Great Teacher

Yuichi has been a really great teacher for our 7 years old son. He is very patient and really great with kids. He's made a real effort to get our son interested in drumming and music more generally, introducing to different sounds, rhythms and types of music. My son really enjoys his lesson and is making good progress!

Our son is 7 years old and started drum lessons with Yuichi several months ago. My son absolutely loves his classes with Yuichi and would go more than once a week if he could. We are very happy with Yuichi. He makes the lesson fun and interesting for our son, and at the same time teaching him what he needs to know so he continues to make progress. He is a great match for our son.

I have been playing drum kit and percussion for over ten years and teaching for about seven. I've played a little bit of everything - pop, rock, punk, hip-hop, ska/reggae, blues, jazz, and even musical theater. In addition to drum kit, I can play and teach hand drums (djembe and conga) in contemporary or traditional African, Latin, American styles. I'm happy to share my skills and expertise with drummers of all ages and skill levels.

About Gio

I studied music at UCF (Orlando), focusing on classical and jazz guitar, but I also have years of experience playing rock, blues, folk, hip-hop, and musical theater on both guitar and drums. I have been teaching guitar, drums, and piano for about eight years to students of all ages. Music is wh

Darrell helped me a lot to get a handle on my Ableton rig. I needed to set up midi tracks, locate presets to create cool sounds from plugins. Then I needed to export the audio of a couple of those tracks to import into a separate Pro Tools project. Lot of progress, thanks Darrell! -- Frank S

Nicholas is the best instructor for developing great technique, groove, & practice habits. I still use his methods when I'm learning a new skill or maintaining my chops. I always look forward to a lesson with Nicholas because he inspires and challenges you to be the best you can, both inside and outside of the practice room.

If you’ve seen Ed play, then you’ve seen that he is incredibly dedicated to detail and precision. These qualities translate to how he explains concepts and teaches. I attribute so much of the success I’ve achieved on the drum set to what Ed has provided for me.

Ed, I would like to thank you, and commend you for the dedication and superior training you provided to my son, Sterling. Sterling joined your studio young and lacking confidence in his drumming. You had great enthusiasm to keep him inspired and motivated yet, held him accountable to reach your expectations. He gained incredible strides working with you in all aspects of percussion!!! Also, you were a strong, respected leader resident teaching the students at The Denver School of the Arts. I would highly refer you to anyone seeking a quality, talented and over all good person who truly cares about his students to join your drumming studio.

From Online pupil from England George D.

Johnny is an awesome teacher. Instructive. Quick to find what you need to focus on. Patient. Insightful. Funny. Just what you need if your time is precious, but you can get in front of webcam for a few hours a week. He's helped me get those tones right and given me the confidence to grow. Really, really importantly he's always there for questions and support outside of the lessons."

"Mr. Pham is a wonderful teacher! He has worked with three of my children. He started with my oldest in middle school and worked with her till she graduated from high school. The second child worked with Mr. Pham until he decided he preferred the trumpet. My third child started with piano and has moved to percussion. "Steve D. is an excellent teacher! My daughter is in the band at her middle school, and she started taking lessons a few weeks before school started. She was worried about having to play a part on the bells that she did not know. Steve showed her exactly how to play it, and she was able to play the whole piece before leaving her lesson. She came worried, and she left confident! Steve is very patient, and is able to answer any question you ask him regarding percussion. He is very kind as well, and I would recommend him to anyone who needs lessons."
