Upright Bass is my main instrument. It's what I love and I want to share that love with anyone who wants to play the bass. The lessons are your time as a student. I am here for you and I am here to guide you on the path to success. What I think is really important is always being goal oriented. We will take what you want to do with the bass and plan how we will get there using technique exercises, solo pieces, and fun stuff you choose to learn.
I am a professional freelance upright bassist in the Philadelphia Metro Area. I came to the Classical Bass when I was 17 and fell in love with it! In my experience, I have learned that there are two very important things: Musicality and Flexibility. The music always comes first! It's what I do

Hi there and thanks for visiting! I have been playing guitar, singing, writing and producing music for the greater part of my life. My endeavor is to guide you to an understanding of one or many of these facets and give you the tools you need to become your own teacher as you continue down this path.
Below is a brief synopsis about the lessons I teach:
There will be very little music theory. I never needed much of it to write my own music, other than a few basic theories to get around successfully, so it’s not something we’ll spend a whole lot of time on. I have organized and constructed a course book to keep things lively and moving along efficiently. I call it NOTEbOOK. It’s also great refresher material to revisit in the future.
I teach basic guitar with accented professional appeal and rhythmic structure. My intention is to guide you to create your own original music using straightforward techniques. My goal, once we part ways, is for you to leave ...
I’ve been a writer and musician since I was a teenager, and have been teaching music lessons for over a decade. I began journaling at 15, mostly free-writing and poetry. This was my segway into guitar and songwriting. Over the years, piece by piece, I’ve gathered many angles to my myriad profession

Kasumi is an experienced performer and teacher who is motivated to provide the best possible online learning experience for her students. Equipped with high quality technology in computers, recording devices and cameras, she is ready to give you an all-encompassing online educational flute experience.
Hi, my name is Kasumi and I am a graduate of the Eastman School of Music, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and an alumni of The United States Army Field Band, where I worked as a professional flutist for seven years. I currently study with the principal flutist of the San Francisco Symphony
I was so lucky to have Kasumi start in 6th grade and continue through high school with me. Along the way she picked up many awards through the Seattle Flute Society, the Seattle Young Artists, and the Seattle Youth Symphony where she was first chair in every orchestra. Her high school career culminated in being selected to attend the very prestigious Eastman School of Music with a very generous scholarship.
Kasumi has a sparkly personality and that sparkle shines in her playing. Building on a solid musical and technical base she adds her own distinctive ideas and nuances to create a personal performance.
Having been part of the creative team to produce The United States Army Field Band Flute Fundamentals DVD, Kasumi is well equipped to teach beginners who have never opened a flute case to serious students hoping for a musical career- and to make it fun!
