Great teacher for my 8yr old daughter. He is patient and explains things I'm a way that gets through to my kid. Highly recommended!

Phenomenal teacher! Rob simplifies advance techniques and organizes your lesson based on your personal goals. My lessons have been very informative but still always fun! I’ve improved significantly since our lessons began and have received guidance on how to make the most of my practice time on my own as well.

During this quarantine, having my lessons virtually is such a light during these challenging times, and they’re just as enjoyable as in person. Rob really is easygoing and has a great sense of humor!

Dan was an awesome instructor - even after our first lesson I came away with a ton of actionable ways to practice and improve my playing.

I started my mission to learn how to play piano with zero prior knowledge or experience with Dan and I could not be more happy with my results thus far. Dan is an expert piano player there is no question about that. But more impressive is his ability to teach, having no prior exposure to piano lessons Dan was extremely helpful in introducing me to new topics and ideas that have helped me to improve as a piano player. He works based off of your own goals and is dedicated to teaching what you want to learn as well as what is necessary to learn in order to meet your goals. He is very flexible in scheduling lessons which is huge for me having a job who's schedule changes regularly. I will continue to take lessons from Dan in the future and highly recommend from my experience for anyone just getting into piano although I know he works with much more talented and experienced students as well.

You already know music theory, the only work is to organize all that knowledge. I am going to help you recognize and understand all that unconscious knowledge in a very easy, fun and yet very effective way.

About Federico

I am a young conductor with an established conducting technique, one that relies on my training with orchestras and choirs. My passion for music and for my students is palpable, and my personal rapport with ensembles is noteworthy – kindness and humor are pillars to me, both on and off the podium.

I was lucky enough to have Federico as a conducting teaching assistant and to work with him as members of the Temple University Concert Choir. Fede brought so much light and personality to the choir along with all of his musical knowledge. He truly helped me immensely with advanced choral conducting and would break down ways for me to understand all the technique behind it. My favorite thing is that even though he knows so much about music, he is humble in everything he does and is always willing to learn from his students!
Nick
Federico is a phenomenal teacher. He has the ability to teach the technical skills of conducting and how to interpret the emotions of a piece of music flawlessly, never sacrificing one over the other. Federico’s raw energy, effortless talent, and passion made me WANT to learn how to conduct.
Kyle
As someone who wants to go into choral conducting at some point, I am incredibly happy to have shared many experiences with Fede in multiple classes during my time at Temple University, as he was a TA in both my intermediate and advanced conducting courses. What makes him an outstanding teacher is his wonderful personality and his passion for conducting. Every time I had a lab for my conducting class, it was so nice to be able to work with someone I could learn many techniques from, including learning to open up more with my conducting skills, such as expression. In addition to working well with me in my classes, he has served as an overall excellent role model for the students at Temple University, as his presence alone is enough to put smiles on people's faces every day. Although, I have not had Fede for classical guitar, ear training, or music theory lessons, I am sure he is just as wonderful in those subjects. With that being said, you will not be disappointed with your experience. :)

They say that "reading is fundamental," and we all sure get a step up in the world from being literate, and learning to write and to read.... But before we learn to read, we need to know our ABC's, and music has ITs own set of basic ABC's! Once you know these, everything in music becomes a lot more understandable and easy to work with - as we begin forming the words and sentences of music, with our musical ABC's!

IT's not rocket science, and IT's not differential calculus.... IT really is as easy as ABC and 1, 2, 3! :-)

About Nolan

Nolan is an international music educator from NYC who has taught and performed in the US, India, Thailand, and Europe. He encourages creativity and improvisation in all of his students, combined with a well-rounded understanding of musical basics.

We hired Brian to work with our barely 3 year old to play the drums we got him for his birthday. He loves it! We don’t have any grand aspirations for him, but he likes to bang around and we wanted to give him some direction to see if he latched on to it. Our main objective is that he has fun. Brian is GREAT with him and he looks forward to it every week. 10/10!

"It has been a few years since our daughter, Michaela, took piano and music theory classes from Howard Richman. However, hardly a day goes by when she is not using something that she has learned from him. Whether she is writing a song, composing music, producing a track, playing the piano, singing, rehearsing, performing, etc…it always involves some aspect of her lessons with Howard. She is always referencing material from her classes with him. The enjoyment and confidence that Howard instills in his students, through his methods of teaching, truly must last a lifetime. Going to Howard was one of the best decisions that we have made regarding Michaela's career. In fact, as it turns out, it was a life changing experience for her. Needless to say, we have the very highest recommendation for Howard Richman."

Why You Should Learn (At Least a Little) Music Theory

I’m here to convince you that learning a little about how music works is one of the most important skills you can develop and should absolutely be part of your daily practice routine. Here are five reasons w …
