Envious of non-native Korean people speaking the language to friends and family on streets, bar, and restaurants? I certainly can relate. As someone who learned multiple languages, I can empathize with your situation and teach you lessons I have learned myself from learning different languages and cultures. As someone who grew up in both United States and Korea, I can teach you not only the formal grammars but more importantly pick out what is most important in USEFUL Korean - ones you can actually use on an everyday basis! If this sounds good to you, whether you're a beginner/intermediate/expert in the language, feel free to reach out to me!

I have experience of teaching SAT to high school students, college students as an engineering school TA (Boston & Brown University), and even adults teaching Korean!

I grew up in Korea for the most of my life. Although I live in the states and use English on a daily, I believe that I am a true bilingual since I use both languages on a daily bases.
I can help with every day conversational language to grammar and literature.

While a bit humbling Alex definitely helped me fix some glaring technical issues, particularly with the bow.

She helped my 12 year old daughter prepare the Saint Saens Cello concerto (1st movement) for a small performance. My daughter played more spiritedly after her session with Alex. She was especially helpful for a specific bow technique.

I've had four lessons with Cheol Hong. I am a complete beginner and he has provided the structure, learning materials, and pronunciation correction that I was not able to ascertain with self-study. He's extremely kind and encouraging and makes learning a pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend him as a teacher.

I have been taking lessons with Instructor Cheol Hong for about a month and am very happy with my choice. I felt that his experience in the Korean workplace set himself apart from what other instructors offered, which is what influenced my decision. I am Korean-American, so I am very familiar with hearing and speaking the language, but wanted to properly learn to read and write to a more intermediate/advanced level. We both agreed it was best to start from the beginning and breeze through what I can until I hit my limit. I've also been challenged to write everyday, which has helped him gauge my level, and read newspaper articles, which are definitely way above my ability, but clearly great for improving. Instructor Cheol Hong is very patient, always makes sure you're following along/comprehending, and makes himself accessible throughout the week. I always look forward to my lessons!

I have basic but scattered language skills in Korean, and Mr. Park is very mindful of this and I'm happy with the pace and content of the lessons. I appreciate the time he takes to explain not just grammatical rules but social/pragmatic rules of usage.

I can say to my students that we will have fun, interesting classes that cover culture, formality, pronunciation, and more. I was inspired to become a Korean teacher by my love of Hanguel (Korean language), and I want to help people who want to learn about it.

I will be your encouraging teacher. I am looking forward to meeting you & helping you to develop your Korean skills.

Ms Jiny was able to tailor the lesson to meet my requirements for learning this particular language. For someone who has been out of school for the past few "decades" I'm surprised how I was able to pick up on it without spending the entire lesson asking dumb questions. She is a very good instructor that is patient, motivated, and understanding and I hope not to disappoint her.

Jiny is very nice! I had a really good first lesson with her. On the first lesson I learned some basic introductions! I bought a book that is not the one she uses but she is buying the book I have just to help me learn from it! I can tell she really wants to help me get to my goal of becoming semi-fluent in a year! I can’t wait to take more lessons!

To Whom It May Concern:

Lee Youngju taught at Jochiwon Daedong Elementary School for four years as a homeroom teacher and an English specialist. She was very dedicated and devoted to her many teachings and administrative duties as well as to her students. I have observed that Teacher Lee is a responsible and passionate teacher who has broad experience and knowledge; however, notwithstanding these qualifications, she has an open mind and observes the rules of social etiquette. I recommend Ms. Lee in the confidence that she will be a superior teacher in your school. I know that she will bring her exceptional creativity and organization to any school she teaches in.

"I have attended 4 classes in Korean for Beginners and 1 Intro to Korean conversation class. Ms. Jihye L. has a easy style and natural ability for managing a group lesson of students at different levels. She is not overly formal, and when we are lost or confused, she is in no rush but helps us get through the topic at our own speed. She explains well the details regarding grammar, verb forms, and the levels of formality or politeness, as she writes the needed words on the whiteboard behind her. I think she understands that we will not and cannot learn something new in one shot, but only through patient trial and error."

"I've had several lessons with Quinton already and I'm enjoying his open format of following a plan, but not strictly. When I'm curious about something like "What do Koreans think of ...?" or, "How do I pronounce ...?", he will take the time to answer my questions before going back to the curriculum. This format makes learning much more enjoyable for me since it's at my pace. He also provides advice, links and apps on how to study (and learn more Korean) apart from class. Highly recommend him as a teacher."

Although South Korea began shooting televised dramas back in the 1960s, K-drama only recently began catching fire in places like the United States.
