Students can expect to enjoy a positive, supportive and joyful experience learning music theory, technique and skillfulness at the piano. Students will be inspired to achieve their goals and demonstrate their accomplishments in performance. For example; students are encouraged to learn their notes as well as they know their alphabet. When they can say and play the 24 notes of the grand staff in 30 seconds or less, they become a lifetime member of the 30 Second Club with a certificate and medallion award to commemorate this achievement. It's a big deal, so I feature the new members in recital programs. Parents are welcome and encouraged to sit in on lessons.
About Terri
At age nine I began piano and clarinet lessons and continued my music studies throughout high school and into college. I played in numerous solo and ensemble festivals, honor bands, piano recitals, adjudicated piano and soloist competitions, scholarship competitions and numerous concerts. I learned

My children received excellent music instruction in both trombone and flute. I was pleased with the rigor of the practice that was expected from Eric, which enabled dramatic growth in their musical ability. I was also pleased that they were both able to read music due to the instruction they were given under Eric's tutelage.
As I said earlier, I have worked with Eric as a colleague. I found him to be highly organized, student centered with regard to growth and performance, and a man of high character.
Eric created a Jazz band curriculum at the school corporation we taught at, where he developed several Jazz sections that would perform regularly in the community. Eric would invite notable guest musicians to work with the students and participate with them in these performances.
I would recommend Eric, without reservations, to anyone who desires a quality music instructor.

Using a Kodaly based approach, students will learn to identify melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic elements and ultimately to be able to read music from written notation.
Ear training encompasses perceiving how sounds are moving so that it can be sung, notated, or played back. Conversely, training the ear enables one to mentally hear notated music in advance of playing it. This valuable skill speeds all aspects of musical learning.

I recommend him enthusiastically!"

Tony has been my sons (age 8) instructor for months and we can not say enough positive things about him. My son is very shy and Tony was able to make him comfortable from his very first lesson. I have seen Tony play with his own band and he is an impressive showman. I can see where he can be able to teach and be comfortable with any level of player - from beginner to advanced. Thanks again Tony!"
