Brancato is a champion of creative and conceptual performance. She participated in the Guggenheim’s marathon performance of Satie’s Vexations along with Christian Wolff, Philip Corner, David Del Tredici, and Joshua Rifkin, all four of whom performed in John Cage’s 1963 legendary premiere of the work. With her passion for programming both traditional and avant-garde music in thought-provoking ways, Brancato receives great acclaim from audiences: “I am still reeling from Nicole’s recital,” said a Metropolitan Opera Guild board member, “The way she played … will stay with me forever.” In addition to her solo career, she is a key member of two unconventional chamber ensembles: Audible Abstraction - a bold new music trio - and 2Squared - a dynamic piano duo. In all of her endeavors, Brancato creates a connective, intellectual, and provocative experience for her audiences.
Brancato won multiple competitions during her career, most recently winning the Hunter Symphony’s Aria and Concerto competition with Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G. She holds an M.A. in piano performance from Hunter College in New York City and a B.M. in piano performance from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA. She graduated summa cum laude from both institutions and was awarded the Benno Lee Prize at Hunter for an outstanding Master’s Recital. She is a member of the American College of Musicians’ Piano Guild and has studied with the likes of Geoffrey Burleson and William Wolfram. She has over 10 years of teaching experience, specializing in piano, composing and arranging, and music theory.

I can help any student to sing with freedom, confidence, and expression.
I teach piano students of all different ages and experience levels. I studied classical piano for 20 years. I can teach students to read music and pursue classical excellence, to learn how to play contemporary music using chord sheets, or both depending on the goals and preference of the student.

In 2013 EMI Classics released my first solo album „Tadeusz - piano”, which includes works by Scarlatti, Schumann, Liszt, Prokofiev and virtuoso transcriptions by Vladimir Horowitz. The album received excellent reviews from critics: „Whoever likes great piano music and virtuosity will not be disappointed after listening to Tadeusz. A splendid debut!” (Stanislaw Dybowski), „His future career of a virtuoso is certain, the instrument sounds beautiful in his hands, in a rounded tone, the lightness and proficiency of difficult parts inspires jealousy, not only recognition.” (Kacper Miklaszewski).
My discography includes solo album „Tadeusz - piano” recorded for EMI classisc, „Harmony of he Struggle” which includes a world premiere recording of Piano Concerto by Marcin Błażewicz, who dedicated the work to Tadeusz and his recent album „Eugeniusz Morawski Songs” with complete songs by Eugeniusz Morawski, recorded with mezzosoprano Agnieszka Rehlis. The album received a nomination for Fryderyk 2015 - award of the Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry.
Upon returning, my interest in jazz grew immensely and I studied diligently with drummers Vinnie Sperrazza and Dan Weiss, and vibraphonist Tommy Mattioli. After years of intensive study and performing I began teaching in 2010. I have toured the U.S multiple times with different ensembles and also compose my own music for quintet.
