My professional background and experience includes acting (stage & screen), directing, and playwriting. As a result, I often include aspects of each discipline in my work with Actors (including teacher development training sessions).
I present students of all ages with creative challenges within the scope of select (Spolin/Stanislavski-based) theater exercises and games, later providing them with more advanced opportunities to incorporate the related skills into their scene-study work.

I have studied under Strasberg expert, Marsha Haufrect for many years. I work with method techniques to help the student discover what is true and authentic in the character being portrayed.

I believe that acting is for everybody! Through acting, we grow our critical thinking abilities and analysis skills, as well as our ability to communicate effectively. Additionally, acting encourages self-confidence, empathy, and creativity. And of course, practicing a form of self-expression helps to blow off steam and decrease stress.

As an actor, I have experience with a variety of styles, including Shakespeare and Improv, and I am familiar with a number of methods, including Stanislavski, Meisner, Chekhov, Hagen, Alexander Technique, and Margolis Method. I believe in mind-body connection and building an actor’s toolbox for independent performers. I have taught actors of all ages and interests.

As a classically trained British actor and director with decades of experience in all genres of the business, I can help you develop your potential and talent and provide you with the tools and most importantly, the confidence, to take that audition by storm. Whether it be monologue preparation, cold script reading expertise, Shakespearean delivery, acting for camera, mastery of an accent, voice work, breathwork or movement, I will introduce you to acting techniques that will improve you performance and take it to the next level.

Best known in the UK for a starring role in a hospital soap, my career has ranged from straight drama to sit-com, theatrical comedy to Shakespeare and the classics, musical theatre to audiobook narration and voiceover.

I particularly relish helping launch young actors' careers but, whatever your age or ambition, I feel confident I can make a difference in spurring you on to achieve your goals and I promise you, we'll make it fun!

I have very strong opinions on the methods and find it often misunderstood. I am a very good teacher of the Tension-Relaxation in the Chair work as well as the Sense Memory work. I have the original list of Sense Memory exercises passed down from Lee Strasberg to the two women who I spent years studying with. This is very important work and I believe in it and understand it.
