Finding the right Piano or Voice Instructor will shape the way a student feels about music. When we make music we share a vulnerable and very unique part of ourselves. As a teacher, I strive to encourage, inspire and create an atmosphere for learning that is uniquely different for each of my students. My teaching style focuses on important skills but also emphasizes self-exploration and perhaps discovering a passion for something new. All ages are welcome. I am an experienced musician and educator with a B.M dual degree from Berklee College of Music, as well as a Master of Music Theory and Composition Degree in Scoring for Film and Multimedia from New York University.

I encourage learning with creativity and curiosity, which makes the lessons both fun and productive. I mainly teach voice, piano, music theory and composition lessons for all ages.

Besides these subjects, I also give lessons for ABRSM exam prep, college-bound musician prep, music theory placement exam, music history placement exam, ear training, arranging, orchestration, counterpoint, classical harmony, jazz harmony, Logic Pro, Sibelius and Pro Tools.

I've worked with all kinds of students and their personal goals. My syllabus covers 50 lessons with quizzes and a vast array of theory, workable exercises and the tools to open your own natural talent as well as improve challenges.

I've taught for over 25 years and had experiences all over Europe and in the Sacramento Choral Society, the Boston Pops and the Sacramento Ballet as well as performances at Carnegie Hall and countless other engagements. I have a dozen CD's with choirs I've been associated with, which only means that I've had the privilege of working with many wonderful conductors and learned at their hands.

I provide lessons to students aged 10 and up who are interested in learning the proper singing technique for classical music, opera, and musical theatre. In lessons, I help the students build a solid technique, learn new repertoire, and prepare for upcoming auditions.
