#### About Viktor A.

CloseI understand how important an effective tutor can be. This is especially true when it comes to mathematics. The only reason I have had such an interest in math and why i am now working on my math major is because of a tutor i had back in 7th grade. She was working with me and 2 other students that were mathematically inclined, and from that point on i understood how important it was to have a good tutor. when it comes to mahematics, every step is crucial if you want to keep learning, amd i understand this more than anyone.

#### About Howard W.

CloseI have a doctoral degree and 30 years of teaching experience in mathematics at public and private colleges. I have also done much one-on-one tutoring and curriculum planning. I am now retired.

I can help you learn arithmetic, algebra, finite math, trigonometry, or any other area of mathematics from primary or secondary school, or beginning college math. I have heard my students say things like "This is the first time I ever understood math!"

First of all, you have to believe that you are capable of doing mathematics. You may have heard well-meaning friends or parents say "You don't have a math brain" or "You are not a math person". These are counterproductive thoughts. In fact, anyone can learn mathematics. If you adopt a positive attitude and make good use of your study time, you can make great strides!

#### About James E.

CloseI have been tutoring and teaching for close to a decade and we can discuss anything from elementary math up to calculus and statistics, including SAT/ACT prep. I attend Carnegie Mellon University and to date I have taken up to 3D Calculus and discrete math. I love an informal, back-and-forth relationship with students where we can not only solve problems and have fun, but most importantly discuss solutions in several perspectives to find the most successful method for students. Homework, test, SAT/ACT prep, and extracurricular advanced math all welcome!

##### About James

Whether you want to catch up with your current math course, get ahead and learn more advanced math, or aiming to ace your SAT/ACT I'd be happy to help. What I enjoy most is to have a friendly, peer relationship with students rather than being seen as just a tutor so you can expect to have fun while learning. However, what is most important to me is not l

Some might call me a "math nerd" (to which I take absolutely no offense) but I have other interests as well. Most recently I've taken up golf but I love playing any sport with friends. I also watch nature documentaries and comedies. And of course I also love videogames (Overwatch, COD, FIFA) as well as boardgames. To some parents these might seem like useless facts but as an experienced teacher I can tell you that connecting with students on unrelated topics has an invaluable effect on the student-teacher relationship and will make for a smoother, unfiltered learning atmosphere. Not to mention it's much more exciting to refer to a sports analogy for a word problem rather than the unrelatable problems people are unfortunately used to ("person A buys x ft of fence...").

#### About Morgan W.

CloseDuring this past year I taught Math and English at a private elementary school in the Czech Republic. I studied Electrical Engineering in University and that gave me a substantial Math base. I enjoyed Math in middle and high school earning a 720 on the math portion of the SAT.

My math lessons will begin with a level evaluation and goal creation. Through the one-on-one attention that students don't get in a classroom setting I will be able to tailor the lessons to their stengths and weaknesses.

If you think we'd be a good fit, send me a message!

##### About Morgan

I am also a competitive Archer and I have been learning Korean from my aunt for the past two years, so I understand the difficulties of learning a new language (especially one with a different alphabet)!
