I've been taking lessons with Mike for a few years now, and he's an excellent instructor. As a student, I am encouraged to choose the song
s I'd like to learn and from there we use each song as a jumping off point to build a vocabulary on the drums. This approach is way more fun than learning figures and rudiments in abstract, and honestly, coming from a classical music background that was largely focused on rules and theory, my lessons with Mike have made me a better musician overall. I certainly feel more confident improvising. I'm an adult student with a day job, so I appreciate that he's let me drive the pace of my own learning, while also giving helpful tips on how to get the most out of practice time, etc. I would absolutely recommend him to other students!"

"Vibrant and passionate with her love for music and teaching
I play the piano and wanted to refresh my technique and music reading. Thank goodness for Ann
a who gave me such tools, teaching me a smart way in learning harder pieces. She also taught me how to read and play music conveying the composer's feelings and emotions, and put my emotions to the song as I play it. Now I do feel that besides the technical side of the music sheet, I have also put more passion and feelings when I play the song. Thanks, Anna!"

"An Exceptional Instructor!!!
Erin is a very knowledgeable instructor in both voice and piano. I have been taking lessons from her in my home for about 3
months now and I have made HUGE strides in my ability to sing on key (which was close to zero before I started lessons with her) and my ability to read music and play the piano which I gave up on when I was 8 years old.
Erin is professional, patient, understanding and very reliable and I would highly recommend her. Her valuable instruction has opened a whole new world for me!"

"Quick improvement with her wonderful note
I have been taking Tiffini's singing lesson through Skype for a year. I, myself, amazed with my quick improveme
nt of my singing skills. For an adult student, her notes are great resource for my practice. I enjoyed so much working with her. Thank you Tiffini!"
I received my education at the University of Wisconsin, majoring in Jazz Guitar. I've studied with some of the best guitarists in the Midwest, and have performed live and in recording studios all across the country in a variety of styles (Rock, Metal, Bluegrass, Jazz, Classical, Country). I've performed internationally, and my playing has been featured on several prime time television shows. I've always had a love of music, and it’s a passion that I try to instill in all of my students!
Through focus on note reading, chords, improvisation, and technique, I try to give my students tools that
they can take with them throughout their musical journey, whether playing music for fun or professionally!
*** Lesson Details *** I like to be laid back and very individual with my approach. I always introduce a curriculum designed to teach basic chords, note reading, and basic theory, but I also understand that each student has a particular set of interests, and I want to inspire them to follow those interests. Whether it's Rock, Blues, Country, Folk, or Classical, I want to give my students the tools and understanding that they need to excel at the music that drives them.
*** Travel Equipment *** I expect my students to have everything that they need to practice the materials that I give them, including an instrument, amplifier and tuner if necessary, and a music stand. I provide all lesson materials.
*** Specialties *** I specialize in rock, country, metal, blues, and jazz with an emphasis on theory and technique.

Jordan was a very excellent teacher. He was very well spoken and very patient. Jordan brought humor into his teachings and it was well appreciated. I look forward to the next lesson.

My daughter had a great first lesson with Jordan. She really liked his teaching style, how he taught her step by step. She is looking forward to next week!
I have been giving voice lessons for the last 10 years. I have taught from elementary school students to adults, new/fresh beginners to intermediate. I am a great encourager and am eager to see you grow in your talents and abilities. I have been singing in church choirs and receiving private voice lessons since I was 6 yrs. old. With a BA in Music, I graduated from William Jessup University, emphasis in voice. From there I went on to teach at a Music Academy and then a music focused college known as "Instituto Canzion". I have received additional instruction from classes and private lessons at
Musician's Institute located in Hollywood, CA and continue to gain teaching techniques from many different professors. One of my main goals as a teacher is to make sure you are constantly growing and being challenged. As a teacher I hope to provide specifically for each students need. I have experience with instructing for pop, rock, indie, country, musical theater, and contemporary christian genres. I have worked with choir pieces as well as solos and duets, and have spent some time in recording studios, Coaching vocalists as well as doing some recording of my own. My desire is that every student would feel comfortable sing/performing in front of an audience while having fun, because that's what it's about, after all, that feeling of accomplishment after you've worked so hard. So let me help you to feel confident while performing and have a great time!
*** Lesson Details *** My teaching style is somewhat laid back. I always tell my students, "You will get out of these lessons only as much as you are willing to put in." I can be strict if that helps a student, but I try to work with each individual at a pace that works best for them. I do challenge my students to reach and push themselves to what I know they are capable of. One of the first things I will do in a lesson is to set a personal goal with the student. This helps to have something to work towards. In lessons I will focus on areas like correct breathing, posture, relaxing tension, vowels, pitch, pronunciation, performance, and others. These are some of the areas that should definitely show noticeable improvement after 3-6 months. Other things like vocal physiology and ear training will be implemented as well as some sight reading. In the end it's really all about what you want to learn. I don't claim to know it all, but I am a life long learner and am continuing to better myself through further education.
*** Studio Equipment *** Keyboard, Mirror, Recorder, Music stand. The student needs to provide their own flash drive to download lessons.
*** Travel Equipment *** I have a keyboard and a recorder, but I need to be informed as to whether I need these items or not. The student needs to provide his or her own flash drive to download lessons.
*** Specialties *** I mainly teach Pop, Country-pop, pop-rock, Musical theater, Christian and contemporary genres.

Melanie is phenomenal! I'm a professional artist and songwriter here in Nashville, TN. When I came to Melanie, I explained all of my trouble areas a long with areas of poor technique and bad habits. Not to mention her incredible niche for hearing all the areas in my voice that needed to be fixed. In just the first two lessons with her, my voice became stronger and healthier. I recommend her for any areas that you may need rather it be maitenence on your voice, beginner lessons or pro lessons. She's amazing!

Melanie is incredibly thoughtful and thorough in her approach to teaching voice. She is the most patient and knowledgeable teacher I've ever had. If I've ever not understood a concept, she helps me to work through it in my time. She quickly identified my strengths and helped me to keep them strong while working diligently improving my weakest parts. I highly recommend her if you are looking for someone who will be the best teacher you have ever had.
I am a lead guitar player and multi instrumentalist of over 15 years, and would love to teach you everything I know!
I have been studying music for over 20 years, through school and college, on my own, and with private instructors including Toby Walker, Anthony Wellington, and Buddy Charleton. I consider my main instrument to be guitar- I have been playing for about 16 years, and am comfortable in just about any professional situation on my instrument. I play lead guitar, rhythm, etc. We can go over many techniques and subjects to help you become more versatile and well rounded: including
ostinato picking, slide/open tunings, improvisation, and composition.
I also teach pedal steel guitar, I have studied for about 8 years, some of that time was with world renowned steel guitarist, Buddy Charleton.
Each lesson is eagerly tailored to the student's strengths and needs in order to help them learn to the best of their ability, and ultimately, have fun!
As a student of mine, you will come to understand that music is a language, and we want to give you the tools and resources that you need in order to speak and understand that language fluently. Prioritizing your interests and genres that you prefer, we will expand in areas where you seek improvement, as well as incorporating ear training, music theory, and new exercises and techniques specific to your skill level and instrument. Each lesson is tailored to each student's learning style. From reading music and ear training, to writing counterpoint and mastering improvisational techniques, together we will find ways to help you grow as a musician. :)
*** Lesson Details *** When we schedule our first lesson, I will ask you a few questions about your interests, goals in taking lessons, and your priorities related to music. This way, I can be sure to tailor the lesson to meet your expectations and goals.
Generally, my lessons lean towards feeling laid back, and no pressure... along with positive energy and passion for music!
Curriculum is catered to the student, and based on student goals and priorities. Jazz studies will differ from studying rock n roll, as well as classical, etc. Once we have an introductory lesson, I will be able to review with you the materials, passages, postures, techniques, and music we will be working with. You always are encouraged to have a say in what you want to learn, whether it is your 1st or your 50th lesson.
***Skype Equipment Needed*** Computer, good internet connection, instrument, 1 hour
*** Travel Equipment Liz will provide/student can provide*** guitars, metronome, recording device
*** Specialties *** I teach beginner, intermediate, and advanced students in genres including jazz, rock, metal, classical, funk, blues, country, pop, and more, on a handful of instruments including lead guitar, rhythm guitar, slide guitar, ukulele, and pedal steel guitar.

I've been taking lessons from teacher Liz for a couple of years now but I've also had the chance to meet and play with all the other teachers as well. These are wonderful people dedicated to helping you discover or improve your inner musician. I've gone from complete beginner to being able to play and lead songs in the group jam sessions under their tutelage. It's been a great journey and I could not have asked for better inspiration and guidance. I'd give then more stars if it was an option.
Christine March 16, 2016
I have been taking lessons with Liz for about a year and a half. She is an amazing teacher! I am fortunate to have an instructor who knows my interests and goals as it relates to music. I have always had a passion for music, and Liz has made me realize that my passion can only grow further as I am learning how to create music on my own. She is encouraging and patient and knows just when and how to challenge me to reach the next step in my journey. It has been life changing. I can't thank her enough!

Caleb is a wonderful teacher. After over a decade of not playing guitar, he has helped bring me father than I thought I could be after just a few lessons. He's very intuitive for how students learn, and explains difficult concepts well. Coming from a fellow musician who has also taught music lessons-- He's the best! :)

Caleb is truly a student-centric instructor. He lets the student's progress dictate the pace and program. I've learned a lot from him, and intend to continue taking lessons from Caleb. Thus far, Caleb is the best instructor I've had.

Caleb has a great personality and is able to explaining the basics of guitar playing to even a beginner like me. Great instructor!
I offer high-quality, client-centered voice lessons that focus on technique and performance. I have worked with all voice types, including those who have severe vocal damage. You will notice an immediate difference in your voice after our first lesson together. Your success is my biggest focus!
I have studied under some of the top vocal coaches, speech pathologist, myofunctional therapist, and vocal scientist in the nation to better understand the functionality of the vocal folds as they relate to speech and singing.
My specialties include expanding the vocal range, smoothing over the
bridge in the voice, teaching "mix" technique, correcting issues with speech, and helping clients deliver their most moving performance.

Nothing but good things to say about Jacob! I came to him as a drummer wanting to sing background vocals. From the very first lesson Jacob made me feel very comfortable and at ease. It's hard in my opinion to teach an instrument that is non tangible but Jacob does it in a way that is easy to follow. He is very knowledgeable but can break things down so even a drummer can understand. :)
Sarah Beth January 7, 2016
Jacob was amazing! The best vocal coach I've found in Nashville! He understand the voice and how the vocal cords work in a way that I have never seen from other teachers. He makes the most out of every second we have together in our lesson which is important because I've had teachers who waste time or don't really give me 100% of their attention in lessons which can be so frustrating. Jacob is VERY present and attentive to every little detail. We've also done Skype lessons when I've been on the road which has been very helpful.

I've had quite a few vocal teachers over the years, and Jacob is the best.
This is not an exaggeration-- it's the God's honest truth. Jacob is a friendly, personable guy with a TON of education and training himself on the subject of singing and vocal instruction, and is not only a great singer himself, but a great teacher.
Within 2 lessons, I already noticed a marked difference, that ALSO not an exaggeration. This guy is the real deal, and I'd pay twice his rate to keep taking form him.
