I am a beginner, but because of Larry's different method of teaching music theory, it was easy for me to understand the fundamentals of music scales and consequently the origin of the chords and how they are formed. Larry goes the extra mile to make sure that you capture and understand the concepts.
Thank you!

About Malik
Malik H. is a Philadelphia native musician. Beginning his music career in high school, Malik has made significant accomplishments during his time playing. He was a member of the Central High School Jazz Band, and also being selected for the All-City Jazz band in 2011 and 2012. Malik has studied under Dan Monaghan, Jazz drums teacher at Temple University. In addition to his Jazz studies, Malik displays versatility by playing at Greater Exodus Baptist Church, and playing for several local artists including genres of R&B, Hip-hop, Rock, Gospel, and Pop. He has played at several venues throughout the Philadelphia area including The Arts Garage, Warmdadddys, The Underground Arts, The Kimmel Center, The Philadelphia Convention Center and more. Significant performances he has participated in includes opening acts for Sugar Hill Gang, Tye Tribbe
tt and Kierra Sheard, and performing with James Fortune and Karen Clark Sheard.

As a student at Valley Forge Christian College, Malik has participated in the Wind Ensemble as well as student led “The Art Of” music group. While in college Malik returned to Central as a student instrumentalist mentor where he demonstrated concepts in Jazz to young instrumentalists, enhanced overall understanding on drums to students, assisted in developing technique, and how to read music. He has also participated in Central High School productions of three musicals including “Annie Get Your Gun,” “West Side Story,” and “Hairspray,” where he was a member of the pit orchestra.

In fall 2013, Malik transferred to Temple University as a Entrepreneurship major with the goal to start his own entertainment company promoting positive arts. Malik believes today’s artists and entertainers play an important role in in the health of communities and society in general. He believes Artists have the opportunity to reach people in a way no other form of media can, and must take responsibility for the content that they put out. The great deal of negativity in today’s entertainment industry is the driving factor to Malik’s Hard work.

Upon completing only one year at Temple University, Malik moved to Tampa, FL in February of 2014 to expand his connections and grow his business. While in Tampa, he has worked with several artists, including Indie groups Legacy West and House of Woodbury. With Legacy West, he played the role of the drummer and producer, and was able to take the group’s music to the next level of production and played on the recording of their single “Take It or Leave It,” which won the Akademia award for best song in November 2008.

Today, Malik currently resides in his hometown, where he works at The Soundlounj, a rehearsal venue in the East Oak Lane section of Philadelphia, and House on the Hill Recording Studio located in Belthlehem PA. He is also working on several projects, which includes the band that he has formed, NewERA, and several NewERA artists.

My son was tutored by Matt in Biology. Matt's subject matter expertise and enthusiasm for the subject had a positive impact on my son's academic performance in 9th grade Biology.

Matt partners well with parents, is very responsive and flexible with scheduling and is an overall pleasure to work with.

You or your child will have a great experience in working with Matt.

Matthew is very knowledgeable of the game. He is easily approachable and has the ability to connect with students of all skill levels as well as multiple generations. My teenage son was comfortable with him immediately and he is not always receptive to learning if the setting feels awkward to him. As for my own experience I received valuable insight into my own games after reviewing score sheets from tournament games and isolating those ever present blunders that seem to lurking on every chess board just waiting to be discovered. Anyway I give a hearty two thumbs up to my millennial friend.

Moe is a good instructor, he has a lot of experience with teaching basics and intermediate topics in the fine arts. Not only is he familiar with traditional painting and techniques, but his practice itself is very innovative in inspiring you how to harness your own skills and seeing artmaking in your own way.

Hello! I have been tutoring for nine years, and I have a Master's degree in Astronomy & Astrophysics. I love teaching, and I make sure to incorporate real-life examples into my math and science problems to help people develop an appreciation of the subjects. When tutoring French, I add elements of culture that I have learned from my multiple trips to France (including an entire summer in Paris!) to make the language come alive. Book a lesson with me and see how I can help you achieve today!

Crochet lessons: I have been crocheting for 14 years, and I love to get creative with it! I make stuffed animals, blankets, and articles of clothing both from patterns and from my own imagination. Whether you've never held a crochet hook before or just want to learn some new skills to add to your repertoire, I would love to help you pursue crochet a

Allison is VERY sweet, patient and thorough! I really enjoyed working with her. I learned SO much in just one hour!! I was hesitant about taking the lessons as I've tried lessons at my local Michael's store but didn't get much out of it. One on one with Allison was the right decision. If you are just thinking about it - DO IT!!! You won't regret it. I'm looking forward to next week's lesson with Allison :)

About Rakesh
My passion of teaching originates from my personal interest in learning. I get a sense of accomplishment when I facilitate the success of another individual with my teaching. As a graduate myself from a top 10 US university, I understand that to succeed in today's extremely competitive world one has to be really good with the subjects as well as scores. I consider this as an opportunity for me to help other students succeed in getting admissions to colleges of their dream.

I am a Chemistry/Chemical Engineering graduate and very well versed in Math and Chemistry subjects. I specialize in teaching AP and SAT Chemistry, Maths; precalculus, Algebra and Geometry, high school Chemistry and Math. I have tutored more than 10 students in the last 12 months and ~80% of them have got excellent scores in SAT and AP subjects.

I generally start with
understanding the requirements of the students as well as their learning style. I adapt my teaching style according to the students. I believe in open feedback and will continue teaching the student only if both the parents and the student involved are completely satisfied. I am generally flexible with the time (during weekends, and after 6 pm on weekdays).

I am very confident that your child will enjoy my teaching and be able to excel in the respective subject.

I have a doctoral degree and 30 years of teaching experience in mathematics at public and private colleges. I have also done much one-on-one tutoring and curriculum planning. I am now retired.

I can help you learn arithmetic, algebra, finite math, trigonometry, or any other area of mathematics from primary or secondary school, or beginning college math. I have heard my students say things like "This is the first time I ever understood math!"

First of all, you have to believe that you are capable of doing mathematics. You may have heard well-meaning friends or parents say "You don't have a math brain" or "You are not a math person". These are counterproductive thoughts. In fact, anyone can learn mathematics. If you adopt a positive attitude and make good use of your study time, you can make great strides!

I am also a percussionist in the South Jersy Pops Orchestra. My day job is in academia as a master's student in philosophy at Temple University. There my focus is on music theory and time consciousness (and believe me, I have a lot of fun working in that field). I also like to write poems and little short stories on the side. Music and writing add so much to my life, and I love sharing that joy of music/writing with my students. I hope I may be of service!
