Patricia is an AMAZING teacher.

Personality: She is very welcoming, warm, funny and just a positive person to be around which bodes very well when it comes to learning and stepping outside of your comfort zone.

Knowledge: Just by looking at her credentials you know that she has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to music. However, her greatest gift is being able to relay all of that information to someone who may not have a very strong musical background. She is also very adept at making connections making the learning process fun and understandable.

Lessons: I have been taking lessons with Patricia for months now for voice. The greatest part of the lessons are that she does not only focus on improving your voice on a technical level. She helps with mental preparation, ear training, music theory and great deal of other things which helps students to become more well rounded. I believe this also helps students to grow in their area of study much faster.

Misc: Patricia greatly encourages her students to perform. If you are not comfortable going to an open mic, Patricia hosts a performance event for her students. This provides a safe and secure environment for students to express themselves an apply what they have learned in lessons.

I recently performed and while nervous the mental preparation that I described above helped me to "put on a show". I will continue taking lessons with Patricia and I am grateful for everything I have learned and experience in my time.

Patricia is an excellent teacher for all levels. I have worked with her teaching three year old beginner drum group classes, all the way to masterclasses for college students at CUNY on techniques to use when improvising in complex time signatures. She can teach anyone! Patricia makes the lessons fun all the while you gain inspiration. I also really enjoyed the concert she hosted for her students in the Village. Sign up, you won't be disappointed.

Within a few lessons you will feel empowered to communicate: speaking and understanding. Reading and writing skills, grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary will also be addressed as needed.I teach conversational Spanish, SAT subject test in Spanish, CLEP Spanish, AP Spanish language.Within a few lessons you will feel I have the age-appropriate resources, games and creative ideas to instill your love for learning Spanish and getting to know the Spanish culture.

About Carina
I love teaching all ages and levels because I enjoy seeing students learn and achieve personal, social or professional goals. Everybody can learn if I respect the student's needs, pace and learning style, and if I tap into his/ her interests and strengths. A comprehensive approach that includes speaking, reading, writing and listening is necessary, however I focus primarily on communication . I provide knowledge, fun, creativity and flexibility to guarantee a successful pleasant experience for all students.
I am a native from Argentina. I moved to the US in 1996, therefore I can relate to the feelings involved in learning a foreign language. I live a bilingual life raising my daughter who is 14 and my son who is 6 years old . I travel to Argentina once or twice a year. I teach conversational Spanish, SAT subject test in Spanish,
CLEP Spanish, AP Spanish language.

I have a BA in Scenic Arts from the National School of scenic Arts in Caracas Venezuela.
The dynamic of my lessons are art based.

About Oscar
As a Director, my proposal always takes a reflection on the text as starting point: an analytical commitment to the author's language as it comes expressed in its structure and stylistic features. In the sense I illustrate it, it means to exert an interpretative freedom within the boundaries of what Roland Barthes called the semantic plural of a text.

Given a special interest in the experimentation through language I have restrained the scope of my reflection to the so-called theater of the absurd. In my work on that genre I have set as an aesthetic goal, to bring what was thought as a mainly dialogistic and situational language, to a higher level of semiotic interplay. In that regard, my aim is to integrate entire scenic materials (including lighting, set, and more abstract element such as rhythm) as intrusive and/or commentate resour
ces to the sources given within the text itself.

I have never been worried about plots that give an illusion that one "understands" just because the plot imposes an order that is similar to life; where the word "dramatic development" is implicit, creating a unique sensation for the spectators. As Luciano Berio said about his splendid music, "the experience of not being completely sure of what one listens to, should be considered inseparable to the work." That's to say, not all have to be comprehended by the spectator. And as a dramatist friend says, "sometimes, not even the author, who writes, understands." It is about leaving marks, milestones, footsteps that bring a hidden sense, leaving a perceptible and therefore, terrible, ineffable image. A teacher I had at the university said in class, "Art is not about questions and answers, Art is

I have been teaching Spanish for well over 20 years. My classes are very dynamic, creative and full of enthusiasm, with lots of fun material for adults, and children as well. Although I target the four skills for learning a language properly, I focused my classes on speaking; my greatest satisfaction is to see my students speak fluently in their second language. You'll have lots of fun, will learn lots of things, including grammar without noticing it , and will have a ton of fun!!! HAPPY LEARNING!!!
