For Dance, I have a wide knowledge and can teach several forms as well as history and materials. In Juilliard I specialized in historical dance of the French Court which is also known as pre-ballet. At present I am studying Tango and other ballroom forms and can teach the beginning levels as well as help choreograph for weddings or events. Of course I also teach Ballet and many forms of Modern Dance. I adore teaching dance composition. To help a dance student make their own dances is very fulfilling.
For the Visual Arts I teach Abstract Painting as well as Installation and Performance Art.
*** Studio Equipment ***
I have supplies and space. Visual Art students need to contribute to materials by finding or purchasing whatever they like and adding to the mix. My students are welcome to use what I have here and I am always adding materials. Many people throw away materials that are perfectly good for art making so keep your eyes open and you'll find all kinds of good things. Visual Art students need to book a 2 hour minimum and I will lower the price if you just let me know you need it.
My fees: I start at a higher fee and after you've been a regular student we can lower the fee for you if you need.

In dance I teach classical ballet principles for beginners or those who are returning and want to work carefully and privately. I teach from the tradition of Alfredo Corvino's principles of relationship to organic forms and structures for sound development. I studied with Mr Corvino for years and continue to study with Ernesta Corvino.
For acting I teach a combination of classical acting technique with American sense memory and relaxation skills. I am well versed in the teachings of Lee Strasberg and then spent time in London to 'fill in the cracks' of my training with analytical skills as well as the various european influences that the Royal National embrace.
I teach creative discovery in combination with classical devices so the student can discover their own artistry while learning actual classical devices for accomplishing specific goals.

Students will learn vital techniques to create a connected voice blending head, chest, and diaphragm. Students will learn warm-up exercises that strengthen vocal cords and loosen the muscles needed to produce a professional sound and the importance of singing exercises to achieve this objective.
Students will learn how to avoid the most common singing mistakes that prevent singers from producing a clean and professional vocal tone.

Dr. Collins has sung the roles of Sharpless in Madama Butterfly, Sid in Albert Herring, Figaro in The Marriage of Figaro and in The Barber of Seville, Papageno in Die Zauberflӧte, Belcore in L’elisir d’amore, Jupiter in Orphée aux enfers, Dr. Falke in Die Fledermaus, Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Masetto in Don Giovanni, Schaunard in La Bohème, Clayton McAllister in Cold Sassy Tree, the Clock in L’Enfant et les Sortilèges, the Mandarin in Turandot, and Haushofmeister in the world premiere of Dorian Gray. Dr. Collins has had the pleasure of singing in the choruses of the Metropolitan Opera, Washington National Opera, and Fort Worth Opera. He has performed roles with the American Symphony Orchestra at Carnegie Hall, Kentucky Opera, El Paso Opera, Summer Opera Theater, Bel Cantanti Opera, Amarillo Opera, Crested Butte Opera, Portland Opera To Go, Opera Southwest, Opera Theater of Northern Virginia, Concert Royal, Ash Lawn Opera, Bay View Music Festival, and Seagle Music Colony.
Dr. Collins is currently on the voice faculty at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and maintains a private voice studio at the National Opera Center in New York City where he teaches singers of all skill levels including those who perform on Broadway and at the Metropolitan Opera. He has a passion for vocal instruction and is dedicated to the success of each individual student. Dr. Collins keeps an active record of each student’s progress, vocal exercises, repertoire, performances, and personal goals. He is a member of the College Music Society, the American Guild of Musical Artists, the National Association of Teachers of Singing, Pi Kappa Lambda, and Opera America.

Justin Pollinger is a vocal coach, singer, performer, and educator based out of Jersey City, NJ.
During his high school years, Justin discovered his passion for music and education. Kenneth Brown, his former choral teacher, and mentor recognized Justin's untapped potential. He taught him the fundamentals of choral conducting, vocal technique, music theory, ear training and repertoire selection. Justin was a member of the award-winning Edison High School Choi
Justin has spent 14 years studying under some of the best vocal coaches in New York and New Jersey, including Sarah Bachman Krieger (Manhattan School of Music, The Juilliard School), Steven Schnurman (The Juilliard School) and; Katherine Wessinger (University of Michigan). He currently studies under Melissa Perry (Westminster Choir College, Temple, and post-graduate work included 750 hours with Maestro Vittorio Rosetta of La Scala) While doing studies at Westminster Choir College, he studied with Tenor Eric Rieger (Eastman School of Music).
Justin founded and directed The A Cappella Choir of Middlesex County. After a successful first year and a full-length album, The A Cappella Choir sang at Carnegie Hall for the premiere of Eric Whitacre's electronic opera "Paradise Lost: Shadows and Wings"
Justin was the head of the choral department at the New Dover United Methodist Church in Edison, NJ. He directed and musically directed production's of The Rocky Horror Show at the Villagers Theater in Somerset, which subsequently moved to The Den Nightclub and ran for 2 consecutive years.
Justin has organized, directed and performed in fundraisers for the Edison high school Choral program, the program that first honed his raw talent and a place that to this day he still can call a home.
As a performer, Justin was seen as a backup singer in the Bryan Hansen band. He has participated in theater all over NJ and is frequently hired for studio session work. He recently contributed backing vocals for Mike Wells' upcoming third studio album.
Justin has been teaching privately since 2007 (Justin Pollinger Vocal Studio). His Students have been accepted to some of the top music programs in the country including Westminster Choir College, Boston Conservatory, Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, Oberlin Conservatory, Mason Gross School School of the Arts, The Hart School and AMDA.

I have taught Master Classes and Intensive Workshops in the Paul Taylor style throughout the nation, as well as teaching Vaganova Ballet at the Joffrey Ballet School. I have taught in numerous public schools through teaching residencies with Rioult Dance Company and Education In Dance. I believe these experiences have taught me how to assess individuals quickly and provide clear feedback in a positive and supportive way.
My teaching style is energetic, and focused on the personal experience each dancer is having, while giving direct and clear feedback. My goal is to help students reach their art

Glenn English is also a director/writer/producer working with Mystik Films, based in New York City. He has an MA in dramatic theory and criticism from Hunter College, has been a theater professor for CUNY and is a recipient of the John Golden Award. He has directed a good number of stage plays off and off-off broadway for a variety of organizations over the years. Glenn was the artistic director of Muse of Fire Theater Company for five years, the creator of the Sirens Festival which produced original plays by women writers. He also produced a series of plays for young audiences with the Starlight Foundation which grants wishes for terminally and chronically ill children.

My name is Kyla and I am currently a working actress and substitute teacher. I am on a webseries that just won a pilot competition, I just wrapped a play and start rehearsals for another one in June, and I have done a number of other live shows, short films, and webseries. I have taught theater, I substitute teach, currently, and I have babysat and tutored. I am also an alumni of the University of Southern California (BA) - one of the top universities in the US with one of the best theater (and film) schools! My performance credits include Thomas Marek's show NOLA, the sound art/tap performance Homöostep, the Tap Ahead Festival, and Daniel Luka's T.A.P. My current main project is Neosole, which explores tap as a music instrument, as a full member of the rhythm section, not just soloing as a gimmick on top of the music, but being fully integrated, comping and providing a foundation for the musical context.
I have been invited to teach at renowned facilities such as tanzhaus nrw, tap club, and Rebeltanz, and to be a tap dancer in residence at Thomas Marek's Studio Footprints.
My artistic works have been featured in publications such as Average Art, The Tap Love Tour Podcast, What Moves You, and Not Random Art.
I first started tap dancing at the age of 10 under the direction of my Mom.
I consider myself a musician, and the tap shoes are my instrument. My style is deeply rooted in the aesthetic of jazz music and heavily shaped by playing in numerous jam sessions around Europe and New York City, however, my art transcends the boundaries of genres. It is merely a tool to create the most genuine and sophisticated expression possible. A catalyst to explore art as an extension of the human experience.
I call myself a tap dance musician because neither dance nor music could exist without the other. However, I don't move to look a certain way, I move to sound a certain way.
Like many of my students, I grew up in a small town (mine was in Idaho) before the acting bug bit. I learned to love auditioning early, earning acceptance into Interlochen Arts Academy, the top high school performing arts boarding school in the country at age 15. After thriving there, I was accepted into a handful of top college theatre programs, ultimately choosing to study at Fordham University in New York City, where I graduated summa cum laude. S
