I've taken lessons before and have always become disappointed because there was never any structure to the lessons and theory was treated as secondary. I wanted to really delve into theory because that is the knowledge needed to have no limits. Finally, I found Jimmy. He is a true teacher. Jimmy makes sure he teaches you the theory behind what you are doing. I have been playing for over ten years and was not progressing. After just a few lessons with him, I am starting to truly see the fretboard. I am finally excited again!

I'm quite an experienced singer. I've been seen in a cappella groups and bands and solo for many years however recently I've had trouble reaching my higher range and difficulty with falsetto. James has helped me to figure out the issue and I'm working on proper breath support and other issues I was having. My hope is to continue singing for the rest of my life and James has given me proper approach for vocal longevity.

Private Drum Teacher

I make drumming understandable to someone who has not yet learned the craft. I will give you a series of tests to see what level your natural skill for rhythm is at.

We will work on getting you playing beats from day one. Whatever music you're into we will work on getting you playing that type of music. In addition, I will teach a break down of the basics and what has worked best for me.

Essentially I will implement the rudiments necessary to becoming a well-rounded beat maker. Depending on where you're at with your level of playing I will also play guitar to your drum beats so you're able to really enjoy the playing experience.

About Gregory

Hello, Future beatmakers! My name is Greg and I am here to unleash your hidden potential. If you have a burning desire to learn amazing tried and true methods to get you playing and keeping the beat fast, I'm your guy! I will never make you work harder than you want to, however, I will let you know

"First Time Student

My son has been taking drum lessons with Mike for several months. He had never played drums prior to his first lesson and Mike has been nothing but patient and very professional with him. My son really enjoys the lessons and is learning so much more than I expected. Super happy with Mike and his knowledge of the drums along with his patience and communication. Would highly recommend him!"

"We would like to thank John for becoming our all time favorite drum teacher. In just 7 lesson John managed to not only give our daughter the support and teach the techniques she needed for her upcoming concert, but also boost her self-confidence tremendously. Our daughter is a quite girl and as the only percussionist in the school band, she needed and needs to learn from someone with John's experience at teaching children.
Thank you, John. We can't wait to take more lessons soon!!!"

"Ray R. is what I would call a "Performance Teacher" to me. I am a guitarist and play with him to improve everything from rhythm to live performance skills. Not only is Ray an absolute beast of a musician, he is a wonderful teacher. As many people may know, just because one is a good musician it doesn't necessarily mean you also know how to be an effective teacher. Ray is the best of both worlds! I have improved leagues since I started playing with him some months ago. I COULD NOT recommend his as a teacher enough."

"Excellent drum instructor

Our son, Jonah, has been taking lessons with Mike for a little over 18 months. It was one of the best decisions we ever made for him. Mike established rapport with Jonah very quickly. He has learned our son's quirks, likes, capabilities - and tailors instruction accordingly. Mike is very professional, reliable, and there has never been a disconnect with communication. His studio is inviting to visitors, and we're so lucky to have him teach in our neighborhood."
