with an amplifier).

As everyone is different with different goals, ages, and levels of proficiency so to is my method of instruction for each individual... Beginners will expect to quickly begin enjoying the instrument without intimidation by it ... they will learn... 1. Proper left and right hand, arm, and body positioning. 2. Proper (not common !) pick grip and angles. 3. Strongly "suggested" reading of music. 4. How to play notes and first position chords. 5. Rhythm focus to play along with all previously listed to some of their favorite songs... An intermediate to advanced Classical student may expect a doses of technique, sight reading, and theory within a particular lesson for say, ABRSM exam prep.. An Intermediate to Advanced Blues, Rock, or Shred student may expect more focus on scale and arpeggio applications for improvisation.

About Don

Years ago I took Guitar Lessons at a local music store ( a very prominent one) as a raw beginner and quickly became frustrated with my lack of progress. Although my teacher was a great player and "very hot" to look at I soon began to feel like I was merely his "practice dummy."... I'd play the chords he showed me, endlessly,... while he seemed to be just practicing his solo playing. ... I then tried On-Line Lessons from various sites which were actually even less helpful and soon just lost interest completely.
A friend of mine said she had taken lessons from a Don DeBold for about 5 years before going off to college and highly recommended him.
I've now been taking lessons from Don for almost 2 years and having a blast ! I've learned how to play along with most of my favorite songs (mainly Blues and Rock) and now I'm learning to play Solo Guitar that needs no accompaniment !
Unlike my first teacher, during many lessons Don barely plays or even has his Strat on his lap because he's busy concentrating on what I'm doing !
He's a stickler yet lots of fun at the same time> I super recommend him as a Guitar and Music Teacher !!! Aneiah J.
