I have been teaching guitar for more than 15 years.
Every student is unique. We all have different ways of learning and retaining information: by rote, from a printed score, by ear, etc... Each student is interviewed and consulted to gain an understanding of how they learn most effectively and to create customized private lessons on the guitar.
For classical guitar, there again are strict technical guidelines to achieve a beautiful tone and effective movement. To supplement my private instruction, I use different method of books and others for technical training and basic music theory as they relate to the guitar.

I started taking guitar lessons online with Andrew 6 months ago as a complete beginner. I was skeptical at first of how much I would learn online and if it would be worth it. However, I can honestly say Andrew is an excellent teacher who I not only recommend for his outstanding musical knowledge and talent, but also his great teaching skills that allow him to adapt to any of his student's special requests for a class.
Anyone motivated who is willing to put in the work into practicing will love the process of learning with Andrew.

Ahmad is able to connect with his students to understand their goals and objectives with lessons. I appreciate how he is able to tailor his teaching style and method to each individual and adjust as needed. His knowledge of music is superb and his musical interests are wide. Ahmad can flex between jazz to classical guitar to the newest pop single as easily as changing radio stations.
As a classically trained musician he can not only play the music, but also knows the music theory. I look forward to my lessons every week, and I can't recommend Ahmad highly enough!"

My son loves learning guitar from Ian! He is so patient with children. His love for music is infectious. He makes my son look forward to learning each week. If you want to learn guitar... Pick Ian!"
