Rosdeli has studied the Voice for 5 years at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary music. Her high level of musicianship continues to lead her to successfully sing in a variety of settings, from an intimate duo to fronting Big Band. Using highly developed vocal instruction methods, Rosdeli specializes in the development and control of the voice, focusing on techniques such as breath control, resonance, and posture. Being that no two voices are the same, Rosdeli listens to each individual student's voice and chooses vocal instructions for their specific voice.

About Rosdeli

Rosdeli will help you open your throat chakra like a flower, in the way it is meant to blossom. Being around her as my teacher in this setting is more than comforting, it is soothing, it feels natural.

Her methods make SENSE. The student receives immediate feedback from their own vocal channel. With her embodied notions of what she can hear and feel, she intuitively guides you into the direction of what needs to change - so you can open up more.

She is the greatest listener and she has taught me a lot with her listening alone. She is the only person I will ever train with again. Every voice lesson I had before hers was nothing close in comparison.

my lesson with Rosdeli was one of the best experiences with the music teacher I have ever had. She blends a keen sense of intuition unique for every student with a strong foundation of a wide variety of musical training and background. She is thorough , patient, and dedicated to the success of every student. She taught me
warm ups, how to control my voice, different methods of singing, projection, music theory, and ear training.

She was absolutely fantastic with my 5 year old daughters first lesson. She had her smiling the whole time.....we are coming back next week for sure.

My first vocal teacher and the best!

Ms. Rachel was an amazing vocal teacher! We would always start off with simple and fun warm-ups, breathing techniques, and would practice singing songs from musicals. My first couple lessons she taught me how to sing I Feel Pretty from West Side Story and we both had so much fun with it! After a little while we learned Cups from Pitch Perfect and then we got into the Vaccai book and I learned a couple songs from there. Overall Ms. Rachel was the best! She even offered to Skype a lesson with me since she moved. She cared about me and always helped me improve my voice in every way she could. I love her!

Fay is such an amazing teacher! I got into Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School thanks to her. Best Teacher I've had, she helps train your voice and goes through the vocal anatomy so you understand techniques such as proper breathing, posture, coordination, grounding, acting, diction...etc. I've been her student for about a year three years now and I have to say that my voice has improved so much as a performer all thanks to her! If you get the chance, at least take a class, you will not regret it!

Semi-retired now, I have over 50 years of training as a professional tenor soloist who's performed all over the world and vocal teacher.

I'd like to pass on my knowledge to all vocalists who are either new to singing or want to train their vocal chords for classical or operatic music.

Sadly, my Chinese (Mandarin) is much better than my English, so if you can put up with that, you get complimentary Chinese lessons as a result!

My parents forced me to start singing lessons. I thought I would thoroughly hate it, but it was very easy to learn from George. I could tell he has been teaching students for ages by the way he helped me fix my head voice singing. His English isn't the best, but most of the teaching was through sound and tone, so it didn't make an impact on the learning experience.
Bob
Very patient teacher who helped me expand my upper range from G to a Bb. He also helped me (with a non operatic voice) learn how to sing Italian classics with an operatic voice.

I'm a highly trained singer and teacher in many different scopes. Musical theatre is one of my specialties, and I carry that technique and intense training over to other styles of singing such as pop, worship and gospel, country, etc. I specialize in teaching how to breath properly, firmly believing that good breathe support is the foundation in which a singer should start. Then, I build from there; focusing on how the vocal cords function and then focusing on the different registers of the voice as well as the different resonances of the voice. I build your voice from beginning to end, making sure you have a good knowledge and understanding of how your voice works, and also building it and creating muscle memory each step of the way, one important step at a time!

Debbie is, as the 5 stars indicate, the best instructor ever! She's extremely qualified and experienced as a teacher, and she's an incredible vocalist! She knows exactly how to meet you wherever you are in your voice and give you knowledge and practical training to improve. She's also incredibly kind, and it's very easy to be yourself and be vocally vulnerable with her. She's the teacher you've been searching for!

Her approach to singing is wonderful (she doesn't only teach you how to sound good but also how to act through songs) and it's really important especially if you are pursuing musical theatre. "Melanie is an absolutely incredible vocal teacher/coach. I noticed a change in my voice after just the first lesson. Her vast knowledge of the anatomy used to create vocal sounds combined with the techniques she teaches has definitely improved my voice. She taught me how to belt and showed me the difference between my belt and my mix, which was beyond helpful. She also taught me how to sing in my head voice in a healthier and more effective way. And on top of that, she has a mental library full of great song recommendations for my individual voice. Can't wait until our next lesson!"
