Music has always been an important part of my life. I've had piano lessons since 6 yrs of age and been the lead tenor in many show choir and vocal performing groups. *** Lesson Details ***
As a kid, I enjoyed playing piano but I felt that my piano lessons were more of a chore than a hobby, a routine of playing songs I did not particularly like. I make lessons fun by having my students choose the music/genre that they want to play. When they learn songs that they like, students are more engaged and interested. And because they are enjoying themselves, they develop their musical talents more quickly.
My lessons are fun but also challenging. I take you out of your comfort zone by recording lessons from time to time so that you’ll know what you sound like. I feel that the best music comes out when you play from the heart. I teach fundamentals and theory, but I encourage creativity. Each artist is unique and my job is to bring out that individual music style and give you a foundation to grow on.
From a business perspective, I’m organized, punctual, friendly, informative and easy to learn from.
*** Studio Equipment ***
I have contacts who can provide a full range of recording equipment and provide coaching assistance while recording in the studio. Your end product will be of higher quality for a lower price. We're professionals!
*** Travel Equipment ***
I can provide a guitar but would expect the student to have one or get one. I'll loan you one until you get one and I can provide some tips on where to shop.
*** Specialties ***
