As a voice teacher, I want to help my students settle comfortably into their own musicality by showing them the building blocks of a solid technique, drawing particularly from the things that helped me grow as a vocalist. Jillian is great! I like how she has personalized the lesson and I’ve seen my son learn a lot in a little bit of time.

I’ve been taking lessons from Elizabeth for a few months now - I had done voice lessons growing up and am now starting to get back into singing. She has been very helpful, and I really feel like I’ve been improving quickly! She’s very knowledgeable about vocal technique and has been great about helping me strengthen my weak spots and break bad habits.

Elizabeth is a very nice and competent vocal trainer. She always encourages me to try new exercises that help me a lot to improve my singing skills. I also feel very comfortable taking classes with her, and I think that one of the basic things for me when it comes to learn how to sing, a nice atmosphere is necessary to grow faster. She is also helping me with my English pronunciation. I would definitely recommend her.

Elizabeth is an amazing tutor. She is very friendly and funny and makes you feel comfortable doing all kinds of exercise. She collaborated with me on what I wanted/needed to work on most. She helped me improve singing a song that I chose through many elaborated techniques. I learned a lot even though I only took two lessons (because I left the country after that).
I have over ten years of professional experience and have graduated from one of the top conservatories on a full ride scholarship

Stephen was awesome! He created a light fun atmosphere that made me feel really comfortable being a beginner. and also is very truthful about my vocal potential which I really appreciated. I really enjoyed the space it was very peaceful. I would highly recommend Stephen to anyone who's interested in taking vocal lessons for the first time or someone who has tons of experienced. Steven is very attentive he really breaks down every detail about your voiceso you can recognize if there is a problem and correct it I really appreciated that.

Steven has everything possible going for him. He is amazingly talented in voice!
He is honest & sincere. He cannot create a talent in us that is not there. He tested me with chords, etc. , however we do not know if I have the talent to continue. Only my first lesson. He does not believe to continue if we both feel the inert talent is not there. He is ethical & moral.
Steven is patient & calm but has this inert enthusiasm that supports you, so you feel uninhibited & give it your best when you are with him in his quiet studio.. He is totally with you every second. I couldn’t ask for a better teacher. 5 STARS!!!!!
I have been studying Broadway singers for years. I have been a Musical Theatre performer for years and I am still studying singing, acting and dancing. I am still young and know what it feels to want to better yourself everyday, so I can relate to most learning students. I put a lot of importance to vocal training, technique and warm-ups.
Lehman College, Bachelors of Fine Arts, Graduate! I am a Musical Theatre Performer. I perform all the time and believe that warm-ups are a big importance when it comes to performing. Technique is something I have been studying for a while, and I am consistently learning what new techniques work for myself too. I teach singing, acting and other subjects too, check them out!
I have a degree from the Manhattan School of Music in classical voice performance. I also performed in the Phantom of the Opera on Broadway for 4 years, and with the Cats national tour for 4 years, and was privileged to be in the revival of Cats on Broadway for its entire run.
I love helping others grow in their love of music. It should always be a positive experience! I have a degree in classical vocal performance from the Manhattan School of Music. I toured with the national Broadway tour of Cats for 4 years, and performed in the Phantom of the Opera on Broadway for 4 years. I was also privileged to perform in the entire run of The revival of Cats on Broadway. I have students who are professional recording artists, and am happy to report that ALL of my students are working professionally!
I’ve been learning from Nathan for some time now. And the difference it has made in my technique, musicality, and presentation has been tremendous! He is kind and caring teacher that always makes you feel comfortable at whatever level you go to him.
I found him while preparing for an audition for a musical theatre gig. He was quick to respond and punctual with setting up the lesson ASAP. We went through the material and his instruction helped me craft not only how to show my best self in my presentation but how to do it in a healthy, long term way. I’ve been back to him several times since. His knowledge of the voice and music is endless. He can make anyone be better and feel better about being a vocalist. I recommend him to everyone!
Singing is so much more than just singing! In my studio, you will unleash your unique voice by letting go of unnecessary habits and setting up your body to produce a variety of healthy sounds. In addition to the vocal part of singing, we will work on diction, music theory, stage presence, and learning how to practice on your own. Whatever your goal may be, we will work together to find the best techniques that work for you.
About Sara Lin
I'm a classically trained opera singer with a passion for performing and teaching! I hold a Master's degree in Voice Performance from U. of Colorado at Boulder and a Bachelor's degree from U. of Minnesota - Twin Cities.
Originally from Oskaloosa, IA, I grew up practicing 4 different instruments and singing in children's choir. Music has taught me an infinite amount of life skills and I love to pass those lessons on to my students!
In my studio, you will learn to unleash your unique voice by using your body most efficiently and eliminating unnecessary habits. Lessons also include work on diction, music theory, stage presence, and learning how to practice on your own.
Singing is one of the most joyful activities you can do! Anyone can learn to sing. I love teaching others to sing and perform, and I've been doing so for over 20 years - through private lessons, music theater workshops, music schools and choruses. I work with students at all levels and help them to build a solid technique that works for them.

Catherine has been teaching private lessons since 1995 and is currently available to teach lessons at your home, at her studio, and online. Catherine has helped students to develop their voices, audition successfully, and perform with confidence on stage and screen.
Catherine received her education from Boston University where she received a BM degree in Vocal Performance. She was a post-graduate artist at the Boston University Opera Institute and studied in Italy with legendary tenor Carlo Bergonzi. Aside from formal education, Catherine has performed on stages including the Metropolitan Opera and Carnegie Hall in concerts, operas, and musicals. Her largest audience was 18,000 when she sang the National Anthem at an NBA game. (Go Spurs!) As an expert in her field, Catherine looks forward to helping new students achieve their
goals. Catherine's teaching style is encouraging and enthusiastic.
In my studio, you will learn to take your space vocally and physically as a performer! We will work on a relaxed and engaged posture (through my experience work with Alexander and Feldenkrais technicians), singing/speaking the truth of the text, and a healthy, bright but warm sound that will wow any audience and audition panel. I also specialize in character work, through my own experience performing Opera and Musical Theatre with such companies as Santa Fe Opera, Sarasota Opera, Opera Idaho, Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theatre, and Carnegie Hall to name a few. Come join me to have a positive, exciting, and long-lasting vocal journey!
Lauded by Opera News as having “showed vocal confidence [...] his luminous head voice blooming with expansive and penetrating phrases“, and by Opera Today as bringing "the performance to an awestruck standstill with his exquisitely sung (aria)... He cuts a fine figure throughout the performance, with an intense stage presence” Peter has performed such roles as Rodolfo (La Bohème), Alfredo (La Traviata), Il Duca di Mantova (Rigoletto), Macduff (Macbeth), Nemorino (l'elisir d'amore), Turiddu (Cavalleria Rusticana), and Justice Scalia in Derrick Wang’s Scalia/Ginsburg, performed at the Supreme Court and featured on NPR’s All Things Considered. Peter has performed in such venues as Santa Fe Opera, Sarasota Opera, Opera Idaho, Anchorage Opera, Maryland Opera, Lancaster Symphony, Richmond Symphony, Helena Symphony, and Carnegie Hall.
As a t
eacher, students have said about Mr. Peter: “Peter helped me get to my high notes with a bright sound that felt relaxed and easy” -Brett Andrews, Tenor/Dancer “Peter’s experience as a performer helped me not only achieve a healthy full sound, but a strong connection to the role through body work and character analysis.” -Abigail Lawsonn, Operatic Soprano My technique is based on a relaxed but engaged posture, the management of air instead of "pushing" or "shoving" air, a bright but warm sound, and taking your space as a performer, a singer, and a human being.
