Fay is such an amazing teacher! I got into Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School thanks to her. Best Teacher I've had, she helps train your voice and goes through the vocal anatomy so you understand techniques such as proper breathing, posture, coordination, grounding, acting, diction...etc. I've been her student for about a year three years now and I have to say that my voice has improved so much as a performer all thanks to her! If you get the chance, at least take a class, you will not regret it!

All ages/levels, both male and female. Tailor lessons specifically to what student needs and wishes to work on.

In addition to developing proper vocal technique, stamina and musicality, a strong focus is placed on storytelling, and how to most effectively convey the backbone of a musical theatre piece through a rooted understanding of the lyrics.

About Alex
Having grown up with a father who ran a guitar shop and a professional singer for a mother, music was just another language to communicate with in our house. Learning to speak through music taught me how to focus and develop new skills, which helped me in school with everything that I have ever had to learn.

In 5th grade I started playing bass guitar at home, trombone in the school music program, and private lessons for piano. This exposed me to a wide range of music very early on.

When I was a teenager, I was the youngest person to study at Victor Wooten's first bass/nature camp in 2000, a week long master class with some of the world's most decorated musicians in Montgomery Bell State Park outside of Nashville. I played in local bands in the Berkshires, wrote music for Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, and sang such roles as Val
jean in Les Miserables and John Wilkes Booth in Assassins, as well played in orchestras across the county. I performed as both a bass player and a vocalist in the Massachusetts All-State Jazz Ensemble at Symphony Hall in Boston.

I moved to New York to get a degree in Theater as a singer and actor in 2004. Since then I've been fortunate enough to work in NY orchestras, cabarets, theater and national TV, tour the world with a variety of musical artists, work as a studio musician recording albums for songwriters, and develop musical education programs. Most recently I curated and taught the bass guitar curriculum for Yousician, a Helsinki-based music app with 25 million users in 154 countries worldwide. That has been an invaluable experience, working alongside educators and programmers in one of the world's leading countries in both education and technology.

Music has been a life-directing guide for me; from the wonder of discovery to the mastery of new and exciting techniques, music has always been a sort of way for us to communicate intimately, yet on a universal scale. To pass the same experience on to others is such a gift, and one I value greatly.

"When words fail, music speaks."

So, let's start talking!

Alex is an excellent teacher who has helped me to understand not only where I can make improvements, but also given me a wide range of techniques I can use to do so. His knowledge of breathing techniques is particularly impressive, as his understanding of the impact of nerves and anxiety on the vocal. Alex's teaching style enables him to convey everything from the simple to complicated in an easily understandable, highly effective and very friendly way. I have only had a few lessons with Alex, but have made huge strides already. Very highly recommended!

So far my experience with Alex is going extremely well, within the past few months of taking vocal lessons for the first time Alex has given me a plethora of ways to view and appreciate music to help me grow as a singer. His insightful analogies will not only make you chuckle at times but will actually enhance your knowledge of music as well.

I highly recommend Adam as a voice teacher.
My 10 year old daughter Spencer has been wanting to take a lesson for so long she's always singing Disney songs around the house, and finally I thought, why not give it a go.
When I first met Adam his smile was infectious, and I could already tell he knew what he was doing, and this was the right choice.
He sat down at the piano we have at home, and began doing scale work, within minutes time, I could already see that Emily was already enjoying the lesson.
They worked learning "For the First Time In Forever" together, and Emily now sings both parts, and very well/on pitch might I add.
Spencer takes lessons from Adam bi weekly, and is always anxious for him to come and share his knowledge with her.
I couldn't recommend him enough!

I had never had a voice lesson before in my life, and wanted to try this out as I have always been interested in singing.
I had one lesson with Adam, and now take lessons with him multiple times a month. He has not only helped me gain confidence in my vocal ability, but continues to provide fantastic training, and I feel my voice getting stronger with each lesson. I had no idea that I had an upper register, nor did I understand what that meant prior to working with Adam.
I can proudly say I am finding my voice more and more everyday.
He has shown me that anyone can truly be a singer.
Thank you Adam for your patience and time with me!

Singing is a beautiful art form that can be accessed by everyone. When taking lessons with me, we will be able to explore all of the beautiful intricacies of the voice and how it can be used to be the most expressive instrument.

With the knowledge that my degrees in voice granted me, I will be able to guide you in a safe yet encouraging manner that will lead you to success in whatever genre you aspire to perform.

About Lyle
I am a professional singer, pianist, and teacher of the two. I have a Bachelor of Music degree from California State University Long Beach, and a Master of Music degree from University of California Los Angeles. During my study of those two degrees, I had marvelous teaching from some of the finest pianists, coaches, and voice teachers around. I can teach you how to sing with true passion, ease, and intent.

I began my study of the piano at the age of 7, my mother being my first teacher. I started on Alfred Piano Books, and still strongly believe in that same curriculum. From there I began to study classical composers like Chopin, Beethoven, Clementi, and Mozart. Although my love of classical music runs deep to my core, I love jazz, pop, and gospel music. I am happy to assist the learning of any style, anything that YOU are passionate for
. :)

With me, you can expect to make weekly progress in your instrument of choice. I am a dedicated performer and an even more dedicated teacher. To me, the two go hand in hand.

Please allow me the opportunity in teaching you and in turn I will give you all the knowledge I possess.

Lyle has a singing voice that will stun and amaze you when he sings in front of you. That will immediately put you at ease and motivate you to sing better using his techniques. His classical training has proven to be a great foundation for teaching me effective ways to understand, use and improve my voice. After 2 lessons I can already see a big difference in my singing abilities and I always learn many new things at each lesson. Lyle has a really open, friendly and non judgemental demeanor and this helped a lot with my nervousness. I can't wait for my next private lesson and would encourage anyone to book him for Broadway, classical and pop singing lessons.

Marina is a natural teacher. She loves to share what she has learned about music and singing. She has a gift for sight reading, and memorizing, which she can do almost always at first read. Everyone in her studio has mutual respect, including her. She has been my student, but now, she is my teacher. With an open mind, she welcomes the chance to learn from others, including her students. She is highly qualified, with a BA in Music from California State University Long Beach, a Performing Arts degree from University of Southern California, a summer with Music Academy of the West, as well as the Merola and Adler programs with San Francisco Opera. An excellent performer, she gives 100% to all her roles, no matter how small, and helps other cast members and crew whenever she can. I take the time to get to know each student, their favorite genres of music, their experience singing, and assess their ability at the beginning of the first lesson. I incorporate breathing techniques and anatomical understanding from the start, ensuring that my students will be better prepared to sing comfortably and correctly. I keep the atmosphere light, allowing for personalities to shine, and most importantly, I give them tons of encouragement reassuring them that they are among family. One of the most important aspects of a voice class, is to make your student(s) feel comfortable, cheer each other on, and respect one another as individuals with individual gifts.

About Deanna
Hey there! I'm very passionate about singing and creating music, and I have been since I was a little girl. I'm a graduate from LaGuardia Performing Arts HS (Fame), where I pursued classical voice, and I am currently a Music Education major at Long Island University Brooklyn. I am studying jazz and I have a passion for Musical Theater and voice over. I am also the Worship Director at my church!

My goal is not only to help my students reach their full potential in vocal quality, but to give them all of the tools and techniques needed to go above and beyond their own expectations. Many times we assume that because someone has so much talent, they are using it properly. That isn't always the case. I am a firm believer in teaching my students how to breathe and use their diaphragm properly, and the results have been a clear, strong, and sus
tained sound with no strain or discomfort! I promise, you will see results after your first lesson with me💖

I am open to just about any type of music, and I encourage my students to try new things and find what they love in singing! I have worked with all ages as a private voice teacher and as a vocal coach/music director for musicals. I hope to speak to you soon!

About Sean
I am a singer, composer and actor and I am also currently a student at Mason Gross School of the Arts in Rutgers University-New Brunswick studying vocal music education and music composition. My performance experience includes musicals and operas with regional, collegiate, and community companies including the Princeton Festival, BergenPAC, Rhino Theatre, Opera at Rutgers, and the Grange Playhouse.

In addition to being a private voice teacher, I have also served as the vocal coach and/or music director for various musicals around New Jersey. I love these experiences because I have the opportunity to work with lots of different voices and help people develop musically while also having a lot of fun.

Every voice is unique, and my hope is for me to help get yours to what it truly can be! I am of the belief that everyone can sing, and have
fun while doing it!
