"Jimmy is a great teacher
I have been taking lessons once every week from Jimmy for over a year and I haven't ever been disappointed by a lesson we've had
. My favorite part of the lesson is always when we do the blues together at the very end. Overall, Jimmy is a great teacher."

"One of the best teachers around!
I have known Steve for many years as a fellow drummer and educator. We come from the same background as far as schooling
and theory's on how to teach students. I have subbed for him several times and have always been impressed with the knowledge and skill level of even students that have been with him for a short time. I would highly recommend him to anyone thinking about starting or advancing their skills!"

Denise not only has a beautiful voice, but a passion for teaching. She challenges my daughter to do her best, and improve every week. S
he has high standards, but knows how to encourage instead of discourage her students. We strongly recommend Denise if you are serious about learning how to sing!"

"MY BUCKET LIST ENABLER
AS A FEMALE SENIOR AND IN THE MODE OF SNOW BIRDING IN AZ, I NEEDED TO CROSS OFF AN ITEM ON MY BUCKET LIST--TO RENEW MY INTEREST AN
D PROFICIENCY IN PIANO AND THE JOY OF MUSIC. CHILDHOOD AND YOUNG ADULTHOOD LESSONS WERE DEFERRED BY MARRIAGE AND CHILDREN. NOW IN MY SENIOR YEARS, I HAVE A YEARNING TO RECAPTURE ALL THAT WAS GOOD SO LONG AGO. AS LUCK WOULD HAVE IT, I WAS ABLE TO CONNECT WITH MARTY WILSON. SHE HAS GIVEN ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO REALIZE THE JOY OF MAKING MUSIC AGAIN AND PROVIDED ME WITH AN EVER CHALLENGING REPETROIRE OF SKILLS TO WORK ON, I AM SO GRATEFUL AND ENCOURAGE ANY SENIOR OR OTHERWISE TO REKINDLE A MUSICAL INTEREST OR BEGIN ANEW. THE SKILL, ENTHUSIASM AND LOVE OF HER "CRAFT" ENABLES ANY STUDENT TO ACHIEVE THEIR PERSONAL AND OR PROFESSIONAL GOALS. ME!! I AM JUST HAPPY TO PLAY THE PIANO AGAIN!!"

"Honest opinion on my lessons so far
Ms. Nino is an excellent teacher, she gives details on how to improve my technique and how to be one with the music,to
play from the heart not from the sheet music .And to add on to that Ms. Nino shows me different techniques and skills i should work on every week so it's never robotic practice and by the end of every lessons something new is always learned. From my personal experience with her it has been great so far honestly."

I decided to re-kindle my guitar playing skills after putting down the instrument for several years and not knowing what results to exp
ect. I was amazed to find my ability to play quickly returning while taking lessons with Dennis. He was patient, encouraging and always professional and courteous. I am now practicing every day and continue to progress. I would encourage anyone seeking a skilled and talented instructor to sign up with Dennis. He has versatility with many different styles of playing and accomplished at them all."
I am a piano-playing singer/songwriter and graduate of Berklee College of Music with a degree in Professional Music focusing on songwriting, performance, and teaching. I was a leader of my high school music ministry (choir) for four years (Bishop Brady H.S., Concord NH) and volunteered as a 2nd grade Sunday School teacher (Immaculate Heart of Mary, Concord, NH) in my senior year. I have several years of performance experience having performed at The Farm Bar & Grille in Essex, MA, the Lizard Lounge and Cantab Lounge both in Cambridge, MA. I have appeared on Community Auditions (2011) and compo
se music for local independent film company Door Eleven Productions. I have long had a passion for music and would feel rewarded to be able to pass my knowledge onto you! I am friendly, patient and open to just about any genre of music you would be interested in exploring. I am also able to provide a solid foundation of proper breath management, vocal exercises focusing on pitch and technique, and sight-reading. My goal is for you to be able to thoroughly develop your skills as a singer and performer!
*** Lesson Details *** I am laid-back but hardworking and expect an equal level of commitment from my students. I am primarily interested in teaching beginner-intermediate level pupils. Prospective students can expect to start each lesson with vocal exercises focusing on breath support, posture and pitch. Any professional performer understands the importance of warming up prior to performing! Once properly warmed up, you give your voice the range and flexibility it needs to sing beautifully and effectively! I encourage note-taking as well as recording the lessons either on cassette or even your cellphone to assist in practicing on your own between lessons. Depending on my students level of experience, I will then decide which songs to work on that would best fit your range and area of interest. Once a certain amount of progress has been made I will open the doors to my students deciding on songs they'd like to work on specifically as well. After 3-6 months, I would anticipate my students to be able to effectively warm-up their voices on their own through exercises we will have covered, at least a basic understanding of how to sight-read your melody and certainly have a handful of songs memorized and ready to add to your repertoire!
*** Studio Equipment *** living room portable keyboard seating for parents
*** Travel Equipment *** I would bring my keyboard to each lesson unless one was provided (tuned pianos are okay as well). I would also bring music and texts that I would find beneficial to each particular student. I would expect my student to provide a journal to take notes and track progress. Also, though not necessary in all cases, I would expect my student to have sheet music for songs they're interested in learning as well as CD/cassette/MP3/etc. of songs they're interested in learning.
*** Specialties *** I would start with a foundation of proper warm-ups, breathing techniques, and vocal exercises with me accompanying on piano. We would then spend the second half of the lesson working on songs primarily of my students choosing. I would be comfortable with just about any genre thus being able to cater to each one of my student's unique areas of interest.

Words will never be enough to express what Danielle has done for my daughter and her love of singing. Danielle has shown so much patience and commitment through her instruction and has boosted my daughters confidence 110%. She knows how to chose the perfect song for Alexis' voice and the emails that she sends after each session provide the proper tools for my daughter to carry out her 1 hour session to a full week. I could not have picked a better vocal coach for my daughter.

My daughter Julia has been taking singing lessons with Danielle since July. Julia is in second grade and this is her first time taking singing lessons. Danielle has devoted so much time to researching good vocal exercises and music selections for a young singer and also to learning the songs Julia was interested in singing. Danielle always follows up within 24 hours with the audio for the lesson and an encouraging email. Danielle is very patient with Julia and takes a genuine interest in her. She listens to the little stories Julia likes to share with her and remembers details of what Julia shares, and has even taken a little extra time to teach Julia a little about playing the keyboard. I can't say enough good things about Danielle. She is a fantastic teacher and a lovely person.

I run a mentoring program and one of my mentees really wanted to learn how to sing. Through Take Lessons we found Danielle. She is terrific. Very professional and very patient. My mentee is learning so much with Danielle's help. I don't think this 16 year old girl has ever really been expected to work hard on perfecting something so it has been so good for her. This whole experience has been a real joy!
I've been in and around music all my life. I started violin at age 5, part of the first generation of Suzuki violinists in the United States. I've loved being a professional violinist and violin teacher for over 30 years! And I've also founded and directed three community music schools in Newburyport, Boston, and Manhattan.
I hold Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Violin Performance, and I'm lucky to have had wonderful experiences during my formal training! In my undergraduate years, I was awarded a full 4-year scholarship for string quartet and chamber music playing, which was invaluabl
e as a real-world training. In graduate school, I was fortunate to learn so much as a Teaching Assistant for undergraduate violin students.
I have also been an innovator in musical education, and I've felt honored to coach numerous already gifted violin teachers who have sought me out to improve their techniques for best teaching practices. From my 30+ years of private violin teaching and observing how children learn, I developed a super fun groundbreaking class in New York City for 2.5 to 5 year old beginners called Crackerjack Kidz! And a few years ago, I wrote a text to accompany young students and their families.
I continuously work to be a master teacher dedicated to the very best methods, using a variety and combination of techniques and strategies tailored to the student's musical success and enjoyment.
My specialties include music-based early childhood development, adult beginners and continuing learners, intermediate and advanced players, and chamber music coaching.
I welcome you to start your family's musical journey with me!
*** Lesson Details *** While each lesson is different, we always try to spend a little time warming up, making sure we're comfortable and free of tension, reviewing what we've worked on, and layering in new concepts each time. We also learn age appropriate music theory (the "why's" of how music works), we exercise our imaginations, and we learn how to effectively practice.
We learn to think, solve problems, hear the music in our minds, and coordinate our bodies to play beautifully! Along the way we learn skills for life, the joy of accomplishment, and love of ourselves and others!
Whether you're a toddler or a senior, violin can always teach new things and help students appreciate more about themselves and the world!
*** Studio Equipment *** Music room with keyboard and computer. Parents can sit it on lessons, and are enouraged to do so with young students.
*** Specialties *** I'm a classically trained violinist and a master teacher with over 30 years of experience. I've been teaching Suzuki violin to children ages 3 and up for my whole career, and I'm also extremely comfortable with traditional methods for beginner, intermediate, and advanced students of any age.
My specialties include: music-based early childhood development adult beginners and continuing learners intermediate and advanced players chamber music coaching.

I immediately felt comfortable with Jill. She is so patient, kind, and supportive. As a first-time student of the violin, I feel incredibly lucky to have found such an invaluable resource as her. I will most definitely be signing on for future lessons with her.

I look forward to my violin lessons with Jill. She is a great instructor and I have learned a lot. She personalizes each lesson and I come away with tools to help me in the future. I know that she is going to make me a much better player.
I have been successfully teaching for over 15 years. I studied at the Hartt School of Music and the Hartford Conservatory and I have been performing with various bands and in many musical theater productions over the past 20 years.
*** Lesson Details *** My approach is to tailor each lesson to the students goals and needs. Everyone learns at a different pace and in different ways so all my students have their own custom lesson plan. The key is to relax and have fun!
Hi, I'm Kelly and I love teaching students to love music! I've been teaching private piano students for nine years, and have taught more than 200 kids and adults. My goal is to help my students explore their own personal gift of music - because we each have one! Whether your dream is to become a concert pianist, a pop music pro or play the Stars Wars theme song, I'll coach you to get there! Along the way, we'll have lots of fun learning through music that you get to choose and come to love. I look forward to meeting you!

My daughter's first lesson with Kelly was excellent. I can tell she was nervous, but Kelly made it comfortable for her. The moment we got home, she went straight to practicing.

Hi, Bob here...... very much looking forward to meeting you! I've been teaching music since 1980 (Guitar, Bass, Piano and Voice) and I love helping my students play well! Of course we throw jamming and/or composing music into the mix when desired and appropriate. Many of my students perform, and record their music. I earned my degrees from the Berklee College of Music for Performance and Music Ed. in 1980. I founded my School of Music in 1983, which served as a prep school for Berklee and other schools. We offered private instruction, courses, ensembles and recording courses and producing
artists and band's CD's. Many of my former students have become major stars and celebs in music. I'm a warm, funny, passionate person. I love to teach and my teaching style is a patient, step by step, and custom tailored approach for your individual needs and goals. Always an emphasis on FUN! My philosophy as a teacher is to give you the tools and help you develop skills with them so that you can learn and grow musically on your own! I look forward to helping you reach and achieve all your goals!
