I have been teaching the ukulele for over 10 years to students of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels. The primary focus is learning chords, techniques, and strumming patterns that we can apply to various popular songs. We will also explore reading sheet music, reading tablature, and understanding music theory. Materials used for this class include various method books, songbooks, and customized lesson plans.

I've been teaching ukulele for 15 years. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to tune the instrument and play easy chords and songs.

My lessons tailored to the student. We’ll create a Lesson plan with goals and a have live performance opportunity quarterly.

I typically use Hal Leonard books, as well as various other ukulele books and songs. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels. I can't wait to meet you!

Taking up Ukulele was a great way to look at music from a new perspective. I love teaching ukulele to younger kids who cannot make chords on a guitar quite yet as well as adults who are serious musicians that have been playing for years. I welcome everyone from the novice to the hobbyist and do my best work with student requests.

Something about the freedom in the framework of four strings seems to make the Ukulele limitless to me. The Uke and its history has always fascinated me, and because I have Hawaiian and Portuguese relatives I almost feel it my obligation to play ukulele. I've been playing Tenor, Soprano, and Baritone ukuleles for 10 years and with it, have written jingles for NBC, recorded three albums of world music inspired compositions, and have recorded and played with artists like Phoebe Bridgers, Cody Simpson, and Annika Bennett at the Kennedy Center and other venues around the world. I would love to teach you all chords and voicings up and down the neck, chord/melody parts (so you can provide both the harmony and melody simultaneously) and teach you all your favorite songs with simple and emotional finger picking and strumming patterns that'll never go out of style.
