Native speaker (originally from Cuba). I have a Bachelor in Art History and Spanish Literature from University of Havana, Cuba. Awarded excellence in grammar and creative writing. I have experience teaching Spanish to students of very young ages to adults. All ages welcome. Lessons are customized and catered to the needs/goals of each student. Learning a language should be a joyful experience and one that will be a positive change in your life. Practicing conversation is always the best way to learn a language, specially having the opportunity to talk with a native Spanish speaker.
About Yali
Once I moved to New York I participated in an internship at Victor de Souza Company and I was quickly hired for the position of Production Manager and began assisting Mr. De Souza in executing and coordinating fashion shows.
As an artist and designer I feel more inclined towards education than working in the fashion industry. I feel great joy teaching and this would be a wonderf
Sometimes I have been approached by people who, although they do not want to pursue a career in fashion or art, want advice on how customize their image. I can help you to express your individuality and embrace your freedom.
As a designer I have also collaborated producing the costume designs for plays like: "Post-Plástica", Museo del Barrio, NY (2012) and "Schwanze-Beast", Vermont Performance Lab, Vermont (2015).
In 2015 I released the film-documentary, "Normal Is Good (I like America and America likes me)" at Gene Siskel Film Center, Chicago. "All the things she says" is my most recent solo exhibition at Galería de la Biblioteca Pública Rubén Martínez Villena, Havana, Cuba (2017). I was selected as part of 2017 NYFA Immigrant Artist Mentoring Program for Performing and Literary Arts, New York Foundations for the Arts, NY, US.
My knowledge of art and design and my international perspective, are elements that enrich my approach to education.

Hi! My name is Kate and I've been teaching Spanish for more than 4 years. I have DELE certificate (Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language). I taught in private schools and online. Also I had some experience of translation and I combined 2 jobs (translator and teacher) for 3 years.
I'm from Ukraine so my native languages are Ukrainian and Russian but I started learning Spanish when I was 9. I studied in Spanish school so I have been learning it for almost 20 years and I keep on learning new things. I've had a lot of practice with people from Spain and Latin America so I can explain you the difference between these languages.
I travelled to Spain some times and I worked in one of Spanish speaking countries in Africa. Also I worked in a Spanish company in Kiev for one year. Now I'm 27 and currently I live in the USA. I use Spanish every day and I continue doing my favorite work - teaching people.

Hi!
I am part Dominican and Spanish is my mother tongue. Spanish as well as hispanic culture is therefore very dear to me which reflects on the content of my lessons. I customize my classes to each student and their needs and interests. I will make sure that each class is spent towards reaching your set objectives and goals. I always welcome feedback and suggestions.
About Gabriela
To tell you a bit more about myself, my mother is Dominican/American and my father is Lebanese, but I was born and raised in Paris, France, which explains that I speak French, English, Italian and Spanish fluently. From a young age, I have had a deep appreciation and passion for languages, as well as other cultures. I moved to NYC to attend Columbia University, where I studied International Relations. I started tutoring on the side while in college and absoluty love working with children. Since graduating, I work in tv/film production where the hours are always changing, which would allow me to continue tutoring. I am a social, personable and responsible person, who cares about the needs and interests of whoever I work with. I customize my classes from student to student, and am always open to feedback and suggestions.
