Mary Elizabeth is absolutely wonderful! My daughter who has been taking lessons with her since the begin of the summer says that she is extremely fun, kind, patient and organized, always bringing new beautiful songs to learn that she loves. I am so happy and very excited about this singing journey for her with Mary Elizabeth.

My teen daughter was taking in-person voice lessons locally (Seattle) before the pandemic. Once everything moved to on-line, we realized the door was open to find an on-line teacher who lived anywhere! We were so happy to find Mary Elizabeth who has musical theater experience and has been on the stage in NYC! My daughter has a passion for musical theater and she needed a voice teacher who understands the challenges of learning to sing well while also belting out the notes. Mary Elizabeth has a very warm, positive and supportive style that has really has helped my daughter not only learn, but also give her more confidence. We highly recommend Mary Elizabeth! You will not be disappointed!

Amazing teacher! My 6 year old daughter has been taking piano lessons with Matthew for more than a 1 1/2 years and is always asking when she will have her next piano lesson. He is a very patient teacher and very knowledgeable of the subject. Matthew has a very kid-friendly personality and now, my daughter has been taking a few singing lessons once in a while, too.

I’m Jacob, a Juilliard-educated baritone singing and teaching around the world. I currently offer remote lessons from my home studio outside Washington, DC. I teach consistent, confident technique in any style—classical to contemporary—and welcome students of all skill levels and backgrounds. My only expectations are clear communication, dedication, and a commitment to vocal happiness and health.

Jacob is a gifted teacher. While my voice was good before, Jacob's teaching made it superb. His insights on the anatomy of singing and sensitive corrections helped me shape my voice into a strong but nuanced instrument. His teaching style is good-humored and kind, never judgmental.
Reggie
Jacob is an all-around incredible voice teacher. He’s patient, prepared, and able to translate music and voice theory into accessible language for the novice (which was my case). As a working professional artist, he brought real-time experience into the lessons, and then enjoyed and learned so much from watching him maintain his craft while also teaching and coaching. It’s worth mentioning that Jacob is kind and funny. I highly recommend working with Jacob as a teacher and/or coach. My time spent with him was definitely worth the investment.
Gemma Wilson
Jacob is an excellent teacher. He opened my eyes to my ingrained bad habits, like tension, and we did a lot of helpful exercises to help remedy that. He's a very flexible teacher and open to suggestion; I wanted to sing more confidently in duets and he made that a part of our lessons. But for the lessons where I wasn't sure what I wanted, Jacob provided challenging exercises for me to attempt. I still use the valuable exercises that he taught me.

I've been a professional singer and actress for over twelve years, performing on Broadway in Lincoln Center's Tony-winning Revival of "South Pacific" and touring the county with Rob McClure and Anika Larson in the First National Tour of "Avenue Q." I have an MFA in Performing Arts from Savannah College of Art and Design, graduated summa cum laude, and was the only female recipient of the Presidential Scholarship for Vocal Performance. My BA is in Arts and Education from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.

I teach all levels of singing and am familiar with different styles, like contemporary musical theatre, legit, belting, and pop/ rock. As an actor who sings I think it's important to connect with the text and let the vocal technique support those choices for the most compelling performance. My passion is creating audition cuts and crafting them into bite-sized yet complete scenes. Audition technique is key if you want to be in shows because someone has to cast you first. A-mazing! She’s an awesome mentor! Her approach to singing is brilliant in the sense that she helps you explore yourself, your strengths and areas you could work on to improve. She helps you find and utilize your voice in a way that makes a unique artist. She digs in right to the foundation of singing (vocals) and performing. I am glad to have found her! And to add up, I never had a dull moment with her with her sense of humor and caring approach!

I want my students to develop a reliable technique so that they can accomplish anything that they would want to perform. I think technique is the most reliable base you can have for a lasting and enjoyable vocal career. I am interested in what you want to learn as well as your vocal aspirations. I cannot wait to work with you!‚Äč

For students that are younger (elementary-middle school) I recommend 30-45 minutes.

"I love Francisca’s patience, openness and expertise with vocals and playing the keys. I enjoyed our lively and very down to earth session and learning about breath and vocal health. She gave me tips since I lived in a Nevada which is a very dry place and ways I could improve my vocals in that climate.
I recommend anyone who is looking for a straightforward approach to technique to get lessons from Francisca! She is amazing!"

"Mrs. Miller was so awesome to work with, and I see my time with her as pivotal to where I am now. I worked on a range or music from pop, to classical, to Musical Theatre, while I was with her and enjoyed every second. Not only did she work on my singing and vocal technique, but she work on performing as well, we work on the portrayal of emotion and character and how to bring it all together in the best way for the audience. One of my favourite things about Mrs. Miller is that she absolutely knew what she was talking about and if she ever encounter something she didn't know, she made it her mission to figure it out whether is was how to play the piano part in the music or the pronunciation of a foreign language I was singing in. Another awesome word I'd use to characterise Mrs. Miller is efficient, she understands that time in lessons is limited and remains focused on the task at hand while knowing that stopping at some point may be necessary for growth and to fix problems. Overall I would say that Mrs. Miller is one of the finest voice instructors I've worked with!!"
