About Ross
Ross has been teaching for five years in both a school environment - in which he helped develop a performing arts department from the ground up - as well as private lessons, where his students succeeded musically and theatrically, having performed on Broadway, Off-Broadway, with the Rockettes, and on international tours. His teaching philosophy is simple. Everyone can sing, most simply don't know how.

As a performer himself, Ross is a singer, actor, and photographer who graduated from the prestigious New York University with a Dual-Degree Master's of Music in Vocal Performance and Vocal Pedagogy. He has performed across the country regionally and on tour, in such iconic roles as "Marius" in Les Miserables, "Jack" and "The Baker" in Into the Woods, "Roger" in A New Brain, and "Anthony" in Sweeney Todd.

Proud member of Actors' Equity

About Sylvia
Hello! My name is Sylvia and I'm here to help you learn a new skill or master it to a new level! I've been teaching private lessons since 2001 and am currently available to teach lessons at your home, at the public library, and online. I have loved helping my students with education classes such as mathematics, english, science, dancing salsa and cha cha, painting, illustrating fashion, sewing, computer coding, playing the violin, to personal training.

I have always had many interests and luckily I worked hard at them with great teachers to achieve great levels. I went to University of New South Wales and earned a degree in Software Engineering in 2003, and also Sydney TAFE to earn a Fashion Design degree in 2009.

I'm a friendly and understanding person and my teaching style is patient, motivating, and positive. I believe everyone
can achieve what they want with the right mindset and the right opportunity. My aim is to help you reach your goals and make you feel accomplished!

I loved this lesson with Silvia. As an experienced fashion designer she could introduce me into certain steps that are required to produce my own clothes. This was very interesting and helpful. Thx a lot!

About Alexander
My current teaching focus is helping to enable young people to develop confidence, self-direction and self-reliance in their life's work by unleashing their creativity in various subjects while offering them new skills and techniques.

I have been enthusiastically teaching for over twenty-five years, generally in the fields of fine art and web development. Previously, I founded an alternative K-12 school in New Jersey, co-founded a Brooklyn based summer camp, and most recently, co-founded play:groundNYC, a junkyard playground for children on Governors Island in New York City, where children are self-directed in their play with an array of junk materials for uninhibited play and discovery.

I am a certified New York State art teacher, have taught K-12, college, graduate, and continuing education. I have a Masters in Fine Art from Pars
ons School of Design, The New School University and a Bachelors of Arts from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University.

Alex is kind and patient. He is always well prepared, explains things clearly and makes an effort to come up with new activities. We're glad we found a teacher so close to home and we feel lucky. My daughter looks forward to every class. Sometimes Alex's sons join the lesson. They are lovely - my daughter really enjoys their company and I'm glad that she has both individual instruction as well as the chance to work with his kids.

I started teaching professionally in 2013, after my Master's was accomplished. I have being working with people all ages. About Jessica
I am a visual artist who has been exhibiting my artwork across the US since 2009 and teaching since 2006. I got my BA from Vassar College, and a Masters in Education through the NYC Teaching Fellows program. I am deeply passionate about drawing and love to share this passion with others. I believe that art isn't for the talented few but for the passionate many and what counts most of all is that you're having fun!

My drawings tend to celebrate the beautiful and surprising in the mundane. I have worked in a variety of media but my preferred material is good old-fashioned pencil on paper. I have had solo and group exhibitions, my work has been published in print and online, one of my drawings is on the cover of a philosophy book, I have exhibited at several art fairs, and I have won many fellowships, grants, and artist residencies.

Our drawing lessons will begin with learning to use the most basic materials: charcoal, erasers, pencil and paper. We will spend a lot of time learning the art of looking because above all, drawing is about observation and translating what you see.
You will begin to notice improvements in your skills after the first class!

I look forward to drawing with you.

I have always loved to draw as a hobby, but could never get the hang of it. I found Jessica on Craigslist and she taught me how to hold a pencil properly to create the depth to my drawings I've always dreamed about! I highly recommend Jessica and can't wait till my next lesson with her! Thanks again!

Jessica is worldclass, and without parallell! When my 2nd Grade Sons teacher reccomended I enroll him in supplememtal art classes it took a few tries before we found a good fit, and 5 minutes in Jessica fit like an old shoe. Shes absolutely brilliant at keeping him motivated and focused and entertained, and I am so proud of how much progress he's made in such a short period of time. If I could give her 25 stars I would because 5 just doesn't do her justice.

About Erica
Hi All!

My name is Erica Jensen. I've studied the Visual Arts from third grade to college- about 14 years of experience-. I have been asked quite frequently to teach and share my knowledge with the masses; through either youtube or for personal classes, and I only recently have taken that advice and decided to share what I know. Only up until recently, did I think that what I had to offer wasn't anything anyone else couldn't get from somone else; UNTIL- I decided to help out a very close friend of mine with a college project and what she told me really struck home. She said, " You made me feel like I can do anything, no matter the end product. Even though you encouraged me to keep practicing to ensure my result would progress; what I took away from you helping me, moreso than anything, was the ability to make me feel like nothing matt
ers besides how I FEEL. Which created a farr better product than I ever thought it would be.."

That just reassured me that my philosphy on Drawing and Painting may be similar to others but still is MY OWN. And I should've thought of it that way from the beginning because, I believe whole heartedly that everyone's expression is unique no matter what! What's yours is yours, and what's mine is mine. And I would encourage you to OWN IT at every moment because that's the truth behind ALL ARTIST- We decided to OWN IT and let our expressions blossom to unimaginable heights.

About Sandra
Hello everyone!!! I'm a happy-go-lucky lady from Los Angeles, California. I've been studying traditional and classical art ever since I was a young girl, and found myself frustrated throughout the years trying to find like-minded people who value and prioritize the Academic Art method that the Old Masters of the past have gone through to become as great as they were (William A. Bouguereau, Eugene Delacroix and John Singer Sargent, to name a few). This led me to venture out into New York City and pursue my higher education there. As challenging as it was to keep my head above water with money and culture shock, I finally graduated four years later in the spring of 2017.

My goals now are to help other artists gain knowledge in attaining the highest possible accuracy in the foundations of drawing and painting, and ensure that they receive
a classical realist education that I desperately yearned for in my past. I consider myself boundlessly generous with my knowledge and passionate to share what I know with the world. I hope to meet you all, and thanks for reading!
