Piano instruction from beginners through advanced. Developing your playing skills to achieve the levels of performance you aspire to and develop confidence along the way.

About Barry
I have almost 30 years of experience teaching voice, working with choral groups, voice students as well as classroom music instruction. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Music Education as well as a Masters degree in music from an accredited school of music and have been performing both as a soloist and in vocal performance groups since I was a teenager. I bring to the vocal/music studio all of this experience as well as a heart to pass along this experience to others that desire to share the song that is in their heart. If it is your desire to sing, play the keyboard or guitar, please get in touch with me!

*** Lesson Details ***
When a student gets started with me , wherever their interest lies, I work to discover where they are on their musical journey, discuss some goals they would like to set for themselves and put a teaching and le
arning plan into motion.

For vocalists my primary goal is to assist anyone who is looking to improve the tonal quality and strength of their singing or speaking voice while reducing vocal tension and voice fatigue.

I facilitate singers of any level, age or style who seek to improve breath support, diction, range, tone quality, and ease of singing. This is achieved through a variety of singing exercises, fun vocal drills and creative singing games that we do in lesson time and with instruction on what to do at home.

For individuals seeking to develop basic musical understandings in theory, keyboard skills and guitar, I endeavor to start with were they are and take them to where they desire to be as a musician; opening up doors of music understanding and performance skills that help them on their musical journey.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Keyboard/Piano, Sound system, computer

*** Travel Equipment ***
I have a portable Keyboard if needed for in home keyboard lessons.

*** Specialties ***
Children's Voice and Vocal Techniques for all ages. Beginning piano and Keyboard basics.

You will be guided through method books by me and use supplemental materials I create to help you fill voids you may have to reach appropriate levels in your playing. You will get some popular and classical and Baroque training.I have been teaching piano for 8 years. You will be able to use the piano for personal goals as well as critical level demands. I want to be your next instructor.

About Mark
I teach according to your individual needs. I only teach in my own studio. I do not travel anymore. I help you become successful on piano, violin, cello, viola, bass, guitar, or bass guitar. I help you learn the instrument and learn to read music with my own ideas using fun worksheets and songs you really like to learn how to play. I fill your voids with activities such as practice techniques, sub-lessons, and ear training. I guide you toward proper posture, tone development, and the ability to keep a steady beat. I help you develop your musical independence by tweaking lessons to help you succeed. I help you have fun learning to read music for your instrument using my materials. I believe talent is not a factor in learning. Mastering an instrument is the result of effective instruction and step by step guidance toward foundations and sk
ills. I love to teach private lessons because I believe in spreading the word to make the great gift of playing music available to many. It is an inherited right and gift to enjoy a lifetime of personal satisfaction from playing a musical instrument. I love to help students build confidence and make progress. I help them problem solve by going through problems with them. I teach "how to think" and how to become a life long learner of the instrument. I love the challenge of finding ways to help students become successful at every step of the way. I am excited and enthused to be apart of student progress. I am influenced by many 20th Century performers including Van Cliburn, Oscar Peterson, George Shearing, Erroll Garner, Yudi Menuhin, Issac Stern and Horowitz among others. I am passionate in my teaching about providing an effective solution to my student's needs. I am pleased to announce my teaching has awarded a cello student a spot at Del Sol music high school for the 2017-2018 school year. this student of mine passed an audition January of 2017 as a result of my teaching. The student worked very hard and followed my instruction very well. Congratulations!! I am also pleased to announce two of my cello students have both passed auditions to play in the Las Vegas Youth Orchestra starting in September 2017. They both auditioned during May 2017. Congratulations to both of you!!! I also had a violin student who passed auditions for LVA (Las Vegas Academy) a couple of years ago. I have no connection to these organizations. These students all worked hard and followed my instruction. I can help you learn as well. Recently with the development of "octave" strings, if you have been split between learning violin, viola, or cello; these strings installed on a violin or viola make the instrument sound like a cello. It is really something. They are tuned an octave below, so they sound very low. A lot of cello music will have to be transcribed for owners of these instruments installed with "octave" strings. Videos can be found on YOU TUBE of these instruments played. They are ordinary violins or violas strung up with thicker strings to sound an octave below.

I am a professional educator who works with both children and adults, and has the patience to help them. I am a performer who has over 30 years of public experience in solo playing as well as ensemble work. I have performed at Nordstrom for nine years, and performed at many private functions. I have performed classical as well as jazz music as part as my performance experience. I have taught private lessons for well over 17 years. I'm sorry, as of Summer 2016 I do not travel to student locations. I teach at my studio. If you are among the many parents who home-school your children, you should consider music lessons for them. There are many benefits of home-schooling, but unfortunately students miss out on specials. Practicing an instrument can make up for that and also teach critical learning habits and personal skills toward learning in general.

*** Lesson Details ***
I believe in personalizing your approach to the strangeness of the instrument. You need to learn much about posture, and proper tone production within the first year. Method books are not "how to" books. You need a teacher to guide you toward becoming familiar with the instrument. You also need to learn how to listen to the sounds you make as you play. To develop "musical independence" you need to become musically literate, develop tone production skills, and internalize a steady beat. Rhythm and tone are basic concepts that must be mastered to maximize pleasure in playing your instrument. Learning how to problem solve is another skill I teach so you can help yourself toward progress.
I believe in using the instrument in daily activities such as playing "Happy Birthday" at family get together. Christmas Songs or Hanukkah Songs can bring much joy during December family parties.
A musician in the house brings much joy during holidays and celebrations; and the families are brought closer together. Memories are created and last forever. Playing an instrument is exciting and expresses what can not be said using words. I believe in teaching students based on their strengths, and building upon them. I am excited to help you learn!!

I only teach in my own studio. I do not travel anymore.

You can advance quickly if you are taught to listen to yourself and follow my instruction. I will guide you every step of the way to understand how music making works. Music lessons are fun and enjoyable. I am pleased to guide you through your learning every step of the way. My students in Las Vegas have had much success with my teaching and guidance. I will succeed where others fail. You will reap the benefits of my professional instruction. I bring a wealth of teaching experience, teacher training, and professional playing experience to every lesson. Most music store studio instructors have very little or no teacher training. Playing experience does not make one a helpful teacher. Failure to learn "how to" teach along with not earning any teaching credentials will not make a satisfying music instructor.

Students can expect to enjoy a positive, supportive and joyful experience learning music theory, technique and skillfulness at the piano. Students will be inspired to achieve their goals and demonstrate their accomplishments in performance. For example; students are encouraged to learn their notes as well as they know their alphabet. When they can say and play the 24 notes of the grand staff in 30 seconds or less, they become a lifetime member of the 30 Second Club with a certificate and medallion award to commemorate this achievement. It's a big deal, so I feature the new members in recital programs. Parents are welcome and encouraged to sit in on lessons.

About Terri
At age nine I began piano and clarinet lessons and continued my music studies throughout high school and into college. I played in numerous solo and ensemble festivals, honor bands, piano recitals, adjudicated piano and soloist competitions, scholarship competitions and numerous concerts. I learned at a very young age that enthusiasm and creativity expressed by my teachers played an integral role in my motivation to succeed. My experience playing in band, orchestra, ensembles and as a soloist, gives me an enhanced ability to convey lessons in harmony either played between hands or in duets/ensembles.
Because I also have a strong background in ballet and ballroom dance, I utilize these talents to reinforce time signature and rhythm lessons. It's amazing to see how my students transfer the rhythm from their feet to their fingertips accurat
ely. This method also helps them visualize and interpret the music in a more satisfying manner.
Music is the centrifugal force in my life which I joyfully extend to my family and students. I am the proud mother of four children who grew up in a musical home; three of them are proficient, award-winning pianists. My students are also award-winning competitors in the Lisa Fiorenza Junior Piano Competition, Las Vegas, NV.
I have enjoyed teaching piano students ranging in age from 3 to 80 years old. Let's Make A Joyful Noise Together!

I like to have fun with it and make sure the student is enjoying his or her time playing and practicing the piano so there is a lasting connection with the instrument.

About Aaron
My goal is to help anyone with a desire to learn.

I have been playing piano for the past 16 years and have had great teachers from whom I've learned great playing, composing, and teaching techniques. I have been playing guitar for 11 years as well. I'm in an alternative rock band, The Perks, based out of Las Vegas, and have experience composing and playing multiple instruments.

I have a thorough understanding of music theory and hope to share what I know with my students.

Thanks for checking out my profile! You have come to the right place! I’m happy to offer my teaching services, backed by over 15 solid years of fulltime teaching and 40 years of professional musical experience.

Every student has a particular way of learning, and I quickly access this and lean instruction towards his or her process. I tailor the lessons so that you will learn with the best possible speed and comprehension. Visual learners can benefit from additional work with paper or with Finale or Sibelius (I teach both programs, BTW). Aural learners benefit from listening to me demonstrate, and from hearing different variations of a given piece. Technical learners benefit from tactile, direct guidance of hand position of motion.

Above all, a love of music is critical to effective teaching. The love for music should be shared between student and teacher. Let me assure you that there is, for me, nothing on this earth as special and personal as music. I do what I do because I love ...

About Charles
I’ve been an active musician for over 40 years. I performed in rock bands from middle school through high school until I started my training at Berklee. After graduating with a degree in composition, I resumed touring with rock and pop bands until my early thirties. For the next ten years I taught privately and released 5 recordings of art music that received enthusiastic reviews both in the USA and in Europe. Three of these recordings were electronic and microtonal in nature, and two were solo piano recordings. Also during this time I became a certified teacher in the State of Connecticut.

After this phase of my life, I took a position as head of the music department at Proctor Academy in Andover, NH. I ran every aspect of the department for 5 years before leaving to focus on my studies in film score music. After completing an 18-month
course with Music for the Media (London) I opened a studio in New Hampshire at the granite Media Center and scored 15 TV episodes and 7 films before moving to Los Angeles for additional opportunities. I’m currently living in Las Vegas, still playing and composing, and still loving the music!

I have been teaching private piano lessons for over 15 years from the beginners from age 5 to intermediate students. My lessons include: piano technique, theory, ear training and solfege singing. Your lessons will be customized depending on your interests and needs. I am especially good with younger students. In addition to teaching piano, I have taught music/choir from elementary to high school level at public schools. I have a Nevada State Teaching License in K-12 Music and 9th-12th Vocal Music. I have a B.A. in Music Education with Piano Performance and a M.A. in Education. I would love to hear from you!

About Akiko
Hello! I have been playing the piano ever since I was 6 year's old, and have been teaching piano over 15 years. I began teaching piano when I was working on my Bachelor's Degree in Music and also taught vocal music at a local elementary school. After receiving a B.A. and a teaching license, I have taught vocal music at elementary schools and choir at both middle and high schools. Because of this extensive teaching experience at schools, I am good with young children and teens.

Even as a pianist, I strongly believe that ear training and solfege singing play a big role in learning to play piano. In addition to teaching playing technique and artistry, my lessons include music theory, ear training, sight-reading and solfege singing. I specialize in classical music.

I homeschool my daughter, so I am available during the day to especi
ally teach homeschool children and their families. I am fun, organized, very patient, and I am an excellent teacher. I can't wait to hear from you!
