Having received a Bachelor's of Music in Voice (Music Theatre Performance) from NYU, I stayed in NYC after graduation performing in musical theatre and theatre.
In 2009, I decided to apply to the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, with the intent to broaden my range of skill and opportunity as a performer, but also with the intention to teach, with the higher degree strengthening this possibility. I teach voice lessons to adults and young students who are beginning their vocal training practice, as well as those who are accomplished singers and performers and want to take their singing and performance to the next level! I use my skills as an accomplished vocalist and teacher to empower my students to find their own voice and learn to express a story through song. I enable my students to hone their craft and find their own style of expression through the exploration of music in a multitude of genres and cultures.

I have been singing since I was 3, anything and everything from Michael Jackson to Elvis Presley to Luciano Pavarotti. Originally from Colorado, I studied music/theatre, as well as vocal pedagogy at The University of Colorado at Boulder, where I graduated with highest honors. I made my Broadway debut in "The Phantom of the Opera" at age 24. I also performed in "Chess in concert" as a featured rock tenor soloist at the New Amsterdam Theatre on Broadway with Josh Groban. I have understudied and performed lead roles in the first AEA National Tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s "Whistle Down the Wind." Regionally, I have played many lead roles all over the United States in productions including "Les Miserables," "Miss Saigon," "The Wild Party," and "She Loves Me."

As an ASCAP recording artist, currently I am working in the studio with a full production team on my first pop/rock album. I also often sing on demos for producers and write songs for other artists in many different genres.
As a TV/Film actor, most recently I was on set with Marvel's "Luke Cage" on Netflix, and I played the lead role of (Abraham) Lincoln in the SAG-AFTRA short film, "These Honored Dead." I also have played lead roles in 4 SAG-AFTRA short films, as well as the comedic lead in a SAG-AFTRA Web-series pilot, "Bodega Nights." I was called back for producers as a Series Regular for both Cinemax and HBO.
TIYA clients include (aspiring) Broadway performers, Film and TV actors, singer-songwriters, voice-over artists, news anchors, dancers, comedians, corporate sales presenters, as well as karaoke enthusiasts, and songwriting hobbyists.
My TIYA members have performed on television in Smash, Glee, and venues around NYC ranging from The Underground, Le Poisson Rouge, Drom, Cornelia Street Cafe, Arlene’s Grocery, to the Broadway productions of Ghost, Sister Act, Evita, Wicked, West Side Story, South Pacific, The Phantom of the Opera, and Rent to name a few.

For Singing, as a vocal technician/trainer I am like going to the gym for your voice. My exercises are safe, simple, and most importantly, I teach you how to practice correctly.
For ACTing, we can explore both the foundation itself with monologues and scenes, as well as the tricks of the trade mastering the camera frame and how to create memorable auditions for TV/Film.
For Songwriting, we can explore the fundamentals of both lyrics and music, as well as catchy hooks, production, and song structure.
You may use my time however you wish (Voice, Acting, Songwriting, or Artistic/Career guidance).
Most vocal sessions will usually be a combination of strengthening/conditioning exercises, and then exploring/performing a song.
The TIYA vocal training method is uniquely my own as it combines both Bel Canto and Speech Level Singing. Emphasis is on developing a relaxed, released, authentic vocal timbre to sing in any style. Concepts explored include: Coordination, Registration, and Intonation. Chest, Head, Edge, and Pharyngel registration, 2 instruments in 1, posture, breath management, vocal cord adduction, trigger phrases, ring, consistency, and more.
Most ACTing sessions will be theatre monologues, TV/Film sides and/or On camera auditioning craft.
Career consultations usually include how to get an agent, headshots, branding, and marketing to align your artistic dreams with a strategy for success.

I draw on a wide range of materials in The Holistic Piano (and voice) method. The curriculum may be color-based or number-based, we might focus on chord building or sight-reading, or Songwriting, depending on the student's need and desire.

I have a grand piano, 1 keyboard, and a variety of other instrument including hand drums, chimes, boomwackers, a chimealong and autoharp to enhance learning experience.

My performance credits include Thomas Marek's show NOLA, the sound art/tap performance Homöostep, the Tap Ahead Festival, and Daniel Luka's T.A.P. My current main project is Neosole, which explores tap as a music instrument, as a full member of the rhythm section, not just soloing as a gimmick on top of the music, but being fully integrated, comping and providing a foundation for the musical context.
I have been invited to teach at renowned facilities such as tanzhaus nrw, tap club, and Rebeltanz, and to be a tap dancer in residence at Thomas Marek's Studio Footprints.
My artistic works have been featured in publications such as Average Art, The Tap Love Tour Podcast, What Moves You, and Not Random Art.
I first started tap dancing at the age of 10 under the direction of my Mom.
I consider myself a musician, and the tap shoes are my instrument. My style is deeply rooted in the aesthetic of jazz music and heavily shaped by playing in numerous jam sessions around Europe and New York City, however, my art transcends the boundaries of genres. It is merely a tool to create the most genuine and sophisticated expression possible. A catalyst to explore art as an extension of the human experience.
I call myself a tap dance musician because neither dance nor music could exist without the other. However, I don't move to look a certain way, I move to sound a certain way.
In 2012, Chris taught a yearlong Youth Breaking Program in Queens for ages 4-16, along with adult workshops. He also has partnered up with the non-profit ISA to hold Breakin' workshops.
He now performs with ‘Freestyle Expression’ company, and has weekly shows with funk band ‘Days of Wild’ lead by Papa Guyo (Sly and The Family Stone), and with New York’s own Akim Funk Buddha and Future (E.O.F./House of Ninja) and has performed hundreds of shows at venues such as Blue Note, Brooklyn Art Museum, B.B. Kings on 42nd, NYC Summer Stage, Brooklyn Botanical Garden, Bowery Electric, Lincoln Center, MMAC, Nublu, The Red Lion, Ulysses Folk House, the Delancy, SPIN NYC, Riverside Church Theater, NYSOM, Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theater, PMT Showcases, NYAFF, Choga NYC, Sapphire, and more.
Chris Became a resident teacher since 2014 at PMT Dance Studio (NYC) and hosted their weekly breakin' sessions 'Essential Sessions' as well as hosted & produced Monthly & Annual Battles. Chris also entered the freestyle battle 'Urban Renewal' with Freestyle Expression member Chihiro Cute-Beat making Top 8 in 2014 and Final 4 in 2015. In 2015 he began teaching in Brooklyn for Coming Scope Dance Studio and from 2015-2016 hosted 'Prop Circle Sessions' for freestyle dancers.
In 2017, Chris traveled to Japan and was invited as a guest for High Strokes exhibition freestyle battle. Now back in New York City, Chris has done numerous promotional work for companies such as SONY, Hyperbolic, & Visa. He also performs for private lessons, parties, weddings, & birthdays throughout NY & NJ.
For 2018, Chris has started to release his Online Breakin' Course for beginner & advanced students as well as another performance workshop for Soho Playhouse.
I am Keomi. I am a dancer, writer, lover, teacher and friend. I began training at the age of 12, and is skilled in Modern, West African, Hip Hop, Choreography and Interpretive Dance. Throughout the last decade, Keomi, has performed on stages for more than 20,000 people at Amber Rose's Festival, led private classes with celebrity clients including supermodel, Ashley Graham, and has delivered over 100 workshops across the country. I've starred, written and directed many sold out shows, and have featured in many viral choreo-films.
Her purpose is to use my gift to remind others how valuable and beautiful they are. I create a joyous space for people to learn new things about themselves, and support them in reaching their goals and desired outcomes.

For as long as I can recall, my curiosity to learn more propelled me to do my own research, so that I became informed enough to discuss such topics with my teachers throughout middle school, high school, and eventually college. In addition, I would spend my four summers at sleepaway camp as a bunk counselor supervising 10-15 campers at a time, to coaching lacrosse for boys and girls ages 7-17. Furthermore, these concepts of responsibility, leadership, and lesson planning have helped shape me into becoming the educator that I aspire to be.
As a young professional, pursuing my passion for education has become paramount. Since graduating from high school, I have taken advantage of every opportunity to hone such skills. My drive and determination to pursue my passion for education are steadfast.
