Very patient, polite, amusing and explains clearly. Excellent teacher over all. :D
John is a brilliant teacher in my opinion for the following reasons:- He seems to be able to identify my own goals better than me- Laid back but still motivational- His ability to explain some of the patterns and relationships, particularly in the way he has made me think about the minor/major scales and how to use them together has been a huge help to me- Everything we do has a point that makes sense and keeps the lessons inspirational and funJohn's relaxed style, encouragement and ability to push me exactly where I need to go really works for me and I would definitely recommend him to anyone with a genuine interest in learning how to really become a better guitarist.

ound recording and reproduction is an electrical or mechanical inscription and re-creation of sound waves, such as spoken voice, singing, instrumental music, or sound effects. The two main classes of sound recording technology are analog recording and digital recording. Acoustic analog recording is achieved by a small microphone diaphragm that can detect changes in atmospheric pressure (acoustic sound waves) and record them as a graphic representation of the sound waves on a medium such as a phonograph (in which a stylus senses grooves on a record). In magnetic tape recording, the sound waves vibrate the microphone diaphragm and are converted into a varying electric current, which is then converted to a varying magnetic field by an electromagnet, which makes a representation of the sound as magnetized areas on a plastic tape with a magnetic coating on it. Analog sound reproduction is the reverse process, with a bigger loudspeaker diaphragm causing changes to atmospheric pressure to ...

Why don't my recordings sound like that? We have all asked the question. A phenomenally produced record has a certain shimmer to it; an airy, open feeling as if the music just floats effortlessly through the air. The Kick is punchy and thick. The Snare sounds like someone is snapping an oak branch in concert hall. The Vocal seems to just sit in the mix perfectly over the defined yet MASSIVE Bass part. There are three main components to a great recording: 1) An amazing performance 2) high quality equipment 3) Sound Engineering skill.
The first two criteria are out of my hands (I will say that getting a good take will ALWAYS be better than doing a great edit. I will also say that high quality does not always mean high price. That being said, when you get past a certain cost threshold on things like Microphones, Preamps, and A/D Coverters, it will make your mixing significantly easier as you will be dealing with a more 'natural sounding' raw file).
The third component, skill, can ...
