I am a former standard certified high school biology teacher as well as a medical student. As a result, I have up-to-date experiences as both a teacher and a student. It is important to be able to stand in a student's shoes as a tutor and I am able to do just that. I have high success rates and I tutor my students on how to manage their time effectively, because it is the not the quantity, but rather the quality of studying that affects a student's grades.

I have majored in Biology at MIT, where I took many courses on molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, organic chemistry, biochemistry, and human diseases. As a result, I can help students with biology in many levels, including I also conducted research on cancer and tissue engineering at the Massachusetts General Hospital, the National Institutes of Health, MIT, and Harvard-MIT HST.

Because of the extensive background in biology, I am able to break down complex concepts for the younger students and am able to also help college students. Having worked with many students, I understand that students have different demands from school and their schedule. As a result, I first meet with the students to determine and adapt my lessons accordingly. I also talk with the teachers as needed.

I have a BS in Biology with a Biomedical Concentration, and I just love biological concepts and want to share the love with others! Whether you are just starting a class and want to start getting ahead on concepts, or are in the thick of it and have run into some things that require clarification, I am happy to help! I tutor foundational/introductory biology for high school and college students, in addition to specific subjects such as anatomy, genetics, cellular/molecular biology, ecology, evolution, mycology, animal behavior, and more!
