We practice together the scale degrees that are designated by Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3...), chor ds are similarly designated by Roman numerals (I, II, III). For example, in the key of C major the notes are C,D,E,F,G,A,B and we have designated them as 1,2,3,4,5,6,7. However, when we consider the triad chords in the key of C we have Cmaj, Dm, Em, Fmaj, Gmaj, Am, Bdim. These are designated I,II,III,IV,V,VI,VII. When speaking about these chords, for instance in the key of C major, we would call Gmaj the five chord, Dm the two chord,

She really knows her stuff and technique. I'd been to a few voice teachers before and they were great singers, but they didn't seem to have to really KNOW the techniques behind singing. Mariana clearly is a wonderful singer and has great training in what she does.

Since I started taking lessons with her about 5 months ago, I've seen a lot of improvement. She makes sure that you work hard every single class and she doesn't let you get away with not doing your best. Also, she has been working with me on fixing the bad habits I never knew I had before she pointed them out. Moreover, she is very observant and tailors each class to work on the things she sees you struggling with, even if you don't realize it yourself that you are having trouble. Eliza has taught me so much and I'm sure that anyone would benefit from taking her class.

I can teach: popping, locking, waving, tutting, liquid, sliding, house, footwork, breakdancing, acrobatics, choreography, improvisation, and theatrical.
I can help you build your own style. A style that specifically pertains to you. I'll show you how to incorporate concepts, themes, and ideas, to tell a story, or to just express yourself through movement and rhythm.
I love teaching, and I love that look i
If you want to learn hip hop, house, or fusion- I am a very patient yet motivating teacher. I can be strict at times, but only when needed ;-)
Classes focus on ideas and concepts as well as ways to act them out. We learn how to utilize balance, emotion, finesse, attention, and focus to transition between movements. Exploring performing with character, style, technique, and form to develop their own individual philosophies on movement. We dissect different instruments and rhythms to experience them in different parts of the body. Integrating hip hop, ballet, modern, house, and martial arts into one cohesive style.
My goal is to foster artistic growth and to help you surprise yourself!

Television and Film acting can be different, and we will explore ways in creating a character for the nuanced demands of screen acting.
· Shakespearean Acting ·
In leading our class through all aspects needed to put on a quality Shakspearean production the two not only taught us the skills necessary in creating an efficient and positive group dynamic, but also worked meticulously with each of us as individuals to help us build personal confidence and overcome any individual barriers we might have.
Whether you're looking for professional high level coaching to bring your acting career to the next level or have zero background in acting and are looking for a starting point, these are two of the most kind hearted enthusiastic individuals I have ever met. Their experience and knowledge in the industry as well as their ability to work with all skill levels and ages will most certainly provide you a positive experience, leaving you with skills able to be applied to your acting career and so much more.

With Emmanuelle I took a few dance/acting workshops. She has a very positive and constructive energy, making a space where students feel comfortable to take those artistic risks, and put everything they have out on the table. In her workshops she taught us by example how to commit to every movement, and how to stay in character while still focusing on the movement.
David and Emmanuelle throw their whole heart into everything that they do; this makes them inspirational teachers and mesmerizing actors. They are generous with their time and extremely encouraging. However, these two are not afraid to challenge you, and it is because of this that under their direction I grew so much as an actor. David and Emmanuelle truly are an inspiring, talented and commited pair of teachers.

Do you love dance, but aren't sure if you're mentally or physically prepared to devote years toward becoming a professional dancer? Dance is a fun, creative, and even life-changing hobby, but it can be even more than that. No matter what your academic interests, you can find a job that harnesses your love for the stage. In reality, ballet companies and other dance troupes only make up a tiny, elite percentage of dance-related employment opportunities. You might be surprised at the volume and va … Read More
