Hi! My name is Dylan and I'm excited to be teaching in the Phoenix area. I moved here with my wife from Tucson to pursue a Master's degree, with the goal of eventually earning a DMA in Music Performance and earning a position as a Professor.
I have been teaching for about 7 years, students ranging from elementary to college level. I enjoy teaching because it's a fulfilling job. If my student has left without learning, improving, or feeling challenged, then I haven't done my job well enough.
As my student, I will do my best to ensure that we cover every aspect of trombone playing - technique, fundamentals, musicality, and everything in between. I will cater lessons to your learning style and your desired goals. Lessons are a very important investment, and I make sure that I leave my students feeling accomplished, challenged, and excited about playing.

What what stood out to me the most is that he has a genuine desire to see each student succeed. He and his wife, Sara are a beautiful teacher duo team!
He is the authority in any room and is easily able to create a sense of safety and purpose.
That is really important for children to learn well.
I want to also thank Maestro Phillips publicly because I felt overwhelmed with the size and weight of my harp and he taught me how to carry it properly, how to store it away correctly and how to transport it safely.
