About Jessie
Thank you for your interest in lessons! I hope to help you achieve your goals and improve your skills, whether you're looking for music lessons, or help in math. Every student is a unique person who deserves a lesson customized to their individual needs. Each of my students prosper in an atmosphere of patience and encouragement. While the lessons are fun and enjoyable, the serious student will be supported in the development of skills leading to a rewarding career, and the more casual students will grow in an appreciation of knowledge that will enrich their lives.

Experience:

I received my bachelor's degree in music with an emphasis on vocal performance at the University of Redlands in 2011 (which I attended on a music talent scholarship), and am now an active performer in Los Angeles, CA. I have been tutoring and teaching privat
e lessons for almost 10 years, and currently have over 40 active students.

I have played leading roles in several operas and musicals in Southern California, including Gianni Schicchi, Die Fledermaus, La Boheme (DTL nominee), The Impresario, The Grand Duke, Patience (DTL award), Cosi fan tutte, Little Women, Seussical, and many more. I have also appeared in several concerts, opera scenes, competitions (winning music scholarships and theater awards), and worked as a singer in churches, restaurants, and in pop bands. I continue to stay active in the performance industry, and I could never live without it!

With this experience under my belt, I feel a desire to pass on my knowledge to students. I carry a strong passion to help people develop their abilities and make them their own. I truly believe that if someone wants something out of life they will achieve it with dedication, perseverance, confidence, and by having FUN doing it!

LET'S MAKE MUSIC!

About Erik
Pianist, music director, and vocal coach, Erik was born and raised in Eastern Washington state. He has been heard all across the northwest and beyond, in cities including Seattle, Portland, Tacoma, NYC, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Houston, and internationally in Prague and Salzburg. Erik has been a guest artist at Whitman College, Portland State University, The Kairos Chamber Music Lyceum, California State University Summer Arts, the West Seattle Symphony, and the Gig-Harbor Peninsula Symphony Orchestra. In addition to performing, Erik’s passion for teaching has led him to be an adjudicator for various festivals including the Washington Sonata-Sonatina Festival and the Washington Regional Solo and Ensemble Festival.

Erik is currently the Music Director for the National Tour of Kander and Ebb's timeless musical Cabaret. This produc
tion will be on tour until May 21st all across North America. Broadway.com's review of the opening night in Nashville praised the musicianship of the show, "Musical director Erik Flaten's musicians are impressive in their dexterity: At one moment, they are providing rich interpretations of the memorable John Kander score, while perhaps at the next they are playing denizens of the Kit Kat Klub or neighborhood thugs, wastrels and other folks of questionable repute. Flaten and his band are given their own richly deserved moments in the spotlight at the top of Act Two and the music director himself is given the well-earned final bow at the end of the curtain call.

Newly relocating to the East Coast, Erik is highly sought after for his collaborative work with both instrumentalists and vocalists. He is comfortable in all musical styles and genres, and has an extensive knowledge of music history and theory.

Students of Erik have the opportunities to perform in studio recitals and workshops.

About Corinne
I am fun, outgoing, and personable when I teach. I take my art very seriously and I love to spread it with my students! I am a professional dancer and have danced with several companies including The Old City Sweethearts and Ujima Dance Theatre. And now, I am permanently with Allegory Dance Theatre. Allegory Dance Theatre has done several types of performances. We have performed at a vets home, elementary school, Philly showcases, with a professional orchestra, and with the Jersey Fringe Festival. I live in south jersey and teach all genres and all ages at The Haddonfield School of Dance. I have been teaching for 4 years and am up to date on current and classical styles. I went to Rowan University and earned my BA in Dance and BA in Theatre in just 3 years because I couldn’t wait to start my career. I don’t have a favorite age to teach be
cause each age brings so many different things to the table. Teaching private lessons is so rewarding for me as a teacher and as the student. I love to share my passion for dance and all of the amazing things it brings.

Corinne is absolutely the greatest dance teacher of all time. She's so patient and thorough with her lessons, and does not tolerate misbehavior from her younger students, which is so hard to find from teachers nowadays! She makes lessons fun and interesting for the students while also making sure they actually learn instead of goofing off. She's great at keeping them interested. Plus my daughter loves her and always asks about taking more classes with her! We've been to three studios, and Miss Corinne is by far the best teacher we've had. We will definitely be coming back for her. Highly recommend taking a class with her!

I am a college level jazz musician.
My primary instruments are jazz guitar and upright bass.
Growing up I have always wanted to sing but never could find a qualified teacher.

Luckily, after extensive research online for vocal teachers I discovered Kara.
I have been taking lessons with her for a while now and she's wonderful.
I always have many questions for her in my lessons and she always has a knowledgable response.

I feel like I'm progressing and finally learning how to sing properly with someone who knows their stuff.

I would highly recommend studying with her.

About Brian "Bizzy"
Brian “Bizzy”, an altruistic and empowered professional in the entertainment industry, started dancing in his adolescence. During Bizzy’s transition to becoming a professional dancer, he had the opportunity to work with Freedom Theatre (located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) for various productions. Subsequent to networking with many managers and directors in the business, Bizzy landed his first series of opportunities to choreograph many shows and projects throughout the Philadelphia region.

In 2007, Bizzy decided that it was time to relocate to Atlanta, Georgia so that he could further his studies in dance. He also received a few teaching positions (Dance 411 Studios and Gotta Dance Atlanta), which helped him solidify his niche and market his brand as a dancer/choreographer.

A year later (2008), Bizzy decided to relocate to Los An
geles, California where he could focus on breaking into the industry. Moments later, he received a few opportunities to teach at some of the most sought after dance facilities in Hollywood (Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio and Debbie Allen Dance Academy).
