I am very happy with the Russian lessons I`ve had via Skype with my tutor Yana.
Each lesson she introduces a new topic in a well-planned way with the appropriate vocabulary and with special emphasis on pronunciation.
The lessons are very much as I requested and are proceeding at a pace commensurate with my ability to assimilate the content.
The lessons have been very instructive, at the same time relaxed & fun, so that I have no hesitation in recommending Yana as a Russian tutor.

About Wolfgang S.
CloseWhat is my approach? First of all, I listen carefully. I believe it is important for an excellent job to know precisely what my client wants to accomplish. Understanding this is the prerequisite to reach the goals of the student. There will be a permanent interaction between my client and myself to monitor the progress, eventually speed up the tempo or, if necessary, to slow down.
There is no dogma; there is only one main criterion: success.
About Wolfgang
During my stay in the US, I had the opportunity to develop curricula for teaching German in public schools as well as private schools and wrote articles in the field of German literature. Undoubtedly, my academic background (MA in German and English and a Ph.D. in the field of education) helps me to provide solid work for my students.
What is my approach? First of all, I listen carefully, very carefully. I believe it is important for an excellent job to know precisely what my client wants to accomplish. Understanding this is the prerequisite to give good advice, guidance and then, of course, a plan, a kind of strategy to follow in order to reach these goals.

German was the first language I learned in high school, and I am very attached to the beautiful sound of it. While others think of German as harsh, I know it as the musical speech of a friendly and wonderful people. I very much enjoy sharing it with anyone who is interested in the challenge and the reward!
About Luke
Foreign languages are among my favorites, and I have specialized in teaching Latin, Italian, and Japanese. As a geologist, I am also profoundly interested in the sciences. When I teach I like to understand where my students are coming from, what really inspires them, and help them to enjoy and love what they want to learn. For me, learning is always fun, so whether you like to study or you are having trouble motivating yourself to concentrate, together we will discover the joy and fun in what you are studying.

Luke is a knowledgable polyglot. He is very patient and teach me step by step. The teaching style is super logic. I learned a lot from him. And I just came to U.S. My English is not so good. But Luke could teach me Spanish very well. I will continue to learn with Luke.
Such an amazing teacher!

About Sam G.
CloseI love all things German and my aim is to encourage my students to feel the same. I've been teaching German for 3 years. My students go from knowing no German to being able to hold conversations to eventually completing their grad studies in a German speaking country!
Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to introduce yourself and before you know it be a German whizz. I try to base my lessons around modern German pop culture typically using current events as inspiration. My lessons feature video links, audio, worksheets, textbooks, and more.
About Sam
My name is Sam (short for Samantha). I'm from England but have been living and teaching in the USA since 2014 where I studied for my MA in German Studies at the University of Florida. I started learning German in school at 14 so I know what it's like to learn this language as well as teaching it. I perfected my German skills by studying German as my major at undergrad, studying in Düsseldorf plus living and working in Berlin. I have a huge love for all things German and want to pass that on to you. German can be a tough language to learn but it really is rewarding. I consider myself to be an approachable teacher who will always strive to steer your lessons to cover things that interest you personally.

About Rebecca B.
CloseI became fluent in German by living in Germany for three years. Full immersion was the best way for me to grasp the language so when I teach German I will speak in German 90% of the time. You will learn German the same way you learned your native language; by listening, watching, and context clues. It may take some time but you will go from hearing gibberish to being able to distinguish words in sentences to understanding those words. The most difficult thing will be the grammar but you will feel such pride as you begin to communicate in German.
About Rebecca
After teaching in urban and suburban schools in CT, NY and Washington DC I moved to Germany where I taught English as a Native Speaker for three years. That's where I became fluent in German, learned a lot about myself, and worked on my cut paper bird series.
Over the years my students have grown tremendously. They have become creative thinkers and individuals. It brings me great pleasure to see them as they reach their goals and exceed expectations. Especially when it comes to students who I have helped t
I intend to continue working hard to help people reach their full potential. When you become my student you will have my full attention. I will give you the tools to reach your goals whether it's painting something you are proud of, having a conversation in German, or knitting a sweater.
